Funny how Alexstrasza just 5 expansions ago said now we enter the age of mortals. Like "yeah you guys had 10 years and you've jacked it all up, so yeah, gimme that back."
It's "THE" Age of Mortals now, however the Dragons are having a new Age "OF" Dragons - one following their previous status as divine-level protectors of the world. The Dragons still live in the world, of course they are going to play a role in it. After the end of the British Empire it's not as if the UK just sat back and did nothing ever again because "their age" was over. In fact you hear the phraseology "a new age" used all the time to denote a new start and new lease on life in a direction different to the old.
I mean in these 5 Expansions we had 2 Wars basically (In Pandaria and BFA) We caused Timetraveling Chaos with WoD, which had lead to the Legion Returning and we almost let the Forces of Death itself claim the Soul of the World. Soooooo.... can you be mad at her? :D
Glad I wasn't the only one only one frustrated by them putting a smash cut that spoils everything, in front of the trailer on their official channel. Like, what the hell? Especially on this one, which is designed with an unexpected rescue in it!
Its so when they run the trailer as an ad on RUclips there's something to keep people watching before the 5 second skip turns on. Its dumb, but thats why everyone does it.

Maybe the ones with the extreme weathering and missing pieces didn't die because of the missing pieces, maybe they're missing pieces because they died (ran out of whatever spark animated them), and then began to fall apart because they were missing that spark that held them together and animated them? Just a thought...
I think it was death wing and the cataclysm that destroyed most of the watchers. His emergence wrecked almost everything in the world. It’s feasible his entrance affected here as well.
I wondered if the others were victims of systematic deliberate destruction (possibly ritual?), given they were missing their faces, and our Tony was the last? Then I thought: who’d benefit if the Dragons stayed out of the game?

Honestly this feels like a breath of fresh air. I’m so over the “2Edgy4U”existential threat after existential threat that the last few xpacs have felt like. Feel like my brain’s been knocked around from it too much and I’m tired (sure I’m not the only one, too). Dragon!Mum Saves The Day after all that is just…glorious. Her roar is so triumphant. Feels like Mama’s Home after all the last few years of skullfuggery and it feels good. BTW Tali - love the outfit. A+ on the bow tie.
This is the vibe I got and why I love it so much. This makes it feel like we're returning to ancient Azeroth and I've always wanted that. I'm so excited for this and I think they set the mood well for where we need to be after the past few expacs.

"The world is healing"......oh except for the 500 mile long sword sticking out of Silithus lol. I got the impression the damage to them was a result of the Cataclysm caused by Deathwing, maybe they will touch on that in the expansion story.

For those on the left side of the Pond, I'd like to recommend the Famous Welsh Cookie Company. They make and ship traditional as well as fancy variations of welshcakes, as well as appearing at events such as South Florida's Scottish Festival when pandemic conditions permit. They are VERY GOOD, even if a maternal parent isn't making them for you.
It would be cool if the dracthyr could have a somewhat 'fully draconic' form for mount purposes, I understand logistically why they have to be humanoid for the most part but it would be cool if they had a flight or 'dragon riding' form reminiscent of an actual drake or dragon.

Thank you!! I got so happy when you got angry about them doing the smash cut. I was at work for the reveal so I watched the trailer later and saw Stony tony getting carried by the dragon so it ruined the best part of the cinematic, I knew he was going to get caught when he was falling. So pissed.
They probably went with re-animating only one stone guy because it makes it more dramatic. If there had been two guys climbing that tower & shoving the thing together, it's less likely that one would fall.

Blizzard pulled out the big guns by doing a dragon expansion and I'm mad that I like it cause I don't have the money for any of it lol. I look forward to your in depth take on the video and I'd love to see your take on the round table discussions Blizzard released. The amount of representation at each table for the discussion about the game was a breath of fresh air. Some people might see it as pandering I see it as change that's about damn time.

They were attacked when the dragon flight left on a mission to go and help with the sundering of Azeroth and they hid the dragon isles away. Evil struck that already exisisted on the dragon isles hidden away I think. The dragon flight don’t know anything’s wrong yet I don’t think.

The one most interesting part about this trailer is: There's no "bbeg" present as centre of the attention, but actually the theme is about rebuilding. That's new. That's different. Hope they stick to it.

I have to say that moment when Tony (stoneguy) was falling from the tower, got me tears. Thats one of the best moments in this cinematic. also when Alextraza saves him and u see her with kind of a Smile in her Dragon face :)
The similarities to MoP aren't just narrative (intentionally hidden in mists at the Sundering, covered in Titan architecture, etc), but also have a similar presence among the expansions as well. These two are the only expansions that haven't burdened themselves from the start with a clearly defined Big Bad for the final raid (even BFA did that, though the BBEG as presented from the onset was the other faction). My memories of Pandaria compared to other expansions we're much more focused on enjoying the moment, on the successes in each dungeon and raid for what they were intrinsically, instead of focusing on the future and how this or that boss kill would get me closer to killing the BBEG. It might be that we'll get that chance to live in the present more in DF, too.
About that Watcher with the damaged head, I guess they must have stone brains if that kills them, which makes sense because the Curse of Flesh version has a meat brain in there, wow humans don’t have their brains dispersed though out their whole bodies like jellyfish

As in “stone cold steve austin” 😂 also tyr or not lore or not the watcher in the cinematic uses his left hand to turn the big dial thingy and then its his left hand thats missing when hes sitting in the throne later. I think all those watchers are just like the stone golem dudes in ungoro etc.

I have to say that moment when Tony (stoneguy) was falling from the tower, got me tears. Thats one of the best moments in this cinematic. also when Alextraza saves him and u see her with kind of a Smile in her Dragon face :)

The similarities to MoP aren't just narrative (intentionally hidden in mists at the Sundering, covered in Titan architecture, etc), but also have a similar presence among the expansions as well. These two are the only expansions that haven't burdened themselves from the start with a clearly defined Big Bad for the final raid (even BFA did that, though the BBEG as presented from the onset was the other faction). My memories of Pandaria compared to other expansions we're much more focused on enjoying the moment, on the successes in each dungeon and raid for what they were intrinsically, instead of focusing on the future and how this or that boss kill would get me closer to killing the BBEG. It might be that we'll get that chance to live in the present more in DF, too.

About that Watcher with the damaged head, I guess they must have stone brains if that kills them, which makes sense because the Curse of Flesh version has a meat brain in there, wow humans don’t have their brains dispersed though out their whole bodies like jellyfish
