*Lionel*
RUclipsr, I am practicing HingYi (related to Yiquan style) for last 20 years. What you not seen that he put his body work an foot work into punch, push or pull - that is ground principle of style. So, yes it will help against bigger guy, because you will be able to deliver more force per pound of weight using correct technique. However, you still will have “big guy” fundamental problem - as having bigger mass, even without technique he has more chances of damaging you or sending you into knockout. Having say that, without technique your chances even weaker. And again, practice given you advantage against even bigger but not trained opponent.
@@Mitch32Bo193 I prefer to go train hard in China or in gym sorry. What is the point to share such videos?it is really clueless. Guo Guizhi or some serious coaches put all the materials online long time ago. Guo got the title of best coach of China in 2016. If you want to compare or compete it s up to you. Go train with such senior practitioners and you will see that the problem is not about my videos but about your's. By the way you don't have the minimum requirements of mechanics. There is no elasticity in your body. The use of song and ting is not correct and many other details, you lack 6 directions power. Maybe you should go train with other disciples of Yao to understand that. That is why I would not dare to put any video online as I am first to say that these prior requirements are not still perfect after 25 years of practice. Seriously what is the point to coach or add videos if the workout doesn't fit the requirements? It doesn't makes sense. We can't call that Yi Quan nor Da cheng Quan but at best a weird ersatz
We do use similar energy in Wing Chun, I find it to be useful when I want to break someone's structure. I'm a bit biased haha, but I would still prefer wing chun because I want my centerline to be covered (ur guard seems open down the middle!)! But Yiquan is an underrated art!
Hi 👋 You can find some similar principles. After your can add or not new techniques or not. As long as it works for you it’s ok. Thanks for watching. Lionel
And in Wing Chun your sides are wide open to hooks and round kicks.....as evident by the massive amount of Wing Chunners getting knocked out on video by other styles. lol

vraiment nice Mike! Clair et précis! Ça dépote!
Awesome thank you ❤
Would it work against a big strong guy?
Yes it will with a proper technique.

Waist rotation and forearm parrys take care of straight centerline attacks. I've only done Xing yi but this looks very similar.

C’est Lionel Froidure, le fondateur de Imagin Arts et des documentaires En Terre Martiale 😁

See Yang shaogeng's footage.

Won't work in UFC
Would you work in the UFC?
Of course because UFC is not reality. Just a game with rules, gloves, protections, referee...😁
