i'm a 5 year tech. having a route at this job is key to make decent money. your tips are all legit. its all about communication with the customers. i dont do 5-7 appointments ever and rarely do 4-6. i have dogs i keep crated so my managers knows my situation. i will say since rentokil took over they share holders are becoming way more important than the workers. this summer was the first time we were all getting 18-19 jobs a day. usually it was around 15 with maybe an extra or initial. not anymore.
If it's cool, would you tell me how Terminix treat homes for termites? On the bill, I know they use Termidor SC (and also deltamethrin) , so I know the chem they use is good, but I also --from the bill -- learn that they only just do spray treatment (1 gal). Majority of videos I see were doing the trenching method and even trenching + pressure injection. Does sprays suffice as a treatment? How still effective the treatment is after rain (even with the knowledge that the treatment is water insoluble) because if it was done by trenched method, I know the chem is buried there and still active. My parents are employing terminix for inspections + seasonal treatment, and it's not I don't trust the technicians, I'm still kind of shook after finding a massive termite damage near my dorm so that was a huge mental damage. Just want a bit of peace of mind so I don't have to go home to do my own inspections around the foundation frequently. Live in South East btw.
Hello, I work for a pest control company called "Cesco" in Korea. Rentokil took over Terminix, so the company name of Terminix disappears? or did Rentokil only take over while keeping Terminix's trade name? haha so interesting
i'm a tech at terminix. we are commission so i start early and get home early. i finish my days route i go home. i never do 5-7s.....ever. 2-4 is my last appointment slots.
@@lewisx7281 i like it. i grossed 70k last year running a route with some pig lead sales sprinkled in. most pest control companies around here pay by the hour, and most get 35-40k a year i would not do it if it was hourly. so yes. if you can get a route, and be paid commission i would try terminix.
Don't skip steps people have in their contracts - don't try to rush through and do a poor job - please just do the job you will want done for you one day.
Tip #1 - skip part of the treatment on every other service to get out of there faster. Considering that I'd be paying the full amount for every service thanks for letting me know that's how you roll.
I don't know about you bro but I don't like over applying pesticide in any form it's just not good practice if there is still dust don't replace it if you sprayed last week the chemical barrier will still be there no need to over apply and build up more pesticide in the environment

They didn't take over. They merged
Hi this is Robert hershberger
If we started early they’d just give us more work they don’t let us end early must be nice
Very true! That’s why I made sure I checked out “late” so that wouldn’t happen.

Can you do a video on how terminx pays their technicians
That’s kinda easy, they don’t lol.
Depends on your state
At my commercial branch theirs special services techs who are paid hourly and route guys who are paid production.
Is it better to have production pay or hourly?
I get paid hourly + production + commission
I just started with Terminix
How is it cause I’m starting in 2 weeks
@@chanyafreeman5031 well are you still with them? statistically chances are you quit by now which should tell you something lol

If you listen closely, I mention that the dust can last up to 6 months if you dust them correctly.
If the dust is still there,no need to put any more ,dust lasts a long time
