It's always a balance between freedom and security. Anyone can list a token on pancakeswap, which has both pros and cons. Uniswap is looking at lawsuits, and pancakeswap has even more scams. I don't know if regulation can stop rugpulls, but it can put some obstacles in the way.

A “DNS hijack” is when an attacker reroutes traffic toward a malicious server; in this case, the “hijacked site” was after credentials for for users’ accounts. Crucially, PancakeSwap’s smart contracts have not been hacked. Only the front-end of the website has been affected by this attack

Maybe you can sell but the owner can disable selling at any time. Usually they are lazy and they just disable selling from the start for everyone except themselves.

Have you looked at the contract code like I showed in the video? You can tell a lot more about the coin that way. If you can't sell, it could be a scam, or you may need to increase your slippage.

It's not necessarily "greed" when you go into a contract ("w/o knowing what's behind it")...Many successful investors have gone in, w/o "knowing what's behind it"...that is not greed in most cases. You greatly mitigate this risk (in your example here in the video), by simply giving it SOME TIME...WATCHING TO SEE IT "EBB AND FLOW" IN BUY AND SELL. Notice, here...there's no time line given: no ability to see the sells and buys.
The deployer wallet is exempt from the sell tax. This is what gives the illusion of "ebb and flow". There is no real ebb and flow. If you don't read the contract, that's your choice.
@@coinpumpinfo It's not the contract...it's the "code"...as you yourself said. Who reads the code? nearly zero-to-none. The ebb and flow (is of the price). Prices go up and down, over time. THAT IS HOW YOU PROTECT YOURSELF. Because THEN, there are hundreds/thousands of (buys and sells: of sellers receiving their BNB USDT et al)... My comment wasn't referring to the coin in your example. I have no reason to doubt what you'd posted is genuine. My comments are GENERALLY. Generally, if one does, as I've described without "reading the code"...you'll have eliminated most of the risk you've described.

The honeypot contract is using a whitelist, not a blacklist. You need to be on the whitelist to sell. Paste the bscscan link to the contract here and I'll check it out.
If you have some blacklisted usdt, they were blacklisted by tether, the company that controls usdt.
