i thought i was watching a 500k tech youtuber, great tutorial
Is that Linus ?

Mine arrived today and I'm loving it. Love membrane keyboards as they're so quiet. The build quality is really solid and is much heavier than my old Logitech keyboard. The cable can also be routed downwards so you can drill a hole in your desk and completely hide the cable. Was waiting for the V2 to get the media keys.
@Jar is the kraken x a good headset?

@@y.ujisan its good but try the Razer BlackShark V2's as well, theyre also really good
i do have a question tho, i dont know how to use it XD
oh nvm we need to use the software
this is my first video im watching from you, 10 seconds in, saw the intro and knew i had to subscribe!
Saw this on the razer site and figured I would look it up on RUclips cause I was surprised to see a $50 keyboard with RGB
@Obi wan Kenobi NOOOOOOO I bought THIS THINKING IT WAS MECHANICAL!!!
@@discordo206 Mechanical really doesn't make a difference... it's still gonna work the same since it's built for gaming
@@discordo206 it genuinely mimics mechanical very nicely, although it's not fooling anyone, it's membrane. To say it feels bad would be lying. It feels great
@@kyleroa727 IT does, If your a typer like me. Membrane isnt for me type fast.
@@discordo206 me too but i still like it and for now i dont need a mechanical bcs i live with my parents

i was going to watch the whole vid but thx😅
I love the silence of membrane keyboards to be honest. I've had very nice Cherry MX Blue and Red keyboards--mechanical just isn't for me. This keyboard is silent, affordable, has great RGB, and is low profile. I game with this keyboard just fine (Final Fantasy XIV and Overwatch)
@@hirakaiko5570 get Apex 3 it’s bettee
honestly this is a great review and helped me make my desicison by clarifying critical points.
Finally a good review
Oh I read your subscriber count and I thought it was 13.1 million
You deserve that
13.6 millions colors rgb
I'
ve been wanting a mechanical keyboard because of the response time but every one that I've ordered I had to return because of how far the keys stick out, I felt like I was extending my fingers/hands to reach my usually keys. Once I saw this video and saw the low profile, I loved it. I just hope the response time will be good on this one, we'll see.
I've been using my das keyboard for 12 years now, I still love it and would recommend it for anyone
This keyboard isn't mechanical tho. I've had a razer blackwidow for several years now, which has the full size mechanical keys and its just something you can get used to.
I just got this and my space bar rattles but not as much as yours feels like a more expensive keyboard than it is tbh
first time i watch a full youtube review video!
Also, i have a razer cynosa v2 for like 1 year now and it’s amazing, nothing bad to say about it!
Well, how do you like the keyboard?
Does it still work like the first day? Do you still use it?
Just bought one, sadly only found out too late that the lighting completely relies on the Razer software. My old ALDI mech keyboard (cheaper than razer), would let you adjust the lighting onboard, with no software. Even worse, the Razer has no "memory". If you program the lighting on one PC, you need to re-program it on another PC - and you need admin rights to install the damn software on each PC. This is annoying as I bought the keyboard for my work PC which is locked down. Without the software, the keyboard can't even keep a solid colour - it just slowly cycles through all. Again, this was never an issue with my ALDI keyboard...
Sir, you are underrated!
Helpful video! Keep up the amazing work look forward to more incredible videos 💜😊
Finally, a review!
Kaido has subscribed.
I bought it after watching your review. My spacebar isnt loose at all so it seems like they changed it. Keyboard look a bit cheap at first glance (and very average) but feels VERY solid during use, like keyboards in a much higher price range.
How has it been 1 year later? I'm wondering if I should get it but I'll be spending long hours working on it so I'm wondering how comfortable is it for work and general use?
@@Roossi03 No issues besides paint on keys wearing off. I have been using it extensively for this 1 year and everyhing runs as new. About comfort, I cant really point at something that would make that keyboard uncomfortable for someone. After 1 year it still runs smoothly.
@@Alen725 great thank you for the reply!
Your underrated, good review
This review was so helpful, that I'm using it now to write this comment! But can I know the name of the song in the very beginning please!?!?!?!
The quality of this video is absolutely amazing :o
Great Review, Got Mine 2 days ago Going Amazing But My Enter Key is squeaky but it doesn't bother me as much when I'm gaming with a headset
Yh same but its my space bar but it doesn't matter as u said when ur wearing a headset
@@philipheavey22 You can take the key out and put it back in and it won't squeak anymore.
Thanks for the review bro
Yeah
4:32 I just got an Razer Cynosa V2 for chrismass and my spacebar doesn't move like it does for you. Maybe something wetn wrong during shipping?
there are different versions of it.
