  • This paint finish was my favourite pot transformation! By layering colours I created an aged terracotta paint finish. I mixed some of the Plan Jane paint colours to create some gorgeous earthy tones. If you haven't seen part 1 of my pots project do have a look because in that tutorial I show you how I created the gorgeous textured look using Plain Jane Texture Medium. We then build on that in this tutorial by adding layers of gorgeous earthy chalk paint colours.
    These pots will a beautiful touch of authentic character to your home decor.

    Personally, my favorite part of the jug is the rim and inside where your hand sort of flattened and muddied the colors. To me that looked more like true old, worn earthenware whereas the outside looked more intentional and not naturally worn. Still, it is a gorgeous job and I will be looking for a pot to try this on.

    What type of paint do you use? Is it craft paint, wall paint, latex?

    Se puede utilizar bicarbinato de Soda para darle textura a las pinturas y hacerlas.mas pesadas?

    And what was the top coat before the wax?

      It was a water based Matt polyurethane varnish 😊
