Homelander, the one part of the show I really like. He’s a total monster with no redeeming qualities, but on the other hand because of Butcher’s actions and the pressure from the public he’s slowly unraveling into an even more terrifying monster. At least before he had individuals around him that could “keep him in check”, but now with those flimsy supports gone to hold him up. He’s going to fall and when he does, he’s going to be crushing a lot of people.
@@collinharris4848 well he had no parent to learn morals from. and we know who's his dad. mommy issues is correct in that context. killing people is caused by the void inside him. he even developed alter-ego that fills his parent role.

Yeah, something's gonna take us all out in the near future. If it's not nuclear war, AI, aliens, climate change or a new virus might as well be Homelander.
Oh, dear, i saw part of this scene a few days ago, the part with HL standing in the mirror. He's cracking. He feels he can do whatever he wants, and maybe that's true... But not without consequences. This is getting complicated. One of the base premises to the show is 'no physical confrontation with a superhero'. Normal humans can't take them in a fight. This trial, win or lose, will bring us closer to an over physical confrontation. Season three showed yhst HL isnt nearly as invincible (physically) as he was made out to be. SB, Hughie, and Billy hurt him, Maeve hurt him, HL isn't invincible. It might go down like it did in the comics, with the Army, tanks and all, bgunning him and Ryan down. Because the season did show their weapons can hurt him, contrary to character statements.
So since this isn't the official The Boys channel on RUclips I have to say the comment sections of those videos are absolute gold standard on how a fanbase can get together and play along Even if it is a marketing ploy it's very genius to include the audience in it. You know what would make this show complete...? is if Homelander has some kind of moral shift where he ends up putting others above himself or become remorseful in some way. But because Hollywood is so nihilistic you that that would never happen.
He slipped up and killed 1 person in front of everyone, remember that scene where he imagined lazering an entire crowd? Bet they wouldn't love him for that lol.
For some reasons watching Homelander always reminds me of Tom Cruise, the way of how he laughs, the intensity, and even when he says "It's all for you, you guys are the hero." it's almost like this character was inspired by Cruise. Having said that, I still very much enjoy Cruise's movies.
@@randomgamer625 I mostly mean with the clear indications of his mental state withering, and from an artistic standpoint with the usage of him talking to himself in the mirror, specifically with the scene last season where the version in the mirror is having a full conversation with the version outside the mirror. By no means am I saying it's one to one, I just see some similarities that I think are neat
I support the Homelander. He could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and he wouldn't lose any voters, OK?! He could keep boxes of Top Secret Government documents in his bathroom on the 99th floor of Vought Tower, because he has already de-classified them with his mind (that's his hidden superpower). Homelander has lots of supporters, big, strong guys, they come up to him, with tears in their eyes and they say. "Sir, no one makes America as great as you!".

I love Homelander character as he brings in that element Y to the series, but I think we've been pressing too much on the '' Psychopath Superman that do whatever he wants '' for 3 season. It feels like it boiled to the point that now something needs to happen with him or else it will get boring to see another Season 5, 6 or 7 of I am Homelander I can do Whatever the F I want.
yeah they are going to have to advance the plot here. season 3 didn't really advance the plot, it was mostly filler. still fun to watch but i wont do this for another season
Sooner or later his real persona will be revealed to the world and they will turn on him. And that is what would make him his most dangerous. He could cause an extinction level event with his powers if he wanted. So in a way it's in the boys best interest to protect his secret as long as he is alive. The only thing stopping him from total destruction is his need to be adored. If that is gone then he will likely try to wipe out humanity. And there isn't really anyone who could stop him if he truly cuts loose.

