I feel like if you’re saying you won’t go on carnival anymore because of the rules you’re the exact person Carnival is trying to target with the new rules.
I was talking about this. If you’re not going to sail on Carnival because of the new rules then you probably won’t like it on the other cruise lines as well
I agree. In the past, people used to act right without all the rules. If the rules make people act right again, I'm all for it. And, if all the rules make certain people not go on Carnival Cruises, then I'm all for that too. One of the worst things that I have seen on a recent Carnival sailing is the lack of etiquette with respect to swimsuit cover-ups or shall I say lack of cover-ups. Parading through the ship in a completely see through cover is not what I want to see. This goes for all. My Carnival dislike list is just too long for this comment section.
We were on our first Carnival cruise last December on the Breeze. My 30 yr old daughter had insomnia one night and went to get a drink and go to the casino until she got tired. She got skeeved out by a few guys who were skulking around and following her. She called a member of our party to meet up with her because she was afraid to go to her cabin because she didn't want them knowing where it was. That had never happened on a cruise before. I told her if that happened again to alert the bartender to get some help.
If you are going to get raped and or mugged by some of the miscreants on the low class cruise ship make sure it happens before you get into international waters. That is the best advice I can give you other than to advise that Hilton's are nice and have real security in-house.
@@thomasallen6980 so you’re suggesting to get r*ped ‘prior’ to getting into international waters?? 😳 And how do you suggest a victim convey that to their perpetrator? Nicely ask them to hurry up? 🙄🙄 What a stupid comment. And please tell me that you didn’t refer to Carnival Cruise Lines as a ‘low class’ cruise line lmao. It’s one of the largest and most profitable. #GetFactsRight
same just happened to me on the Legend. I was later in the casino than I realized and one weird dude just would NOT stop talking to me. I was nervous about being followed.
We haven’t cruised in 5 years and the drugs were bad then. It was a major concern for us because people were smoking in their rooms and on the balcony’s which you aren’t supposed to do. We really loved carnival sailing but got tired of dealing with our room smelling like weed when we don’t smoke-anything!
I don't see an issue with Carnival enforcing policies that have always been the case on paper. (No illegal drugs, be respectful of others i.e. - no loud music/fighting/etc, expanding the 15 drink limit to all customers, etc...) They probably trusted their original customer base to not break the rules. The pandemic hit cruising hard and they are now casting a wider net with advertising, AND people are eager to make up for what they missed out on during the pandemic. So we have new inexperienced cruisers who see the lax enforcement of policy. This is a step in the right direction and cruise lines should have been doing this anyway.
I hope the 15 drink limit only counts for alcoholic beverages, and agreed 15 drinks a day is a lot. However, I drink water, juices, soda, etc., in addition to alcoholic beverages.
Been on several cruise lines and the kids run up and down the hallways on all of them while the parents are somewhere getting blasted. This is not limited to Carnival.
@@kamelhaj6850 Yep. I think some just like the feeling of superiority it gives them when they are snobbish. I think it only makes the snobs look bad, though.
If snob means class....that's ME. I've been on many cruise lines, and NEVER experienced ANY of the nonsense Carnival allows. Those rich ppl not having it.
I have only sailed Carnival since 2007. Never had a negative experience. Never saw aggressive behavior. There are those who have too much to drink, unfortunately. It seems this tragic "new" image has materialized post pandemic. But our society is a lot angrier and more aggressive about a lot of things since the pandemic. No excuses though for adults behaving badly on land or on sea.
I've never seen a fight neither. Only on RUclips because everyone pulls their phone out in this new culture. Things happen on all of these cruise lines unless you go on a cruise thats all older people.
I saw the most recent complaint that someone was upset with the violinist’s (who we’re playing rock music) in the atrium. They said Carnival should dump these dudes. It’s no wonder why people are choosing other lines. It’s sad they can’t appreciate a bit of culture. 😢
Yeah, the guy is a texan and demands that for every ship out of Galveston, the violinists should be fired and replaced with country bands. Just like a Texan to want the whole world to act like Texans.
@@classicsciencefictionhorro1665 I loved the violinists, I hated the woman who tried to sing country! I say TRIED, because I thought she was horrible, and not because she sang country! I love country, but not her singing! Not all Texans are like that guy, I know a lot of really nice Texans.
