I agree with you, Amon Amarth has a distinct sound! Its really impressive that they pulled this off in melodeath, since the subgenre tends to sound really the same sometimes imo. Gonna request something non-metal this time, and also instrumental. Breakcore is an electronic genre focused about complex drum patterns, it tends to get pretty brutal in a way I'd compare to technical death metal. Venetian Snares - "Szerencsétlen" is a good one.
Visualize Viking hunters with spears and short-bows, a pack of wolves, both after the same prey. Men and wolves running throuth the trees, leaping the fallen. Why dogs and us get so long well together.
I count myself fortunate to live in a world in which a genre known as Viking Metal exists. Listening to this, I was seized by the urge to raid coastal villages in east England. (Did you know that in Norway there's a surname that translates into English as Bloodaxe? I sh*t you not.) RECS, because why TF not? "Superscalar" by The Algorithm, and "Unifier" by SpaceMetal.
Love Amon Amarth, but I recall hearing that they don't like being called viking metal? Cant remember where I heard this so idk for sure. Maybe because viking metal is more like the Bathory sound rather than melodeath?
Thanks for doing the vid man. This song stood out to me when I bought the record back in the day because of the violin part. I love how it builds up. Let’s add Elder - Sanctuary on the list. A band i discovered recently. More stoner than metal.
Juniio, I actually like how the song sounds very epic. This song has that "charge into battle" type of feel but at the same time has a sort of somber and then it just screams at your face that part was awesome. Also Juniio not to be mean/rude but when will you react to Metallica-The thing that should not be, I want to see what you think James Hetfeild's lyrics mean because I've listened to the song hundreds of times trying to understand what he is talking about in the song but I never could?
Real men love dogs and live for the Hunt.
The whole album sounds epic. Not even a single song disappoints!
Humans can be predatorial in battle like wolves as well. Metaphors rock

Should checkout a day to remember paranoia

Not to worry, when I end up doing that song I'll do my best to break down the lyrics.