Its hard to tell in the video for sure, I can tell its quieter, but how much so? I have the Razer Ornata V2. Its really good, but super loud. And I have been trying to find a quiet, but good keyboard for gaming.
Considering purchasing this keyboard, and because it is Black Friday currently, it now only costs around 40 dollars where I live. My biggest problem with this keyboard is the key switches. I don't care if the keyboard makes a lot of noise, I just need it to feel clicky. Currently, I have a keyboard which I absolutely love, and it feels so good to type AND play games on. My problems with it is that
1: It is very large and takes a huge amount of space on my table
And 2: I spilt soda over parts of it, so some buttons are really sticky, but most of them are keys I don't use as much. 7 and 8 feel the most sticky.
I wish I got to try typing or mashing keys on this keyboard (The Razer Cynosa V2) so I actually could feel wether I like it or not, because I don't think it would fit me, but I have heard great things about it anyway
i actually prefer the cynosa key stroke sound over the ornata. sounds quieter and gets the job done.
Congratulations and gratitude for an outstanding review.
People can fanboy mechanical all they want I'm a night gamer and I need a silent keyboard more silent than mx silent switches
Good thorough review. I recently had one of these and I returned it because I didnt like how the colors bled together under the keys, and also the rbg was a bit bright and distracting personally, and the text on the keycaps was small and didnt light up well. ended up going with the logitech g910
You can customize it in razer synapse
A front path for the cable would be cool
hey man, if you get some nice studio lights, you should be able to get some great colour grading/correction. your shots would look grear
Great job. I have this keyboard and it works great for me.
How is it for general use and typing? I'm wondering if I should get it but I don't know how comfortable it is to work on for hours. And how has it been after 2 years?
Oh shoot it’s Hawk from Cobra Kai 😂😂
Not even close
There can be only one colour? Not many light colours same time ??????
Excellent video! Very informative. Also, I can't wait for the next Spider-Man movie!
Thx mate now imma buy it
bro nice keyboard
Excellent review, thank you
It is a mecha membrane keyboard! Wal-Mart sells an Onn mechanical gaming keyboard with blue switches for only $49! It is a better keyboard with better customization options.
Is there a way to change the colors without using razer synapse
is there a way to keep my body clean without shower?
Is their a way to not be thirsty without drinking?
Should I buy this or the Chroma? What are the differences? Are there more buttons on the V2? (the top right corner)
man where can I Buy that shirt?, so dope
nice vid btw
my man you nailed it!
I've already ordered this one, but now I'm confused... Should I go for Asus tuf gaming k3.
Just bought it today
DUDE! 60$?? i bought mine for 80!
Wow its 50 CAD on the amazon store rn
Dude there is nothing wrong with build quality, it is abs plastic. You are just nitpicking for the sake of it. Good video though.
GOOD WORK ON THE VIDEO pHIL!!
Great review, very helpful :)
I have the original and I have a question should I upgrade or keep mine
i would upgrade but not to another membrane i would go to a mechanical keyboard like the huntsman, or if on a budget the ornata.
MissingBear ok thank you
MissingBear I just looked it up and I’m going to have to save up a lot I might get it after I might get my monitor on Christmas
I have a disgusting Cynosa lite (it's not that bad) so I'm getting the v2
I had an ornata before my cynosa chroma, and wow did I make the wrong decision. I highly recommend the ornata, doesn't even have to be the v2, it's just so much better than any membrane keyboard.
My only issues is it being membrane witch makes me not want to buy it and the media keys witch I like the volume keys but I prefer everything else from the Otoma v2 media keys since they are keycaps now if only the Media keys including the volume keys were keycaps
EDIT: This will be my first razer keyboard since I am looking for a cheap keyboard for my new PC and want a razer keyboard for there rbg and app
Thank you
My space bar wasn't rattling so it might have been the one you bought
none have mentioned it but I bought this keyboard and I feel like the keys are way too short and I miss press keys while playing games a lot because of that, it's' the most annoying thing, I hate it.
Good keyboard- I have it, but I hate the Space Bar
I can't get into the software to control the settings. I've done a complete download 3 times. It won't do anything after I get the email to confirm my email, it just sits there. No reason for it to take that long when I'm running 12 gigs of RAM. I find the whole thing confusing. I'm not a gamer. I just want a keyboard that lights up and I can control those light settings. None of the control buttons or "macro" buttons do anything. I'm on the verge of taking it back to the store.