I love rock music. I can't and will not listen to country music. I also love to hear violin in rock music. Think Led Zeppelin! Oh and by the way, I'm a born and bred Texan.
Hi Jay, I went out of NOLA on the Valor for the Superbowl/Valentine's cruise. They definitely had sniffling dogs around, no big deal. However, they were not confiscating the speakers as we were told they would. 🔊 I love when you say, "What in the Carnival is going on here?" LoL Keep up the good work!! Thanks for all you do!! ❤️
I love cruising on the fun ships. Carnival is a good cruiseline that needs to adhere to the rules and people should comply or stay home. Most people are sticking to the rules, who are these folks who choose to cause ruckus and chaos on the friendly seas. I stick to myself and go to my cabin after a show and picking up a pizza slice or sandwich and filling up my soda cup! I like to have some time in my cabin to enjoy the quiet of the rest of the night instead of hanging out. That's a choice of folks who want to hang out late yet why get rowdy and cause a ruckus? smh I cruise to relax and rest and enjoy the sea days, some excursions not have to deal with folks being drunk and fighing or unruly behavior from adults or children. Cruising should be fun and relaxing too.
Carnival 100% needs to step up their marketing big time! With that being said it seems like since the pandemic the cool thing to do is to pick on Carnival.. Somebody like u who’s been on every major cruise line can give a fair assessment but alot of these vloggers/influencers never been on a carnival cruise and still talk down on them.. Social media is an gift and a curse
Their ships are already full. All additional marketing will do is drive up prices. Maybe attracting a higher end clientele with higher prices will solve their problems, but that just isn’t who Carnival is. That higher end clientele isn’t going to like Carnival’s ships. I think Carnival is doing the right thing and just staying who they are and just enforcing their rules more strictly.
@@boganpainter1638 I love carnival and won’t stop sailing them but they need to market their product better. They’re supposed to be the fun ship so have commercials of the Sail off parties and how the fun squad gets down. Them just saying they’re the fun ship with nothing to back it just leaves up to some ppl interpret that O we can do what we want!
If those looking to cause these problems on board feel that stopping them from doing so feels like "being babysat", then we don't need them on board in the first place. Good video, J!!
I've sailed Carnival 7 times & I've never seen a fight on any of those ship. I've sailed on RCCL Rhapsody of the Seas & saw a big brawl on that ship. Fights are on all the cruise ships, not just carnival.
Carnival, is suffering from decades of implying rules that have NO consequents. in the past, they have posted these rules for years but never enforced them. For instance, No Saving Of Lounge Chairs. Even if you reported blatant instances of saving chairs, there reply is "there is nothing they can do". I have been on over 40 Carnival cruises and witnessed their lacking's for many, many, years.
Carnival was the first cruise line I took. During dinner one night, a young intoxicated man stumbled through the dining room, grabbed an empty water pitcher and threw up in it. Needless to say it was the last time I went on a Carnival cruise.
You're right. I never cruised with carnival because I see certain things on social media. Most ppl I know would pick ncl or royal carribean over carnival .
The issue isn’t carnival, it’s an issue across everything. Take a look at the fights at Knotts and Disney parks and every other amusement park. Also, I’m sure the unlimited alcohol doesn’t help.
I have cruised on MSC (multiple times), NCL, Viking and Princess but never Carnival or RCL. I have encountered a few mildly annoying people on these cruises, but no one totally out of control. I have a theory about why that is. (1)I go to my cabin well before midnight and dream sweet dreams and (2) I don't get drunk. I wonder if following these two simple rules mighl eliminate nearly all unpleasant cruise passenger experiences for nearly all cruise ship passengers. What do you think?
The RUclipsrs kept people hyped for cruising through the pandemic and the cruise lines owe more to you guys than they realize. PS…Carnival used to have great ads, remember the ads featuring the song “bang the drum all day” by Todd Rundgren, those commercials made me want to cruise. Funderstruck was so lame!!! I called it FunderSUCK!
