    Build quality is far above my rzr ., hands down. Handles great. A bit faster than my re flashed xp4 1000. But through rough sections of Baja? I can go much faster in the XX! The suspension is a bit soft, but never bottomed out. Good stuff!

      Love how you got it all wrong, the tire didn't hit the fender, the belly hit the ground causing the entire car to shake from the impact.

    The symmetrical rear trailing arms are a fantastic idea. Front shocks mounted to lower arms and the rear bed tray are very innovative. This machine should be competitive with other machines in its class.

    Back when cat first introduced the wildcat it was supposed to be a game changer...and it was, for the guys working the A-C parts counter during the summer months. If textron wants to grab some of the market share, this thing (along with the havoc) will have to hold up & perform far better than their past offerings did.

      I am an Arctic Cat Dealer as well as Can-Am and Polaris, I would agree with ROTAXD, the bar has been raised so high by AC's counterparts, its going to be expensive to take the crown away from the other players.

    unfortunately this won't compete with the x3 or the new rzr s turbo as it only has 125 hp, and I'm a Kawasaki fan but thinking of switching brand do to the Kawasaki falling way behind. anyway the xx looks promising I'm sure it will still be a lot of fun to ride.

    • @crfreerider22

      Jamie Cerasoli it's not meant to compete with a turbo. It's not a turbo. It is, though, the most powerful non turbo side by side ever built. But if you need a boost, bolt on turbos are available right now.

      buggiwhip cat/textron has always been the bottom of the barrel as far as their sxs. My guess is that yes, there will be grease fittings. But to offset the cost of the fittings they'll likely use junk bushings that compress or split when the machine is pushed.

    • @buggiwhip

      TXC COS --- Normally I don't lower myself to exchange with low lifes who use F-bombs to form their first sentence ... But I wonder where you get this "constantly knocking it" ... Do I know you?
      I've had a blast with my Wildcat machines but the repairs and modifications to fix things that were under engineered and not properly tested has had me working on the machines 5 hours for every hour of fun.
      I have 50 years of off road experience on bikes and buggies --- The Wildcat was a great advancement in 'thinking' when it first hit the market in 2012 but simply not up to the hammering in the actual application. I'm certain the XX will be miles better in reliability. As I hammer thru the boulders in Colorado and Utah I want the machine to take it without need for modification and with minimal maintenance. The XX has fixed the dismal steering system, doubled the size of the wheel bearings beefed the transmission and diffs along with dozens of other things... it will, no doubt, be a far better machine.

    Robby Gordon did a fantastic job. Textron Offroad is coming after Polaris and Can Am and they better be ready. This car is an amazing ride and drive.

    • @ROTAXD
      @ROTAXD 6 лет назад

      David Gustin c'mon. Cat/artco/textron has had a few "genius" moments in the powersports industry since the 60's but no real game changers. They had the wankel rotary motors in 69 or 70 which were a huge flop. They had the first mass produced ifs sled in the 77 trail cat...another undependable flop. They won the big displacement battle for a year or two and claimed biggest hp twin with the 650 wildcat (a suzuki motor)...then throughout the 90's they had a plethora of different ifs setups which all regularly broke when pushed., then they introduced that pos diamond drive that was supposed to be some great awakening for power transfer...which was also junk but for some reason, they were able to convince yamaha that they "needed to have" cat's diamond drive...hence the merger that introduced the yama-cat. Somewhere along the line they introduced the wildcat and the wildcat trail which were supposed to be game changers for the entire sxs industry...which turned out to be a massive fail. Bent arms, shocks etc became the norm for those of us with friends who owned cats. Now, robby gordon may have designed something great, but hopefully trxtron/cat does not bastardize it into something that has far more dnf's than finishes just to cut costs.

    • @ROTAXD
      @ROTAXD 6 лет назад

      David Gustin give me a break. Cat/textron has been 4th in the running in both offroad & snow for 20 + years. In order to become competitive in the snow they had to get into bed with yamaha...oh, and look, they even got into bed with yammi on their mill for the sxs wars with a clone of the yxz motor. As far as running down brp and polaris...I doubt it. Polaris has 50+ of the market share and brp has over 20%.

      David Gustin it will never catch polaris. Maybe in 20 years. Arctic junk only has 9% of the market and on the verge of sinking until textron bought them. Polaris has 41% of the market. It will be extremely had to beat that. Not only that, Polaris has toons more options and accessories that this thing

    I hope it's built better than their ATV's. I needed a second ATV for my wife and son, so I bought a TRV 700 yesterday. The fit and finish is horrendous compared to my 15 Rubicon or my current Outlander 800. Christ, the shift lever doesn't even come close to lining up with the indicator next to it, it just feels cheap. I have considerable regrets that I bought something from this company.

    • @alexmaclean1
      @alexmaclean1 6 лет назад

      I should add that it also got stuck in high range and wouldn't shift out to start again, had to frig with it for about 15 minutes to get it to park, and the engine sounds like the valves are noisy and it's only got 15 miles on it. It's fucking awful.

      That was one of Textron's requirements. The feedback from consumers was clear that the majority of consumers wanted a well known "name brand" shock. Even though you and I (and anyone who knows shocks) know Elka and King are far superior, the majority of consumers know and like the Fox product.
      I beleive going forward it will be an option to choose your shock package.

    • @rmw277
      @rmw277 6 лет назад +2

      I went to the dealer show in Vegas at the end of February and that was probably the most asked question by dealers. The answer we seemed to keep getting was "The Fox QS3 Shocks are more versatile to fit every rider's needs, from dunes to trail to mud and everything in between. King shocks are aimed more at wide open areas like the dunes out west."
      Hope that helps

      Jack Landers all the hp in the world means nothing if the platform it's in does not stay together. If textron has really decided to go after the competition, the wildcat will have to be able to both finish races & hold up to the weekend warriors (aka: the "hold my beer and watch this" crowd). The last wildcats were not up to the task.
