- Big Motoring World has snapped up two of rival Available Car's used car supermarkets as it targets a £1bn turnover next year.
Speaking exclusively to Car Dealer, boss Peter Waddell said he'd 'been quiet for a while' as he inked the deal with Available Car, and launched a handful of new ventures.

We bought a 2020 Kia Sportage model vehicle on March 10.
We bought the car using a loan, and a discount was made on the sale, which was reflected in the monthly installments as £15. A discount of 15X48 months, i.e. 720 pounds, was made. But later we realized that there was no discount and if we had accepted the first offer, we would have paid more than the market price for the car.
We bought their own product, Gard X (paint polish insurance), insure the vehicle. But at the end of the first week, we decided that this insurance was unnecessary and wanted to cancel it. But they said that this insurance was assigned to the vehicle, so they could not cancel it. However, they did not inform us about this before the sale of the vehicle.
Before the sale, we were told that the vehicle's 7-year warranty offered by Kia continued for another three years. But after the sale, we learned that since the vehicle had never been to the Kia service, this car was actually largely out of the scope of this warranty.
In addition to these problems, we saw that the company whose professionalism we initially trusted did not act professionally at all, and that the service provided quickly and professionally when purchasing the vehicle did not continue after the vehicle was sold. We had difficulty finding an interlocutor throughout the process, and we still have difficulty. Unfortunately, we have completed the sales transaction, which we could have abandoned if we had received accurate information about the Kia warranty and service status before the sale. We later learned that we were deceived and even tricked regarding the price offer. It was a very bad experience for us.

Never forget, had breakfast with him once some years ago. Absolutely unique character. Remarkable resilience and determination to succeed. Incredibly intimidating to be around to start with (“do you want to see my bank balance”), but once you settle him down and make him feel comfortable you see the raw passion and can have a great lengthy two-way convo.
Just had a look a what they had on offer on their website. Wouldn’t call it a bargain and the valuation on mine wasn’t great so still a high cost to change. They maybe a supermarket but my local corner shop is cheaper.

Be interesting to hear from him how his Wimbledon dealership managed to put GardX on a dirty car in 20 minutes when GardX say it should take 1 hour on a clean car. I was ripped off and no Gard X at all was put on my car.
