- Entering Switzerland during the last week of September after riding in France for 4 weeks (check the series on the channel) came with some surprises. Is it turning out to be an unexpected epic day or is it just plain stupid to ride straight into the bad weather? Having goosebumps due to the weather AND the views, I was happy to make it to a (very) warm hotel room at the end of this long day...

oI rode those passo's august 2019. I started riding up from Aosta. I was lucky because the weather was warm. Great St. Bernhart is one of the best motorbike twistie roads in Alps.
I remembered many corners and places where you rode. I felt that I'm riding with you. As you said those places impact so deeply that you don't forget them.
Another great trip shared with your viewers. Thanks. One of these years you should try out the west coast of Norway all the way up to Northcape. You will love it.

Wonderfull to see the cols with snow by bike. We do ha é rapid temperature changes, similar conditions this weekend with 20 at low level and blue skies, snow this morning and -1. Still my bi,é came out of winter storage this week and I’ve already been sun burnt. Looking forward to seeing where else you go and which other cafés and petrol stations we have both visited
Beste Leonoor, je hebt alweer een parel afgeleverd. Wat mij trof is je herkenbare beschrijving van je gevoel toen je boven vrijwel alleen op de berg stond in slecht weer. Je nietig voelen, maar tegelijkertijd euforisch door de ongelooflijke mooie natuur- en bergwereld die je omringt. Zo een geweldige solo-rit in de Alpen. Er is niets mooiers. Bedankt voor deze prachtige aflevering.
Dank je wel Karel, het is ook echt bijna niet te omvatten wat het met je doet en het voelt even alsof er niets om je heen bestaat. Nietig maar euforisch inderdaad. Bedankt voor het kijken!

It was warm surprisingly fast after the Bernard pass, but later that day it was -1 again on the Nufenen, so a chilly day!

Haha yeah those summer gloves did their job with the heated grips, but at one point I was extremely happy to switch to slightly warmer ones 🙌

I am very pleased that you are showing the Nufenen in such detail. I mean, for me it was a pass that's not so obvious the first time round - after my first trip from the wonderful Goms up to the lake, I just had a question mark on my forehead. Could be because I was in a hurry - and wanted to get up the Tremola *g*
I gave myself a second chance in the summer of 2023. Two days diving in. And yes - THEN the Nufenen spoke to me and I was able to write a worthy portrait of it.
-4 degrees on St Bernard and snow ... wow ... THOSE are the greatest experiences on such high passes. I enjoyed travelling with you - but in the warm ;-)

It is great to see your footage and it’s awesome for me to see how you are enjoying it. Now it’s more than 40 years back that I did some of my military service up in these mountains, above Airolo. Today I’m retired, and I enjoy cruising over these passes on my old Thunderbird.

My husband and I just shipped our bikes from USA to Germany. We fly in on May 5. Just found your channel when researching the Swiss and Italian Alps. It’s got us very excited about our European motorcycle adventure.

No this was back in Sept. Which Alps are you visiting? In Switzerland most of the passes will be closed till at least early June
None of the major passes just main roads so should be ok , any excuse to get away from the uk and I love Geneva , thanks

Hallo Leonoor, dank voor al je mooie plaatjes. Alleen maar meer zin gekregen om dit jaar ook de Pyreneeën en Alpen te beklimmen en af te dalen en alles wat daar tussen ligt. Zie dat je, en terecht, de Desert X vol hebt hangen met Mosko Moto. Herken het meeste ook daarvan behalve de Aux Pox die je aan je crashbar hebt hangen. Is dat de 4 of 5 liter versie? En hoe heb je het daaraan bevestigd? Alvast bedankt en fijne kilometers dit jaar.

Hello, it's really none of my business but my wife and I watch a lot of travel videos and it seems to me that the most successful channels not only show the scenery but a little about the meals they have, and maybe some eclectic little shops in the area, or some facts about the area. Making my living as a photographer for 20 years I can tell you that you have to present more than just what you see through the viewfinder to make an impression.
