Thank you so much for really breaking this down at a true beginner level! A lot of piano “tutorials” of popular songs on RUclips are just GarageBand style play alongs, which seem overwhelming if you’re truly new to playing piano. Seeing the exact finger placement is key, and the pattern breakdown was so helpful. I’d 100% watch any other Taylor Swift piano tutorials done like this if you ever do any more!

Don’t forget to pause and practice each hand. I was confused with left hand, but you play right hand: (C) E F C E G (A) E F C E G (G) E F C E G (G) E hope this helps as the video went fast for me
Really good tutorial! However, on the first pattern for the right hand, the notes are a bit off. Instead of E, F, C, E, G, E, it should be E, F, G, C, E, G. Just something I noticed when trying to play along with the actual song. Hope this helps!
You can actually play it either way! 😊 Some sheet music has it written out with the E and some leave it out. Personally I think it makes it easier to add in the E because that way you don’t have to count how long to hold the G, you can just play with the beat!