0:45 Me speaking myself in front of mirror for practicing my Speaking English Skill, xD
This is my favorite show of all time it isn’t close. I’ve so ready for this
Mines too!
When is season 4 coming
Damn, he kills it as this character. Very convincing psychopath.
Socjopath
he's not psycho at all. he has mommy issues.
@@blandon93 murdering innocent people for fun ah yes mommy issues. not psycho for sure
@@collinharris4848 well he had no parent to learn morals from. and we know who's his dad. mommy issues is correct in that context. killing people is caused by the void inside him. he even developed alter-ego that fills his parent role.
@@blandon93 every psychopath has problems in their childhood that's why they're psychopaths
Nothing but respect for Antony Starr. Playing a psychopath can’t be easy but the guy makes homelander really seem like an unstable psychopath without going full crazy.
At this point in our history, I feel like Homelander is the super hero we all deserve.
He's the bad guy. Not a superhero. You sound like the dumb citizens who dick rode homelander in the show.
Yeah, something's gonna take us all out in the near future. If it's not nuclear war, AI, aliens, climate change or a new virus might as well be Homelander.
And we do have our own real life version of Homelander.
@@28th_St_Air we really dont. Both Trump and Biden are parasites compared to homelander.
@@28th_St_Air nahhhhh bruh
So since this isn't the official The Boys channel on RUclips
I have to say the comment sections of those videos are absolute gold standard on how a fanbase can get together and play along
Even if it is a marketing ploy it's very genius to include the audience in it.
For context, go to any comment section from the official channels for The Boys and Vought
I don't think it's a planned out marketing ploy, I think people are just doing it by themselves because it's funny
@@greatsword6365 how do you explain then that they have exclusive scenes with actors? Deepfake?
@@DajesOfficial We were talking about comments, and comment sections
i'm here for it. a commentsection filled with funny witty sarcasm. and without being hurtful to annyone. love to play the game along and indeed perfect marketing, but if it's good its good :)
It's even more impressive when you consider that the entire scene was actually improvised. The director caught Anthony talking to himself and just started filming.

Homelander is my 2nd best villain of all time behind The Joker. Can’t wait for S4
The boys are back in town, and they'll be carnage along the way. I can't wait for season 4 to drop, this long awaited anticipation is killing me. Let's go already and get this show rolling. 🤗
I’m the homelander
I’m the homelander

I’m the homelander

"I'am The Boys"
I'm Homelander!
I'm Homelander!
I'm Homelander Mr.Edgar!!!!
I'm Homelander!!!
I don't know if Mr. Starr has ever seen Profesional Wrestling....We love villains!!!
Homelander would be a prolific wrestling superstar!!!!!
You know... I never thought about it, but yeah. That persona would win big, Jesus. It's like if the Rock were also a psycho.
You know what would make this show complete...? is if Homelander has some kind of moral shift where he ends up putting others above himself or become remorseful in some way. But because Hollywood is so nihilistic you that that would never happen.
I remember seeing Antony Starr on Banshee years ago and I thought he was a decent actor back then but now he's taken it to a whole new level
He slipped up and killed 1 person in front of everyone, remember that scene where he imagined lazering an entire crowd? Bet they wouldn't love him for that lol.
Homelander is seriously my favourite above any character in any universe ever created.. Just pure genius!
I agree. Maybe one of the greatest characters in the history of television.
Homelander strikes genuine fear in my soul every time he's on screen. No other television presence has had me more scared.
lame