I agree 💯 present. I watch u, Tony, Don and Emma on an almost everyday basis. In today's day and age they need to look towards u content creators. But, yes I think carnival and flip stuff around. Just will take awhile. They also need to up the fine like u said. I cruise only carnival. I love the fun ships.
We have paid a lot for some of our cruises and have gotten low priced bargains….one thing that has been consistent is we are responsible adults who respect others around us….if others haven’t learned that already, not much rules can affect those that act inappropriately unless there are stern consequences such as banned from cruising for a year (then the responsible people can enjoy their vacations for that year) 🥰
I agree Carnival should have started fixing the problem a long time ago! However, those who say they will stop cruising with them if they are changing the rules could very well be part of the problem. I don't think that change will be an issue. The foolishness has to end! I'm okay with them cracking down, and if I ever start to feel that it interferes with my vacation, I will adjust accordingly. Also, I do feel they need to step it up with their marketing game.
Carnival had developed a family friendly environment in the mid aughts. The party drunks from the 1980s and 90s were now parents. Now those quests have been replaced by the new party drunks.
Carnival did what it could to fill ships and make money, but they didn't culture new cruisers to the "cruise life" and it got out of control. So Carnival brought new cruisers, things went bad, they didn't control it, and "good"and "loyal" cruisers didn't like the new direction things seemed to be going and they tried other cruise lines and were happy with the change. I was a Carnival cruiser, didn't like how things were going, now i cruise Royal Caribbean, and love it, and I don't see going back to Carnival. Love your content! Thank you for all you do!!! I don't think people realize how much time and effort goes into making a video.
Totally agree with your observations. I’ve seen it. As a teacher it seems like I’m the only one talking to kids about their behavior. Sad parents just don’t want to supervise their children. Yes Carnival is losing passengers left and right!
Part of Carnival's problem could probably be traced back to the offering of drink packages. Leads to a mindset "I'm paying $x per day for 15 drinks a day. I'm gonna drink 16 drinks a day "
Not a cruise industry issue. It is a government and ENTITLEMENT ISSUE. THERE IS A CERTAIN CLASS OF PEOPLE WHO REFUSE TO OBEY THE RULES BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEY ARE OWED SOMETHING.
Hey man, first I love your content and keep doing what you do. Now about Carnival, my first cruise was on Carnival Horizon and it was the best time I have ever had. Everyone was friendly and the energy was amazing 🤩. For the people saying they will never sail with Carnival because they're going to enforce the rules, well that says to me that you're probably part of the problem. I'm very happy about it. Also, there are rude and disrespectful people on ALL cruise lines, trust me I have seen it. You just don't hear about them. Hopefully Carnival can make this happen, and other cruise lines as well because the rudeness and being disrespectful does not end with Carnival.
I like to cruise quite a bit but if I can’t bring my weed I won’t be going no more. Before someone say something stupid like “we don’t wanna smell it “ , they find a way to cater to cigarette smoker and alcoholics.
Carnival…the name lends itself to “Carnies”. Compare to “ Oceana”. 25 yrs ago I went on a Carnival cruise. (Before the Internet) The place was overrun with young people running up and down the halls and falling down drunk. When I complained in writing NOTHING was done. Bottom line, this is an old, unregulated problem. Keep pounding the drum! You’re on the right track.
If Carnival has a problem that other cruise lines don't have, they need to look at themselves and say what are we doing wrong? You are right, it's a perception issue and that can be fixed with better marketing. As opposed to becoming the "cruise police"..
I think what’s going on is we’re all collectively witnessing the popping of the cruise industry bubble. It’s reached its peak. They can only inflate prices so much and cram so many people on a ship, without fights and decreases in numbers.
Just want to say I went on my first cruise on independence of the seas in october 2022 and I'm so glad I found your channel after because I feel so much more prepared for my next cruise on symphony of the seas this year
We're the same way, we did our first in March 2022. We were on Adventure of the Seas. I've watched this channel and Tony's, Don's, Life Well Cruised, and many others. I was ready for things and had a blast. We're going on the Allure of the Seas the first week of May and I can't wait!
We've sailed with the Vision, the Liberty, the Explorer, the Mariner, and will be on the Oasis in June! These channels (Jay, Tony, Don, Gary, Ellana) are Godsends for those who want to stay up to date with stuff happening in cruising!
