Hello. If you are talking about race, I feed them the basketing day (day before de race), one time at approximately the time that they should arrive the race day. For example if I am racing a 200 miles race, and they usually liberate the birds at 7am, calculating 50 mph, it should take them 4 hours to get home. Then on basketing day I feed at 11am. Let me know if you get it
yes, i am asking about racing. thank you very much for the help. l feed my racing pigeons every day one time, in the afternoon. and they can drink water all day. I train the birds about 7.30 am, and i feel they have good energy. do you think I should change the feeding time to the morning time. because on basketing time they release in the early morning. thank you and give me your advise.🕊
@@adnanmehdi9741 I like diving the food twice a day because I am able to train twice a day when I can and the food is the only driving force to get them in. I do not like to ship the birds with food in crop because sometimes with the movement they vomit. If you keep feeding one a day try to on shipping day as I explained you before
@@quinteroloft9530 I see you fed them heavy at noon. Sometimes some Peeps hold back some feed to keep them a little hungry on the shorter races but 250 is almost middle distance. We use to have a white flag up and trained then to that and a white stick in hand. If the flag is down they knew to come in. We guide them in with the white stick and when they saw the stick they ran for the trap immediately. I guess it was that extra reinforcement. Perhaps also use a trapper van help to trap faster. 1 second loss can be a win vs 2nd place. Love the nice loft. They built in sections inside ?
@@zaahierstanley955 thank you for the advice. Most of the time they bit me home from training and that is why I always left the food inside ready for them. That is my reinforcement for them. Yes, I was feeding less on shorter races but I feel like 250 miles is kind of a long shot. Still learning the sport.
@@quinteroloft9530 you definitely doing an amazing job with them and thus far enjoying watching as I am newly subscribed. Thanx for sharing the content
Super birds and great looking loft that is obviously kept nice and clean & dry. Congratulations!
Thank you

Thank you. I watched all your videos. You had a great first year. Hopefully you got into pigeons again
They want more road it seems. That first one was still playing and looked so fresh
Thanks for watching. That is true, I wish they trap as fast as they do on training
