Independence Day Highlights 2023 @ Silver Oaks Visakhapatnam

We are thrilled to share the incredible highlights of our Independence Day celebrations, a truly inspiring and momentous event that showcased the unity, diversity, and values that make our nation remarkable.
The morning began with a heartwarming flag-hoisting ceremony by none other than Prof. Nalini Bikkina, Director of the GITAM School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her address to the students resonated deeply as she delved into the significance of the iconic "Tryst with Destiny" speech and highlighted how we've embraced the dreams of our brave freedom fighters, evolving into a vibrant, progressive nation.
The celebrations continued with an enchanting presentation of the cultures of various Indian states, all orchestrated by our incredible students. This unique initiative truly captured the essence of our diverse yet harmonious nation. Adding a remarkable twist to the celebrations, our school's 24 buses became ambassadors of Indian states. Each bus represented a state, and students from each bus passionately shared the rich history, culture, and significance of their chosen state. These presentations were hosted by the pilots and co-pilots of the buses, who were elected by their fellow students as part of the IB Student Agency - Voice and Choice initiative.
The Independence Day celebrations at Silver Oaks hold immense educational value. Through these activities, our students have achieved
