He looks like he has gotten in better shape since college and kind of expected to improve as he literally got better every single year he's played basketball.l
If he can shoot an occasional one yes, if he lives out there, the defense will say "thank you". If he shoots more than 2 per game on average, the percentage better be 40+.
I'm a huge Grizz fan and think Edey is gonna be great for us, but as far as him being an in-game three point threat goes? I'll believe it when I see it. The vast majority of NBA players can consistently make threes in an empty practice gym.
Hedge hard and switch, play on the side of shifty shooters until you hear 'SWITCH", give up elbow jumpers all day with JJJ in the paint. Cherry pick often if they're gonna spam PnR threes. Get comfortable with the Dirk trailing three when he can't keep up with the rest of the team running, even 30% would be deadly. If the shot isn't there, hand off to Ja and roll. In half court offense, there are maybe a handful of guys in the league physically capable of slowing his post game anywhere near consistently. Not takeover the league dominant but unstoppable with the right play calls
Smart draft pick. At his size and awareness, his floor is just really, really low. Very good chance of ROY. If he's healthy the Grizzlies are going to win a chitload of games this season.
Ya shooting in practice is different but he has good form and hits FTs at a high clip…he won’t be a primary 3 point shooter but will be good enough to pull players like gobert a bit out of the paint
If he's playing with people that understand basketball he's going to be a problem. See basketball is a big men's game if his teammates understand that he will flourish.
@@luckychukwuma3822 your the type that likes to see people fail because your afraid to chase your dreams! Your limitations is not someone else's. Btw those guys were not two times NCAA player of the year.
@@016wqx08 you just displayed ur ignorance and limitation as a human being. There are so many players in the grizzlies and in his draft class, so Why would I hate on him? Why would I want Edey to fail? I don’t even know him. The point I made about edey is based on facts. Those archetype of players, 7’3, 7’4 , 7’5, 7’6 are hadly successful in the nba. They easily go out the league bcos they became unplayable. In the last ten years name one player of that towering height that have had a very good nba career. Just name one. The only exception is wemby, though he’s just starting nba career but he’s a generational Talent, meaning it’s something that comes once in a life time. Think bro

If he’s shooting threes that’s going to make him a matchup nightmare

2:08 8yrs in the league closing in on 10 and people still pronounce it zubak hahaha😂
If anyone’s wondering it’s pronounced Zubahts

Would not call that a jumper,
Form looks a bit like Bird set shot….just the form
stretch 5 than can pass and play d and score when needed u can’t teach that size and mobility i think he will be fine he ready to prove his doubters
jokic esq
no perimeter shot no handles no latteral. Shooting practice is different from actual games.
Can play defense inside and will rely mainly on lobs
That’s literally cap
You’re just speculating so we ain’t taking your word for it chief lol
