Thanks for backing that up. I've had plenty of good encounters with SXSs from folks who take it seriously. Unfortunately I've had just as many bad experiences from folks who don't. I think part of it because they are so easy to rent for the day..and they are so dang capable, that there are often beginners or very casual riders on tough trails. In any case, drinking and wheeling is just stupid.

Love your video. I hate when I see multiple spotters giving direction at the same time. Land Cruiser had no business being on the trail with 2 wd. Going through the Idaho forests now I always bring a electric chains saw to supplement the hand saws I have. Last trip over Pinion Peak I had to remove 6 trees. With all the rain on the boulders I would always be afraid of slicing a sidewall as the water just makes a good lube for that sort of thing. Keep up the great videos.

... another fun fact about Washington Basin. Last time up we were back down at the highway airing up ... a guy stopped to ask if we were good and he was a local rancher who just so happened to own the plot up in the basin. The forest service has been wanting to close the trail from the meadow up to the top, but can't because of the plot he owns. I of course thanked him ... he was a cool guy. This coincided with a conversation I had with one of the USFS employees over on Trail Crk that also stated that the Sawtooth office was trying to arbitrarily close roads and restrict access.

Clarification….the alternator on the Bronco is mid engine…yeah not great. The allowed submergence is still 33.5” which is respectable to the wranglers 33.6”. For education to the Bronco owners out there the 4mph max is to keep from splashing up onto the alternator. Be safe and get home!!!

Dude. Americans are just all about the drama. Seriously the whimpiest trail I've ever watched with the most hyped up drama ever. Classic Americans.

Wait - you called me out for over dramatizing (which I 100% do so no argument)...then called this the wimpiest trail you've ever seen...lol. I think THAT's a little dramatic don't you think? Not saying it's the hardest trail you've ever seen...but it's not wimpy...come drive it before being so dramatic about it lol. Cheers.

A little judgmental in this video…

      What did you find judgmental??

Bagging on the side by sides, the peanut gallery, the guy going up without a front drive shaft. They were all there for the same reason you guys were. I love what you’re doing but off roaders need to stay united.

@@user-np2iy1tz9q From my perspective, it wasn’t judgemental. We recovered those guys in the Landy. We didn’t have to do that…we helped them out because it was the right thing to do, and like you say..we stick together. I disagree with their choice, but that’s not judgemental. The side by sides showed up and I called them the Calvary, or the Peanut Gallery, or both. So I was saying they showed up to help (the Calvary) but a bunch of them stood around shouting things (the peanut galley). But I didn’t mean it as an insult..it was just what happened. I do take issue with drinking and wheeling though. That’s not a good thing to promote. It was a very tense situation. Hope that helps give context. It’s hard to get all of that in the video without it being 2hrs long.

Thanks for listening. We’ve wheeled just about everywhere you’ve put out there and it keeps getting busier and busier here.

Judgemental, not at all, this is why America is weak. You say what you want to say and f everybody brotha. Tell them to write a note on your suggestion box toilet paper 🚽 wheel on my friend

😂😂😂. I get that I have viewers that drive different types of rigs though, and honestly do not see myself as judgemental. I do disagree with certain decisions though… in the end, we helped everyone out, and even shared a camaraderie moment with the SXS crew.

I have a 98 xj on 33s with a 4.5 lift.. Rock sliders , Trans and transfer case protection.. and a manual 5 speed.. I trust my spotters to get me through the rough stuff.. this trail looked challenging but very doable.. with a beautiful prise at the end.. I also run 10 to 15 psi, no bead locks.. slow and steady wins the race everytime.. thanks for the adventure..