@@CYCO1631 hell yeah they are. I never went on a cruise before but my wife found a great deal in 2021 so we booked it and I had the best time of my life and our 14 month old had a blast so I booked another on the symphony this time with the drink package
Nice look on you Jay; I remember this style from older videos. Actually I thought I was looking at an older video. You look like you haven’t aged at all!!! 😎
As a business Chief Officer I have to say that the point may be to lose those people to change the culture and bring in a new group of people or bring back people who have been alienated. I am not doing anything illegal or wrong so yes I will continue to cruise with them because I don’t fall in the group that have shifted the culture in a negative way.
Babysitting people who want to be on vacation? Or babysitting people who want to use illegal drugs, cause fights and disrupt other passengers? Wife and I sail with Royal. I'm sure stuff like this happens, but it's been (to my eyes) out of sight after 5 cruises with Royal.
I’ve never even looked at Carnival Cruises over the years we’ve been cruising because they have long had the reputation as a “party”, read “drunken” cruise line. The recent fights and problems on the ships have not changed my opinion at all. Granted, we aren’t partyers and are now older, but 20 years ago I still didn’t consider sailing on Carnival.
Yep, their reputation has never been great, ever. I always thought of them as the Walmart of cruising. I shop allot at Walmart, because I want my high end items for a cheaper price. But, there is a stereotypical Walmart Shopper. Just like their is a typical shopper that goes to Neiman Marcus or Tiffany’s. Not saying that it is 100% one way or the other but there is truth to it.
Jay, Word of mouth trumps advertising. If Carnival follows through, then they will lose some passengers. I suspect most will be the current troublemakers. If they stick to this policy, they will start to attract a better behaved passenger. Having an effective social media presence is crucial today for any business. Carnival needs to fix this asap IMO. Great video, Jay.
The issue is it’s time to be accountable for yourself. Seems within the last 6 months all the ships have had their share of ship fights/drug issues. We never have had any issues on Carnival. Maybe common sense isn’t so common anymore.
It's the short cheap cruises that bring the trouble makers! I appreciate Carnival stepping up!!! Those who are saying NO to CCL because of the "clean up" are welcome to try to find an affordable trip elsewhere.
My friend just put her disposable in her suitcase. They didn't confiscate it and we used it the whole trip. Our cruise was week after Superbowl. Just used it on smoking deck as if it were a regular vape and had no issues.
I see people on vlogs trying to hit the 15 limit drink package per day and that could add to the problem. I don't sail Carvinal for the very reason you mention in your video.
well add to that if a man drinks wants the package and his wife does not drink but forced to buy the package even though a non drinker then the man has two packaged to get through. Is it any wonder many are pissed out of their minds. The cruise lines own. stupid rule making all adults in a cabin buy the drink package.
@@lenvella9541 I complained to Carnival about that, when my roommate ordered the drinks package and I didn't want it. They took mine off, but then charged her extra! Hers was no alcohol. I don't drink it, either, but I mostly drink water or other free drinks on a cruise like lemonade or hit chocolate. I think they need to either get rid of the alcohol package, or make it a lower limit! They should also give them a certain limit of alcohol per day on their sign and sail cards, so that no matter where they go on the ship, they cannot buy more than their limit. I think it should be 3 drinks per day, imo.
Apparently there were people removed before we even left on our Nov 27 celebration trip. Was super nice to hang out a couple times. Great guy, great content
You can't fix something by doing nothing so makes sense they have to do something. I don't wanna be babysit but obviously they have to try within their means to curb repeat issues.
And as for John he’s just a front man who is in my opinion clueless as to what a front person should be.. he’s just a yes man who addresses the dumbest questions or complaints rather than the real issue/problem/questions ✌🏻
Great update and love you views on the whole thing. I have to agree with all that you said here. Great job of reading the room that is Carnival and offering up some good suggestions. This may hit them pretty hard in the pocket book for about 1 or 2 years then back to normal. Most people don't watch the stuff we all watch and would be totally oblivious to everything that has happened.
