Hi Alex. Could you do a video on your nutrition on training days. Do you guys still use gels, bars, and energy drinks on training rides. Also if a pro rider is over there desired weight what part of the daily nutrition is adapted to help weight loss? Normal meals or during ride meals?
Thanks a lot for sharing. Such a cool area too. Re amazing laundry service in your other vid, absolutely loved that as I could totally relate to when we are on the road too (ski team) - similarly grateful for some seriously fast turnarounds and nice folding lol. Have enjoyed following you since first lockdown last year, great content!
@@cliffordchaperon6795 not necessarily targeting you mate. Though equipment and weight are surely important, one will drop weight with attention to diet and simply putting in the time on the bike. Some seem to be obsessed with riding the lightest rig...starts to get expensive.
My wife is an Accountant. When we first met and i was explaining the sort of money spent on bikes i expected expected an adverse reaction. Was pleasantly surprised when she replied “Locking money away and denying yourself the things that give you pleasure don’t help you enjoy life while you can”. Im all for investing, but after i buy my bikes 😂😂
do you descend into Bormio and ride the climbs there? This climb in the video is the one that goes to the gravel road and the lake.....I'm forgetting the climbs name.....Oh Torri de Fraele correct?
I remember karaoke evenings before a rest day on our Mallorca training camp. Every serious amateur cyclist drinking diet coke, serious weekend warriors getting shitfaced. :)
I think he was joking; he said "this low altitude is getting to my brain" at 6:22 playing on the fact that people usually complain about high altitude getting to their brain instead.
Great video Alex, I must watch the others. I did ask you how your Italian was coming along, and you kindly answered with "molto bene". I will ask you again soon, and I want to see an alternative response, don't ask one of your Italian team mates or use google translate! Stay safe. Bocca al lupo!

Hi Alex I would love to watch a video about this too, thanks
Yh agree
Agreed!
I would be interested as well.
That would be fantastic!
That road up to lago de cancano with all those switchbacks is beautiful. 😍
Thanks Alex for sharing insights into your training 👍

Love this content Alex. Made me subscribe. 👍
wonder how much the pro's love the sound of those brakes all the time
Great video keep them coming. What make is the rain jacket for apocalyptic weather??
Thank you so much for giving us an inside look at a pro cyclists life! I really enjoy your videos.
Plum all the way!!!! if Alex keeps doing these!
It seems like you are holding the camera between your teeth on the descent. Chapeau to the great rider providing all this great content!
Great Vlog Alex - really enjoy how "down to the earth" you are :)
It’s be nice to know who makes the apocalypse jacket. I’m sure the sponsors wouldn’t be happy.
I bet your fun at parties
End of the day this is 11 minutes of air time the sponsors otherwise wouldn’t be getting so I doubt they’d be annoyed really
Livigno. Great riding. Great mtn biking. Avg skiing…
Am I the only one who is uneasy at Alex’s 61 unread messages? The dreaded red dot.
Alex - are you happy with the weight penalty of disc brakes or would you prefer rim brakes & a lighter bike ?
Oh no...not another weight weenie?
@@andrewsandoz8005 Am I the weight Weenie or is it the person who analyses every gram that they put into their mouth ?
Let's get Durianrider on the chat. :)

Wonder what the investment app would say about a £5k Road bike for big pack finishes at 4th cat crits. Money well spent is my bet

I thought it was just me that felt that way about a Gilet… 🤷🏽♂️😄

I think it was Cancano - www.bormiobike.it/road-bike/en-cancano.aspx

No boozefests? How else can you strengthen cohesion?

You should teach Mike woods how to descend
I'm glad you brought up the gilet thing. Pointless peace of clothing imho
Altitude addling your brain? I'm sure, and I might be wrong, but haven't you said you live at altitude?

You don’t look like you have the passion any more
Hope Woodsy can overcome this shit team and win a stage!

That creaking sound is driving me mad.
I was thinking the same thing. Even my 15-year old Kuota Kredo doesn't creak like that.
