After watching Jacob's drawclass on practising art, this form of TTRPG is giving me such similar vibes. It's so great. I feel like doing a bunch of these could really help a DM hone their skills as it's a no prep, improv, one shot that never has to be thought about again. Gives me the same vibes as freeform sektches. If it doesn't quite go right, no problem, you've likely learnt something from it and there's always the next one to try again.
So glad to see you guys playing this again! After you released the first video, I got a group together myself and have hosted two games: the first was on a space YMCA featuring a Cindy Lauper clone, and the second was a Ninja Turtles ripoff, complete with commercial breaks every 15 minutes, where I would spitball an add for a product that the players could then roll to receive in game (instead of the usual rule for resources). Both times were a blast!

The song Marvin plays for the vault door is "St. Thomas" by Sonny Rollins. Or at least, it should be made so retroactively.

I needed to have taken the five minutes to think it through. I struggled with the mixed successes. I also forgot HP was a thing for this game, so conflict was nearly a nonentity. It was just a bunch of random traps to get past followed by some ghosts they had to throw a party for. The worldbuilding segment dictated that the group was a bunch of quirky Ghostbusters fans who ended up in a haunted house thinking it was a con. My players said they had fun, which I'm happy about and I know I shouldn't be too hard on myself, but I feel like I could have done better. TL;DR You're supposed to come in unprepared, but definitely take the five minutes you're alloted as the GM to think the plot through.
I love these ttrpg streams they do. They are so fun and a silly, good time. Side note: Karina's hair looks extra super cute here. 10/10 for stream, 11/10 for Karina's hair.
This game reminds me a lot of the RPG my friends and I made up in high school. The story is fully improvised, but there's no DM and everyone can control the plot points with their dialogue. We draw our characters on the spot, randomize their stats, name them by adding letters one at a time, and their class and special move are all picked from random word generators. Somehow, we've managed to create a coherent story with multiple arcs with 30+ characters over 6 years.
I fell asleep watching this vlod (vlog??!?! Whatever, words) of the stream, and I had one of the most amazing and vivid dreams. I was having an in-person adventure with a mashup of Drawfee + their characters, and when the stream ended I started trying to get back home as the manifestations of their characters faded more and more with each dream scene. Then a neighbor was rudely loud and interrupted the "welcome home/goodbye for now" end scene. Best dream I've had in about a year 🐢💖

I wanted to really thank y'all (especially Jacob and Karina) for the conversations you've had recently about wearing w/e the fuck you want regardless of gender, it's really helped me recently. I bought some super fucking cure rompers that I would otherwise be way too self-conscious to even consider buying, but your laid back attitudes about that sort of thing gave me the modicum of confidence i needed to wear rompers and makeup in public. For context I'm a 30 y/o bio male with a huge beard. I truly look forward to each and every single vid you guys post. Keep it the fuck up.

I wanted to really thank y'all (especially Jacob and Karina) for the conversations you've had recently about wearing w/e the fuck you want regardless of gender, it's really helped me recently. I bought some super fucking cure rompers that I would otherwise be way too self-conscious to even consider buying, but your laid back attitudes about that sort of thing gave me the modicum of confidence i needed to wear rompers and makeup in public. For context I'm a 30 y/o bio male with a huge beard.
