For your audience, it's like the discovery of a sunken treasure brought to the surface & opened up, such that the pearls of extraordinary creativity are revealed & marveled at under the glistening sun. ☀️ Thank you for making our world of musical artistry a better place, Sir Michael!
Mike is simply the best out there for people wanting to learn beatles tunes correctly - Much love from a scouser sat here with his casino loving your lessons
Luv the video at the end. Such enthusiasm with a knowing, self deprecating irony. Great work all round. Thanks for clearing up the mystery of Paul 'playing slide on the solo'. Never realised it was actually a hybrid of traditional fingered bends and a slide.
Yet another off the charts Beatles lesson Mike! Hard to beat the musical genius of the Fab Four! Thanks & I hope that you are doing well & staying safe over there! 👏👏👍👍🎸🎸🎤🎤👏👏👍👍
Great job Mike....LMAO on the description of '...baby, you can drive my car'.....I am now having my guitar instructor teach me bass guitar...he is giving me a 'short bass' for 'free'. Now I can do lead/rhythm and in a pinch, bass guitar......hmm, next drums ???. Mike, many thanks for all the great videos as I have learned soooo much about the Beatles from your introductions into the songs they made.👍👍👍👍
Mr. P you never cease to amaze me with your history knowledge of the Fab four including your guitar lessons. I have learned so much from you just want to thank you again.
Bradford - Glad I can be of some help - Thanks for noticing - I appreciate that and yeah - it takes the better part of an entire week to do one lesson.
Another amazing video showing us the inspiration and intricacy behind the song, which when you break it down is really more simple than it sounds. Thank you.
Great! I have always played the guitar part starting with open D string, pull down on third fret /g on second, d pull down, d open, e (6th) on third and so on. I love it this way, but I think yours is the real way. I'll keep playing Like I used to- that's my version, but I love that you show us so many great things.
Great. Sadly I'm not a musician and I can't play guitar for toffee, but I always enjoy the open and inclusive way you take us through each song. You've opened my ears to the Beatles musicianship enormously through your own excellent musicianship.
Another brilliant video lesson! I was just blasting this tune on the radio yesterday and then remembered, "Hey Mike said he was working on a lesson on this! I can hardly wait!" I sure did not have to wait long! Thank you sir!
Another one of your great dives into one of my favorite Beatles songs, Mike. I've listened to it 1,000's of times but never picked up on the slide use! Kudos!
great video ! it always amazes me how two years before this the Beatles were playing She Loves You yeah yeah yeah and then BOOM ! Rubber Soul comes out and something entirely new has been created .
Whenever anyone talks about someone "will soon break the Beatles record for #1 singles" just remember how many album tracks the Beatles never released as singles that would easily have gone to #1, and the fact that they're comparing a 7-year career to acts spanning 30-40 years.
@@docsavage8640 The Beats released 5 albums in 1964 and 4 in 1965! You're right, a band with longevity today might release 8 albums in 40 years, if they can manage to last that long.
Always loved this song, such a fun one to jam on but I never actually knew there was a slide on the original so that was cool to learn as well. Still waiting on a video for Hey Bulldog or If I Fell, great video as always Mike and keep 'em up
Hey Mike. Fun fact. My Dad wrote Beep Beep. Donny Claps ..I always wondered when I heard that , being a huge Beatles fan …if that part of that song was a “wink wink say no more “ to The Playmates. My pops told me a funny story. . When they where touring England. They saw girls running around outside a theatre. And he asked the driver what’s going on. He said it’s this new band the Beatles. My dad thought “ huh” that’s a lot of crazy girls. Can I ask. Where you got this priceless piece of info and thank you so much You made my day and also my 91 year old mom
Steve - Cool! "Beep Beep" was one on my favorite tunes when I was a kid - yeah, I'm THAT old. and FYI - ANYTHING you want to know about the Beatles is available with a GOOGLE search. Give my best to your mom!
Hi Steve, I must have driven everyone nuts as I went around singing that song as a youngster. I could never quite decide if it was a Dash Traveller or a Rash Traveller but now with the aid of google I find it's a Nash Traveller. Better late than never, I guess it wasn't that clear on the old vinyl anyway. Thanks for the story, nice to think it may have inspired the Beatles.
Great job! I especially like how you reverse all of the Paul parts to make it look left-handed. What's amazing to me about this song is that there's no rhythm guitar! I play this on acoustic... D7, G7, D7, G7, A7#5, Bm, G7, Bm, G7, Bm, E, A, D, G..... etc. Until seeing you play it, it never occurred to me that there's no rhythm guitar in it! Well done, Mike!
I'd say one of my favorites songs, but over use that and I love them all. Georges riffs are just great! Thanks for laying them out . And Paul's lead may be 'simple to you , but it will certainly take me a while to get it. I do think they were are their best during these years creativity wise and Rubber Soul has to be one of my favorite albums! Funny how the albums and songs were all mixed between UK and US.
please do "I Me Mine" next, such a cool waltzy song with the spanish riff too.. omg i love that song. thank you for everything you do Mike your channel is amazing!
Hi Mike! Love your Videos. I have been learning a lot of the early days of The Beatles, and since the release of the amazing Get Back documentary, i've wanted to learn som the guitar parts of the Let it Be Album. Particuraly, One after 909 and I've got a Feeling. Keep rockin!!

Mike I've thought for years that Hendrix was influenced by the Beatles in parts of Purple Haze. Similar opening lick as you pointed out. Plus the "Hendrix" chord was used in Taxman a few months before PH was recorded. Finally the solo uses the same kind of scale Paul uses in Taxman. Great video
Hello Mike, Your opinion please. For an old beginner, Is the Hofner Ignition Series Violin Bass any good? $399.99. I know the real mc Coy cost is $2899.99. Thanks much.
MrMarty - always know that tone comes mainly from the fingers. A guitar is a tool. Put in the proper hands it's magic. I just about always buy the least expensive model. On eBay or REVERB and used.

jebusgod - Very kind of you to say - thanks!
Fantastic .. Norwegian Wood played in my head the second you finished!
on Rubber soul that song was next , on "Yesterday and Today", it was "I'm only Sleeping"!
Your enthusiasm for the Beatles is so much fun. Great detailed lessons too 🎸

Reversing the image on the guitar solo too, a nice touch.
Joe - Glad you noticed and yeah - I intend to do that on all of Paul's great guitar work. I should've been doing that on early videos too.
