Fantastic video. Cheers buddy

Great Video Super Helpful. QUESTION- Can you clarify if it is (necessary) to replace the Valve Cover bolts at all? Seems there is a lot of info on Mini blogs suggesting that (they should "always" be replaced). But i haven't seen any videos yet where folks are actually replacing them (except when they really rusted). Mine are in good visual appearance. I appreciate you feedback.
FrankCity City on some models the bolts are made of aluminum and they require replacement if it’s steel you can reuse them.
@@HowtoAutomotive Awesome "Thank you" so much for clarifying". That was super helpful. Wish some of the info on this specific subject (particularly) on Mini blogs, was as clear as you laid it out. Much appreciated.
Do I need to use sealant on the valve cover?
My rocker cover bolts seem very rusted, do I risk snapping the bolts when undoing them? Will get new ones
Thank you I need to do that on my 2000 mini
Hey Brian Im trying to find your Torque wrench I cant find one with 9ft-lb, what brand is it? thanks
Manue Ramirez The one in the video is a snap on. But I believe GearWrench has one that goes down that low.
stupid question...do i need to drain the oil first? and if not, should i change the oil before or after changing the gasket? ty
You don’t need to drain the oil. But it is a good idea to change the world afterwards.
@@HowtoAutomotive i would change the world too bro
thank you help out alot
How to find the engine number in this R50
Thanks,
Are theses cars cvt transmission
I've had this lid on for so long that the sealing rings on the lid can't even be touched with a hammer.
I got them off using pliers. The metal is pretty weak so it bends right off.
Could you give me the specs of the torque wrench please?