You're a baby grow up
For some reasons watching Homelander always reminds me of Tom Cruise, the way of how he laughs, the intensity, and even when he says "It's all for you, you guys are the hero." it's almost like this character was inspired by Cruise. Having said that, I still very much enjoy Cruise's movies.
No good sentence has ever started with “we have complete faith in the American legal system”
Man, Anthony Starr plays Homelander so well that I feel fear through the screen
Antony
Thank god Homelander was there to safe his son. Good that he was proactive in preventing any further harm.
I like how between this and last season they're treating homelander like Raimi's green goblin and I'm all here for it
I mean Raimi’s green goblin was alternate personality so I don’t see the similarities
Anthony Starr is absolutely exceptional in this role. Incredible.
Every actor self-taping at home.
Give this Guy a Oscar !!!!!!!!!!!! His Acting is unreal should be be allowed
They Boys is the only Superhero related thing I am looking forward too 😅
Been waiting for this for ages 😁
Love this show Anthony Starr is a 💎 starting at 0:41 Homelander is in a battle with the impression that he is trying to make and his actual nature.
ASHLEY! LOOK AT ME! 🕺
I doubt that US is going to survive if average americans become mediocre humorists uncapable of sounding reasoning.
@@zepafra the word is "incapable". The correct syntax is "sound reasoning" or " sounding reasonable". If you are going to insult someone, SPELLCHECK!@!!!@
That's so funny, almost sounds like something Biden would do.
@@J.D.Visioneal big brain comment here. Especially when you know who this quote is actually from.
At least homelander did while he was the CEO of Vought, not like that other guy, he was just one the 7
antony starr is an amazing actor, and honestly i think homelander might be one of the scariest villains i've seen in decades (aside from thanos), his scenes actually make me physically uncomfortable. i fucking love this show so much its so good, it takes super heroes and almost make them into real people with how fucked up their lives are; it makes it so relatable really and i love that
they killed thanos twice just for the lol's
Such great actors - everyone plays their role amazingly well and with ease. Love the writing.
Step 1: Self motivation
Step 2: Pander to the crowd
Step 3: Forget step 2

Ashley's hair looks amazing!
Isn't it just a wig?

She's really pulled it off...😂
That ruthless stare into the void, Mr. Anthony Starr has done an amazing job as the homelander
This trailer gave me chills
*The man is a genius actor, he creeps me every time!*
I'm the big guy. I'm the big guy? I'M THE BIG GUY. AND I CAN DO WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT. Come on man.
Anthony is so good at this role that he has literally halted his own career over it. I don't think I can ever take him seriously over this role again. But I'm positive he'd surprise us when he does
"I'm the Homelander" is now the new drinking game 😂😂
I legit believe in homelander 🤧 ..
In what way?
Fuck HomeLan- i mean i love Homelander
Really man.....
Homelander can "really" play Antony Star "really" well....
Homelander is "really" a great actor and everyone loves him😅
At this point... The Boys feels like a reality show rather than a sci-fi show
Sunny is this you?
He was the same way in Banshee show lmao
That actress has Ashley's character down to the tiniest micro-expression.
I’ve been dying for this trailer bring this show back already 🤬
Okay so we're getting Season 4 teasers officially then? But what about Gen V? That spin-off that was announced and teased this year, but hasn't gotten ANY kind of release date yet.
I’m sure in this world he would have qualified immunity.
I've been waiting too long for this. Amazing show. Amazing cast. Starr is exceptional
1:53 "I'm Homelander, and I can do whatever the FFFFFFFUCK I want"

Those lasers spewed put of Homelander's eyes like tears. A natural reaction to seeing such hurtful actions towards his son
I wanna watch the whole season right now!!🤩
Come on! Let there be Tek Knight, superdupers and fantasticos in season 4! Even Gen V the versions of the X-men!

@@cameronhodgetts920 You're right, he should have just lasered his hands or something.
@@OliverRedit or, and call me crazy here, no lasers
@alexandercastrejon541that comment concerns m. You would laser someone just for throwing something at your kid? Listen to yourself and rethink what you just said. I mean punch him? Absolutely but to kill someone?
Fun fact: they just hid a camera in Antony Starr's dressing room before filming the first episode.
Homelander role was made for Antony Starr. I feeled chills after he starts changing his tones.
give him an Oscar that was amazing
All Homelander ever wanted was our love.
great actor
Homelander smashed my car, big day at work I see, truely a symbol of America love you homelander
I love him
Love how they just gave Anthony his costume and just filmed him as he was getting ready in the morning
@@ChestRockwell24 But that's what literally happens in the end of season 3 and people actually get to like his figure more, they do get divided by yeah, they are basically ok with a Superman that will kill if he finds necessary.
