- Here is how you remove the stock Cayman headers so that you can install your aftermarket Soul Performance Headers!
Sorry about the corrupt clips! I have no idea why some were bad and other clips were good. But in all honesty, its an easy job, and if you've made it this far in the exhausts removal you'll be okay!

Easy job when the bolts don’t snap off completely different sorry when the bolts snap and your left screwed. You then need a special extraction jig to drill and remove them. It makes it an expensive job that many should be informed about. Not blaming you for not doing this as yours came off and the bolts looks fine. Mine a covered in surface rust and the rear exhaust had to have to bolts burned off.
had to drill out two of my bolts as well, if replacing the cat / header use the old header as a guide to drill the bolt out true! One has a helicoil in it but it worked.

Very helpful! I am wondering if I can just remove the O2 sensor while the headers are still in place? May I leave the O2 sensors hanging there and install it on the new header?
Did you have any problems removing the bolts? At least in the UK the bolts on 987/986/997 are notorious for breaking, then turning into a 10hr job. So most avoid doing anything with the headers unless anything actually goes wrong first, and then replace bolts with a titanium version.
Great job though, like the videos. Would be interested if you are going to do Polyflex bushes, maybe upgrade brake master cylinder to GT3 and S/S brake lines?
I had 8 of the 12 header bolts snap off! It nearly made the car a write off. People need to know this as it's a huge job to drill them out and there is no way of getting any lubricant to them prior to removal...some seem to come out OK others just snap right off and then you're in a whole world of hurt.

Nice video. Was wondering why you had to disconnect the O2 sensor cables from the firewall. Can’t you just unscrew the O2 sensors from the cats? Thanks!
Not without twisting the wire up like crazy. I just found it easier to disconnect

the video was poor content that is why i didn't clicked a like but i also didn't clicked a not like cause i know it wasn't your fault you always till this time did a great job, couple of questions, did you disconnect the battery cables ? the socket you used to uninstall the headers was a 13mm? looking forward to see the installation of the exhaust system.
G V yeah, the clips of the tools needed, close ups of the electrical connections and some other detailed shots were all corrupt 👎 I believe the header bolts were 13mm
