I was around during this. Apparently, the $100 gift card was a BAD idea as they were making money through the shirts originally. This meant they were losing money, and by Shirtgate, it was pretty clear the company was going to go bankrupt. Shame since they did like their stuff compared to the American Loot Crate.
Wow never even heard of nerd block my buddy did get a year sub to loot crate as his brother gifted him one and he did get some cool stuff but nothing I was totally amazed with , there was even some megaman bits in the ones he got too
