Right, right. My husband and I are around $2.5M as we enter retirement but we are careful and frugal. I am still learning how to invest half of my pension. We prioritize healthy eating/lifestyle and we don't look wealthy bc we know we can't afford to keep up w the Joneses. (Not that we care either.) That money gives us security but nowadays that amount is very easy to spend if one isn't careful. I think I would feel really wealthy at about $10M but I'm not complaining. We are just thankful and content for what we have.

I agree with this....to me wealthy starts around $8-10million investable assets.
