- This is an HO Scale Sky Lift that runs in the middle of my Carnival Display. When I was a kid a carnival played our city and they brought in a portable Sky Lift (Chair Lift) that ran down the midway. This Lift is app. 7' long. I built two HO trailers that act as the passanger loading points, the turn around points for the lift and the trailers that haul the Lift. There are five gantries (towers) on the course for the Sky Lift to travel along.
Amazing setup....wow
Awesome! Just getting started building a carnival for the grand kids. Lot's of great ideas.
Excellent job.
Thank you! Sorry for just now responding.
That's amazing Lynn.
Thank you John!
I wouldve loved that as a kid.
Patrick Farrell Thank you!!!
I love the Watkins Tempest model!
Thank you!
The 2 rides, the first in the background at 0:58 by the ferris wheel that goes upside down and the second at 1:16 in front of the booth called the Scrambler, are those kits or scratchbuilt?
That's A Lot of Speakers
Those are MP3 players with small speakers sitting in different spots on the display. Each one is playing a different track. There are five.
I see in this video there is the Hrubetz Meteor, Tip Top, and Round Up, Wisdom Sizzler and Chance Zipper
There's no carnival without the yo-yo I wish I could find one that comes in multiple colors with pink purple red orange green and yellow
Hi , is that el chasing wire on he wheel at the end of the sky lift?
RIch
Sorry for just responding. Yes it is. It’s a kit you can purchase from Faller made for the Jupiter Wheel also made by Faller.
I know this isn't the appropriate video but I have been looking all over the Web trying to find the exact model of the sky wheel but the ones I've seen look nothing like it. most are on flats which takes away from the greatness of it
Where I buy this
Where or how to buy?
Where did you find the Chair Lift?
I made it using a Brawa Chair Lift kit & modified it.
@@skywheel52 I'll have to try and find one. Second question: How in the world did you get the Comet Coaster to work? I've tried all summer to get mine to work, can't get it to go over first hill. You wouldn't be interested in finishing this for me - name your price!
Terry Diamond I used a small amount of furniture polish (Indust) on a small clean lent free cloth. Then applied it to the track, even the inside of the track against the curve to help with the friction as the cars make the curve. I then went back over the track to make sure it’s clean & slick. I also screwed down the base to my table. But only in a couple of places to aid with it being level. I found that the base that came with the coaster could be slightly bowed when you completely erect the model. I discovered this by applying hand pressure to the front & back of the model.
Do u make them ?
I make some of the models. Some are kits, some are scratch built, some are custom built.
