Angelina wrote Bad Valentine with Toby Gad 2 years ago when she was 16 and they recorded at that time on her and Toby's terms - the record company didn't know how it turned out until they heard it after it was recorded - now that she is 18 she and Toby decided to do a Jazzy version for Toby's next album Piano Diaries: Originals.
Thanks for realizing that the piano diaries is jazzy and reacting to it. It’s an amazing cover of her original release and imo wiLL be around for decades and maybe even a Grammy ❤🎉🎉
Great comments boys, definitely this version is the bomb. Angelina's voice is best served with minimal accompaniment . For those who think Angelina has strayed from her roots, this performances puts the lie to that. I am thinking back a decade to little Angelina singing Fly Me to the Moon set in the desert, with bare feet and a white dress. Here she is again, all growed up still wowing us.

Hopefully by the time they get around to thinking about a vocalist for the theme, Angelina's star will have risen sufficiently that it will be as obvious to the producers as it is to us angels, that she must be the voice.

However it’s possible that Angelina also had thought of doing a slower version. This new slower jazzy version is apparently for Toby Gad’s upcoming Piano Diaries 2 album. Actually the studio didn’t produce Bad Valentine! Angelina, Toby and Charolotte Jane wrote this song in 2022 when she was 16 years old! During the L.A. concert Angelina and Toby talked about it! This was produced by Toby Gad’s production company Kite Records, which Angelina appears to be on loan too! They did this version recently for Piano Diaries Volume 2! Those vocals just melt you like butter! Love it when she reaches into her toolbox and pulls out the full on Jazz! 💯🇳🇴🇺🇸 She continues to astonish her listeners!