Can I use RGB without the software running? I don't mind using software to configure patterns, but would prefer not to run it all the time.
they both sort of sound a bit sketchy to me, so cheap though
This might sound kind of weird, but I’m just buying this for the stickers : D
Shall i buy a branded razer cynosa memebrane or a redgear mechanical which is better for the long run?
Do the keys rub off easy because i have a keyboard that i have had since christmas and the d and w has worn off
"only $30 more"© for a $50 keyb is more than half of the price :) Thanks for the review!
Is this keyboard mechanical?
Would I be able to use the full size Razer ergonomic wrist rest with this?
for me my keyboard stopped working after like 2-3 days, i tried typing something and the lights were going but it wouldnt work, i unplugged it and replugged it and it still didnt work, i tried a couple other things like unplug it and hold esc + ctrl + spacebar all those things, but it still wont work
my cynosa v2 works but some keys don't, I'm going crazy
Is this membrane a keyboard?
Great review. Just got mine yesterday. My only complaint was the space bar rattle, but it’s not that big of an issue. I’ve played Rogue Company on it for about 5 hours now and have no complaints. Keys feel great. All keys have worked perfectly. Definitely a great budget gaming keyboard. The key lights are vibrant, no dull or partially lit keys like some other keyboards. Media keys are plus for me too, especially when streaming.
nice tysm
Hi, may i know are the keys making squeaky sound after using for so many months for you?
@@jinzuha I've only been using it for like a month but so far, so good
@@noone101 Great, thanks for the reply!
@@noone101 how have they been after 2 years?
Mine stopped working after about a year
Can you change the Colours of the led lights without installing synapse? I hold down FN but only 4 keys light up no numbers like I’ve seen on other razer keyboard videos
how do I copy and paste things without using ctrl v or ctrl c
I bought used one for 50 bucks on amazon and it came broken 💀💀
how long is the key life?
"low profile" and its 3x thicker than my last keyboard :D
Do you know how to turn on the LED indicators
Good video bro. Greeting from Perú
does it work for playstation ?
The background music is both unnecessary and irritating. I don't know why so many people have that in their videos
How do you change the rgb manually
can you take off the keycaps
Can this plug in your console
Yes but im not sure if you can have the app for the keys light changings
What website can you use to change color
Question!! can you change the keycaps/ are most keycaps compatible?? i wanna put my custom ones and pudding ones on it :(
hi, anyone can help me on check this keyboard using method LEFT SHIFT + RIGHT SHIFT + QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG, and tell me does all the words appear?
tia
is it compatible for mac
does anyone know how to chnage the colors on it?
you need to download the razer synapse software
Can this one synced in aurora creator? I want to sync the lights..
4:31 I got it today and my keyboard doesn't do that. It might just be yours.
Well my spacebar makes this kind of squeaky sound when i press it and its so annoying, do you now how to fix it by any chance?
3 months after using this keyboard, the whole keycaps are rattle now & it’s easy to caught dirt it, rgb & app still work great. The sound are louder overtime & the typing feel are getting worst overtime too. I think it’s overprice for 50$ membrane keyboard & it’s extremely low quality for what you pay for. I just bought the Leopold Fc750r, it might be double the price but the typing are great. If you guys are on a budget then I recommend other brand like Corsair rather than razer.
Can you take the keycaps off?

@@needlewing thanks man
@@bedtime5am half a year ago lmao, nw :) ive had the cynosa for a while now and i’m happy with mine
@@needlewing is it still good?
@@iliketurtles2187 yes, absolutely zero faults with mine after HEAVILY using it for nearly a year
imo one of the best membrane keyboards available, and if you’re looking for a gaming keyboard that isn’t too expensive this one is perfect with high-end features like NKRO, programmable macros for any keys and individual key RGB lighting if you’re into that.
sorry lmfao, i probably sound like i’m being sponsored by razer to say that but that’s how happy i am with mine
also yes, i cleaned it multiple times myself and i’ve pulled off keycaps without any problems
*HELP- i just got the new keyboard for mac... and im having problems for the synapse software to detect the keyboard... it detects my mouse but not the keyboard any advice on this...
iylia azri garewal
Unfortunately my dude, synapse 3 is only available for Windows. Razer doesn’t really have any plans to implement it to the Mac since the demand is very low.
Elyssa Jillene Arroyo
Sad how razer stays silent about this :/ if only they mentioned zero Mac support more explicitly and not on a FAQ on their website I would’ve not bought the keyboard...
@@AleyCheco true coz when i was at the shop it was sooo cool when the staff said i can customize my keyboard...
Lol mac...
It's 2020. Time to change to Windows. Leave failed Apple products behind.
