☀️ Welcome to another exciting spearfishing journey on this sunny Sunday morning! Today, I'm embarking on a quick session at a new spot, eager to explore its underwater. With spring temperatures rising, it's possibly my last chance to encounter winter preys. The gentle waves create a slight murkiness, potentially aiding my hunt.
🔱 As I swiftly gear up, I ensure I'm equipped to ambush the rocky, shallow terrain comfortably. Starting with short, shallow dives to warm up, I'm greeted by stunning seabed rock formations and bustling schools of small fish. Venturing into deeper waters, I navigate through vibrant seagrass meadows, on the lookout for potential prey.
🐟 Despite a missed opportunity with a red mullet, I press on, utilizing natural cover from rocks and seagrass in subsequent ambushes. Persistence pays off as I successfully land a sea bass with a precise shot, setting the stage for a series of amazing catches.
🎯 Between dives, I spot a hidden octopus beneath a rock and seize the opportunity to capture it. Continuing my pursuit, I encounter two sizable grey mullets and secure one with a precise shot. As I move to deeper waters, I maintain my ambush strategy amidst the seagrass meadows, though a couple of missed shots prove frustrating.
🐙 Despite the setbacks, my determination remains unwavering. Spotting another large octopus, I take careful aim and deliver a decisive stone shot to secure the impressive catch. With a giant octopus now added to my haul, I head back to shore and clean the fish on the spot.