You ever been onboard during one of John’s FFS cruises? He seems to cater most personally to what seems to be a more seasoned (older) cruisers that make the most of a week onboard chasing the self proclaimed overweight English guy around the ship. Those that seemingly chase him to every meet and greet that he makes.
I wish we could use a plant and breathe it in in peace. I understand they’re following federal rules, I get they have rules themselves, it’s just a bit ridiculous in principle to tell other humans they can’t breathe in a plant yet they sell drink packages for people to get utterly hammered. I think In the future if it ever becomes federally legal they should only allow smellless options like edibles/vape pens/ things that don’t create a smell. They’re ofc not concerned with people drinking, so as long as people bring options that don’t smell which exist. No live plant allowed sounds fair Awesome vid tho
I just went on my 1st cruise on Celebrity Reflection and everyone I met were nice, polite and so enjoyable to be around. I did smell some pot smoking one night but it didn't bother me. I would rather be around a pot smoker than an alcoholic.
Weed smokers who smoke too much just going to sleep. Honestly isn’t that bad. Alcoholics have a tendency to get disorderly due to the nature of the substance.
Social media did make up my mind. "Influencer" sounds like a sales job. Your content was very useful in helping direct me to or from cruise lines. But if I'd felt you were "influencing" instead of giving good information, I'd be off! We need honest perspectives.
I don't really feel like ppl are being babied. It's just that Carnival is having to make sure to crack down because ppl are misbehaving worse and worse. It wasn't this bad before the pandemic but for some reason ppl got a little more crazy after all of that. I love Carnival Cruise Lines and definitely don't think other cruise lines will be taking them out since they do have a loyal fan base. I do agree they maybe do need to look a bit more at their marketing and see about improving it but I'm hoping with the fact that Carnival is cracking down now that we will be going back to a less crazy experience on the ships.
I have cruised Carnival for 20 years. Until the last few years, there has never been a problem with fights, etc. I personally witnessed one fight and it was a "family" of THUGS, who thought they could act like they do on the streets at home on the ship. In my opinion, security was fast to act, but didn't handle it the way they should have (I am retired law enforcement), the suspect should have been in "Carnival jail", not confined to their room. This is a recent problem and it will take time get the desired correction they want, but they will have to be strict. Don't blame the "vlogers" for what they report, especially if they are reporting the truth.
I think the amount of alcohol consumed is a major factor in the problem. I wish they would reduce the number of drinks served to a passenger. 15 alcohol drinks is way too many. I would recommend lowering limit to 10 or 12.
Well said Jay! I go to social media to find the best restaurants and brunches when I travel out of state. People do the same thing when cruising. And unfortunately when you look up Carnival there is a lot of videos not so favorable for them.
@solocruisingandmore I've cruised Carnival the most and yes I've smelt the funny cigarettes. It does not effect my cruise experience. I would never do it but I'm a rule follower pretty much. Carnival wants to appeal to cruisers that will cruise again and again and Carnival is family friendly. I cannot blame Carnival for making it public that they plan to enforce the rules that are already put in place. Love your channel!
To clap back at Ms Duffy & Mr heald..some of those fights made it to NETWORK news.. They need to not BITE THE HAND THAT HELPS FEED THEM!.. Yes, great ad campaigns really help define the environment they want to create..
I have sailed on almost 200 cruises on RCCL. I rarely even bother trying a different line because things are great where I am...however, am going on the Celebration in May with a bff who is a big Carnival cruiser. I expect it to be similar but one never knows unless you try. Are these problems just on the short cruises or are they happening on all?
@TheShiplife5227 this is NOT a weird topic. Your marketing viewers get it! 😂 I’d personally love for you to dive into topics more like this. Specifically, the power of the cruise ship lobby over Florida’s government. The fact they pay no taxes and significantly suppress and hide from the public their on- board crime rates 😬😬😆😆I know the industry would come after you for this tho! Lol
Last year in June we were in the Haven Area Aft Balcony room. In the hallway on the way to our room every time we passed certain rooms there was weed smoke strong. This would not be acceptable on other companies. This was a week long cruise it was there all week all times of the day...
I believe the poor behavior has a direct link to cost of the cruise. Royal is about 40% more expensive then carnival. I have cruised on both. Just my thoughts.
