The band sounds fantastic and the choreography is wonderful. Very energetic and original. Even the marching is perfectly in time, so you must have practiced a lot. At my 'high school' people were already having children and doing drugs and only showed up to classes half of the time. Something with this level of effort and skill would be impossible. Most of us didn't put this much effort into our exams, nevermind extracurricular activities! I wish you success in your competitions & lots of fun along the way. Enjoy your youth and look after each other!! ❤📯🎌
Hello from America! I was in marching band in high school and college many years ago so I know how much hard work and practice it takes to get good at marching and playing. But I don't know if I could ever have gotten good at swing dancing while playing! You all are so talented and entertaining, and your hard work and joy really shines. **One** woodwind hits a bum note at 5:37. And I only point this out because I hope people realise how mind-blowing this performance is. Getting brass and woodwind to sound in tune in a live outdoor performance is a challenge outside a professional ensemble. To have scores of high-schoolers achieve this level of melodic and rhythmic perfection _as well as_ all the perfectly synchronised movement is almost unbelievable. I can only imagine the countless hours of practice involved. Well done Tachibana school. Something to be truly proud of.
And if it's japan study 18 hours a day. No sleep. No rest, one day weekends you also study over, amd like maybe a few weeks a year of vacation lol. East Asian work culture is intense as f*******k

2:14 Can't Take My Eyes Off You. I never would've expected to see this played at a Japanese high school concert. Easily one of my favorite songs, and they even managed to capture it similarly to my favorite arrangement of it, the Boys Town Gang version. Fantastic band performance!
Not that surprising, the Japanese like a lot of Western music. Beethoven's 9th has been popular in Japan and associated with New Year's since WW1 when a bunch of captured German POWs were performing it. In general the Japanese have been fans of German culture since the Meiji era when they started basing a lot of their political ideas and military reforms off of the Prussian model.

I've seen the Tachibana band at a previous Rose Parade! They have incredible skill, and make it look easy and fun. It's such a joyful feeling to watch.

Excellent in two areas where marching bands often struggle: balance among the sections and intonation. "Sing, Sing, Sing" is especially fun, particularly the low brass work and period choreography. Well done!
I haven't seen a video from this band in a few years, but I'm glad to see them still being themselves. I hope they come back to the US and perform in the Rose Bowl Parade and Macy's Day Parades again. My favorite year was when they had a girl with a prosthetic leg performing. You'd never know she had a prosthetic if it weren't for the video they made about her story. She had to be able to perform all the same movements without help and she did that and more. It was amazing. Also love to see gents doing their thing. I know music is still looked upon as something ladies do, but music is music and it should be looked at as something everyone can do and love the same. Much love from America.

I played trumpets in school. I was very good at it sitting down but moving in a formation like this, I sound terrible because its VERY hard. Nice job girls, a very good performance
