The OG Young Hercules. His Peter Hale in Teen Wolf is the breakout character where he brought that Tom Hiddleston quality to his performance. I remember when he also portrayed young Wyatt Earp in the Kevin Costner film "Wyatt Earp" with Gene Hackman portraying Wyatt Earp's dad. It's kind of cool to see Taylor Sheridan working with the same actors as they play different roles in various different tv shows and one example is James Jordan who has appeared in most of Taylor Sheridan's shows from Mayor of Kingstown to 1883 to Yellowstone to Landman and he is yet to make an appearance in 1923.
For me usually same actors aren't issue in different films. However when it's supposed to be in the same universe like all Sheridan's shows, something in my brain just takes a note of it. It's not big deal, even less if the appearances have decades between them timeline wise. But even Stargate had several actors playing different characters.
Off-topic perhaps, but I never thought I'd get the chance. So I'd like to grab this opportunity to tell you how much I enjoyed BSG2k3 back in the day, and to thank you (and by extension, the rest of the team) for being a part of it. The writing, the acting... You all did a superb job, and together with some other fine shows of the era, elevated serialised TV content to a whole new level that paved the way for many great shows to come.
Hey Katee, off topic. I watched your movie "Tell". You are a very good comedic actress. You broke my heart. The last scene where all your dreams nearly came true but you agreed to give them up to make your son happy. Your putting on a brave face to make it easier on your ex-husband. There were underlying expressions behind your smile and your eyes. That was some very talented acting. Im 61 and you choked me up. I will definitely watch that movie again.
I think Ian Bohen said that he didn't want to spend six months in New Zealand filming the series. Ryan Gosling did guest star in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys playing an antagonist which I remember in the season 5 episode "The Academy". The spin-off Young Hercules airing 50 half hour episodes back in the day on Fox Kids TV was so good. That show and the parent shows Hercules the Legendary Journeys and Xena: The Warrior Princess were integral for the start of the whole Lord of the Rings film franchise as a lot of the crew that worked on those kiwi production shows went on to work on the LOTRs film series. Through Young Hercules they founded the whole ILM company in New Zealand and Dean Gorman who portrayed young Iolaus in Young Hercules appeared in the prequel Lord of the Rings films.
After the interview, you are Mary Tyler Moore and he is Ed Asner. From the Mary Tyler Moore Show. Except you are more "earthy". Showing my age .And I hope that I live long enough to see you back in Longmire with it's great cast. I watched every episode.
The Betwixt the Sheets podcast has an episode on the history of the c-word that you need to look listen to. It covers early usage up to current usage including stats from the Oxford dictionary done every year on how and by whom the word is being used. It’s the on RUclips.
Twin Peaks is good/weird, but I tried to rewatch it a while ago, and it is very, very slow. I really liked Peter Hale in Teen Wolf. - LOLs, you have the same b'day as Julian Lennon, i have the same b'day as John Lennon. - LOLs, I remember seeing in the making of doco on the DVD release of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, that they wanted to film in the cool bit of LA, but the low budget meant their studio was in the middle of where the porn studios were, so occassionally they'd get someone knocking looking for the studio that ended up beinf next door & the crew members when they told folks which part of LA they were working, people assumed they were working on porn. - LMFAO! Being a gay male sci-fi fan & australian (so we use c8nt as a term of endearment most of the time, particularly between gay men, addressed in one of your prev videos), I adore that you loved that letter. And yes, gay sci-fi fans love you (loved your annecdote about early on as Starbuck). We love strong female characters played by down to earth, funny actresses. I think, in addition, your intro on the Battlestar DVD "I'm the new Starbuck ... (pause) ... "Get over it" pretty much made us all love you on the spot. Funnily enough, what you were describing about being embraced very early on when everyone else hated Starbuck, is very similar to Kylie Minogues career very on (she's often said, without the gays she wouldn't have had a career). See You Next Tuesday LOLs