That's not it. Honestly I've sailed both and seen just as many obnoxious people on RCL than CCL. That being said it don't matter what race/gender or cash flow. Some people going do what they want with no respect to others. Ijs
Wasn’t for you and other RUclipsrs people would think Carnival has Zero issues, thanks to you people can watch and decide if they want to bring the family on a carnival ship or not.
We've been on many carnival cruises and never had any problems. In 10 years We've only seen one small scuffle, cussing and pushing, as soon as the pushing started security tacked both parties and took them away.
I was just on Carnival 2 weeks ago, for the Super Bowl cruise which was primarily all black people. The were NO FIGHTS or confusion, but there was a lot of weed smoking, and only a few dogs walking around, but it was not enforced! FIRST HERE ARE THE NEGATIVES. Ive never been on a cruise where we had to take our own luggage to our cabin, and safety rules were not enforced! The keys were taped to our door, EXTREMELY UNSAFE!! I felt as though Carnival slacked on the food and the times food was available, because it was an all black cruise. They also only ALLOWED 2 TO A ROOM, which was not fair! Carnival also should have warned families with children what type of Cruise this was going to be, cause it was not kid friendly, and by now after several years Carnival knows this!! The food on the Lido Deck at the buffet was gross, it was clearly leftovers. Ive been on Carnival before and at night they had more choices than just pizza available, which made the line extremely long after the club let out. A lot of bloggers/vloggers (like you) tend to purposely bash Carnival, giving them a bad name. Carnival IS NOT THE ONLY CRUISE IVE SMELLED WEED ON, AND THE FIRST FIGHT I SAW WAS ACTUALLY ON ROYAL!? Carnival is an affordable Cruise line that a family of 4 can go on without going broke, unlike Disney that is $8000 per family of 4, and their food is gross too. The ship alone was very nice, with up to date decor, and lots of activities. They just NEED TO stay consistent with fines and rules, CONSISTENT. I agree they could market Carnival a lot better, showing more fun, cause when it comes to FUN, hands down Carnival is way more fun than any other cruise liner.
I boarded the Freedom the day after the Superbowl. Just missed you. I liked the dog. Still smelled MJ on lido. There is fun to be had without being so drunk and high to the point that you are out of control.
Some of those that have been banned from Carnival for Mary Jane are beginning to maneuver their way to Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. They are posting videos explaining exactly that.
Do you think Carnival can fix the problems on their ships at this point?
Maybe. If people give a Hoover Dam & not just skirt the issue.
If they don't I will go back to traveling europe, and skip crusing.
Yes, if Carnival stay consistent and listen to their cruisers. I really believe Carnival and other cruise lines monitor cruise vlogs, such as yours for feedback. Nothing wrong with Carnival taking suggestions on reinforcing their new rules. Better late than never. Thanks for sharing 😎🛳🛳

She got skeeved out by a few guys who were skulking around and following her. She called a member of our party to meet up with her because she was afraid to go to her cabin because she didn't want them knowing where it was. That had never happened on a cruise before. I told her if that happened again to alert the bartender to get some help.
Women have crazy imaginations these days.. Always trying to be the victim
That should never happen. Were the police involved?
I hope they are serious about enforcing the rules!
Simple solution. More adult only ships. I do mean adults real adults know how to conduct themselves show class.
Problem is, when it happens on Carnival, all the haters come out in the comments. When it happens on other lines - "sound of crickets".
@@kamelhaj6850 Yep. I think some just like the feeling of superiority it gives them when they are snobbish. I think it only makes the snobs look bad, though.
Never experienced this on RC... maybe bc my cabin is higher up. I KNOW "smoking" is on lower fl.... so I moved UP, but not on RC.
We never had a bad experience when we sailed on Carnival either.
Been sailing Carnival since 1986 and I have never seen a fight aboard any ship I was on, however I have seen plenty online.
@@classicsciencefictionhorro1665 Maybe he should hire a private yacht w/ his own entertainment 😉
@@classicsciencefictionhorro1665 I loved the violinists, I hated the woman who tried to sing country! I say TRIED, because I thought she was horrible, and not because she sang country! I love country, but not her singing! Not all Texans are like that guy, I know a lot of really nice Texans.
