    I made your recipe and absolutely love it.
    A few things I changed were
    1. Different butter.
    2. Added smoked paprika and chili powder
    3. Only cooked it for 20 ish min.
    I found that my oven runs hot, and the pieces were a bit TOO crispy for my liking.
    Thank you so much for posting this 🙌

    I like your voice-over video. Plus today I learned low-sodium seasoning salt was a thing

    hello! went to your website to get recipe .. in the upper portion oven temp says 350 degrees, but in the "print this recipe" it says "Place sheet pans in a COLD oven, then turn the oven on to 250˚" which do you recommend ? 350 or 250 ? Thank you for the recipe, can't wait to make this

      If you read the comments you can see people have lots of opinions! Ha!! I use 350*! I just made some a few nights ago, and this is my method. Bake at 350* for 10 minutes, remove and turn the mix, place back in the oven and turn the oven down to 325, bake for 10 minutes. Remove and flip again, baking an additional 10 minutes. I do this “remove, flip, bake” over and over until it’s crisp! It usually takes 3-4 times. Just watch to make sure the mix isn’t getting too browned! Enjoy!!

    My father would use a small mist spray bottle for a top coating.

    Does this taste similar to the Bold and savory Chex Party Mix?

    • @sweetpealifestyle
      @sweetpealifestyle  2 года назад +1

      It's pretty similar! With a hint of sweetness from the maple seasoning!

      They’re Rye chips! I buy mine on Amazon, but some grocery stores carry just a bag of those.

    Other recipes say 250 and stir every 15 minutes for one hour.

    Are you calling this brine because it’s so salty? If you have a microwave melt your butter and then once everything is mixed put in microwave for 2 minutes and stir 3 times for a total of 6 minutes. Putting it in the oven and changing the temp is unnecessary!

    • @sweetpealifestyle
      @sweetpealifestyle  2 года назад

      Yes! The brine is the butter + Worcestershire + spice mixture! I've seen people make it in the microwave, but I don't have one!

    You should use the appropriate terminology. You are not making a brine. A brine is basically salted water. Look it up.

    The mix looks great, but if you're doing cooking videos, you might think about cleaning your stovetop around the burners! Sorry, but it looks kind of nasty.

    • @TheJemstar28

      You're nasty!

    • @moronials
      @moronials Год назад +7

      Well it would look "nasty" to someone who rents and doesn't own a real stove like this woman and a male who probably microwaves more than cooks with his boyfriend. Real men don't use the word nasty even if they see a mess.

    Well… since I’m an introvert, this may not be a bad thing to serve. If I put this out for my guests, most would never come back! 😉😂 Maybe it’s a regional thing?