They wanted cousin banging music instead.
Thank you for your candor. I used to resent the jacket-after-six requirement on Cunard. I'm rethinking that.
WHO?
@@boganpainter1638 Higher income does not necessarily equal good behavior.
@@Willworld. You have a good point!
If they enforce the rules, the problems should be minimized.
Thats the problem right there. Will they truly enforce this stuff? I dont think so.
Actually, enforcing the rule one time and putting it out there on social media will solve most of the problem. Funny how that works.
Just got off a carnival cruise today and yes , the chair saving is still rampant with no enforcement. Very frustrating!
Carnival was the first cruise line I took. During dinner one night, a young intoxicated man stumbled through the dining room, grabbed an empty water pitcher and threw up in it. Needless to say it was the last time I went on a Carnival cruise.
Oh please that can happen any where but I bet you won’t find one dog sniffing out alcoholics
Sounds logical. I agree.
Every time I saw that phrase, my mind kept seeing a derogatory term (starts with "cluster"). Didn't give me a good impression at all!

Love the new haircut with a twist. But yes I agree
Thanks!
Great info AGAIN…BTW your new do is really nice
Thanks!
Part of Carnival's problem could probably be traced back to the offering of drink packages. Leads to a mindset "I'm paying $x per day for 15 drinks a day. I'm gonna drink 16 drinks a day "
I have been thinking the same thing!
I agree.
I just got off the celebration last week. They are hitting those 15 daily.
It’s a cruise industry problem. There was strong Weed smell across in the cabin hallways on Harmony. Multiple floors
Not a cruise industry issue. It is a government and ENTITLEMENT ISSUE. THERE IS A CERTAIN CLASS OF PEOPLE WHO REFUSE TO OBEY THE RULES BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEY ARE OWED SOMETHING.
@@kimmy722 Yep!
Well said!!!
I think they SHOULD police the behavior of some passengers!

I’ve been on 4 Carnival cruises; have never seen a fight, loud speakers or any other ‘riff-raff’. Love Carnival 😊
I have always cruised on Carnival. I don't drink, smoke, or get into fights. I have never witnessed unruly behavior on any of my cruises.
This was actually a really interesting topic to cover that was pretty different than other videos.
Jay,
Word of mouth trumps advertising.
I am a better behaved passenger who hopes that Carnival is serious about enforcing the rules!
Yep! I say they can go elsewhere, if they want to misbehave!
Went on Carnival Fascination a few years ago didn’t have an issue…. Cruising with them on Elation March 2nd hopefully it’s not too “ghetto”

Thanks J for this message. I'm glad to see you addressing these issues. Nice new haircut 💇♂️
You can't fix something by doing nothing so makes sense they have to do something. I don't wanna be babysit but obviously they have to try within their means to curb repeat issues.
They will still do nothing just want to make it appear that they are doing something, but nothing will change with them.
Thanks for the information and your honest reviews. By the way, your hair looks great! 🙂
Just got off the Mardi Gras, and the experience literally left my wife and I questioning whether we wanna cruise carnival anymore
What happened?
Oh no. I'm so sorry.
No live plant allowed sounds fair
Awesome vid tho
This stuff goes on everywhere. I have never had any problem people on any of my cruises. Since 2009
I just went on my 1st cruise on Celebrity Reflection and everyone I met were nice, polite and so enjoyable to be around.
@Nicky L Yep! I also cannot stand the smell of weed!
@Nicky L I agree!

I've cruised Carnival the most and yes I've smelt the funny cigarettes.

I believe the poor behavior has a direct link to cost of the cruise. Royal is about 40% more expensive then carnival. I have cruised on both. Just my thoughts.
It is 100% a factor in the equation but messaging and preventative messages in the beginning could still help to avoid what’s taking place now

MSC tapping into Galveston market will be interesting.
You make perfect sense.
I boarded the Freedom the day after the Superbowl. Just missed you. I liked the dog. Still smelled MJ on lido. There is fun to be had without being so drunk and high to the point that you are out of control.
I only cruised Carnival pre pandemic. However I am a mom now and with Carnivals new reputation we are cruising Royal Caribbean in the future.
