the natural flow of their speaking to each other never sounds fake, it sounds like just another conversation from game grumps, and I am always flabbergasted at how even if you cut up random bits of their conversations, it can still sound perfectly casual and yet improvised in a way that makes them sound more funny.

The subtly of Dan’s hand bobbing to the beat, it’s honestly amazing. Gives a sense of realism and character, as well as keeping Dan from looking like an static image or an obviously held frame, next to Arin’s big movements

1:45 when Arin says "I,m going for a walk," I like how the technique being played on the bass is "walking bass." As a bass player this makes me happy that they put that together.
No one, and I mean *no one* would've known that aside from other bass players, so thank you for telling us. I knew there was something I wasn't getting, but dismissed it as an inside joke.

And that part where he says "I'm twinklin', I'm twinklin'", he is, in fact, doing what is sometimes called "twinkling notes". That's one name for playing higher pitched, rapidly alternating keys like that on a piano.
As a trumpet player, 5:05 is an accurate representation of all brass.

4 years later and this video is still astonishing to me. It’s so well done, props to everyone involved
I listened halfway and thought to myself, "I better see the real video" so I went and search for minutes then I looked up the info thought that I could find the link to the vid there and I am very frickin astounded to actually see that this is based from pure imagination. Those audios were taken from random vids and it took me a whole while to sink it into my brain. I was so sad that this wasn't real but on the other hand, these animators made it real, so Kudos to them. Now excuse me, I'm going to repeat this video for the umpteenth time.

Some of these animators did a better job than tons of real “professionals” like I’d pay for tv shows with that good animations like at 3:11. Holy shit that’s a lot of likes like before this the most I had was 11

actually there are plenty of online animators who take commissions etc. nowadays who used to work at large studios such as dreamworks, pixar or even disney! it is entirely possible that many of the animators who worked on this are such animators.
Are we just going to ignore that both of the people that animated 3:11 are actual professionals? They're both part of Knights of the Light Table, which also animated TWRP's Starlight Brigade video and, soon, NSP's The Mystic Crystal video.

I cried watching this again after a few years. This is just one of my favorite videos. I was studying abroad in Italy at the time it came out and I was super homesick and stressed and grumps helped me get through it. I listened to this on repeat for WEEKS. These fans are truly so talented.
As someone who is hard of hearing and always had captions on, I have to say who ever did the CC Thank you! Seriously not only were they actually done and not just auto generated but they are hilarious 😆 and absolutely fit the video.

This video made me hurt today, but also smile. I didn't think I'd ever write a comment like this here.. I recently lost both of my parents, and life without them is scary, especially so without mom.
When this came out I was watching Game Grumps all day everyday around then, and found so much enjoyment in this specific video. My mom was in her 50's and the Grumps humor never was quite her taste anyway, but I'd show her certain things like that if I really was losing it laughing, like when watching the "funny joke Yoda" episode. In this case, I was laughing, but I was mostly really inspired by a lot of the animator's work here and felt compelled to show her.
I always told her I was gonna be an animator, so just knowing how genuinely lit up I was about the video, she watched the whole thing and (probably) forced her reaction to me, in that classic mom way. A way I really miss. God I'd do anything to be able to gush to her about things like this again..
Lord knows she was busy and I derailed her tidying just to show her something only I specifically like lol. Ig having someone who tried with everything in them to give me the reaction and attention I needed, on a whim, is something I severely took for granted.
The kind encouragement they give each other is very nice

I've lost count of how many times I've watched this. It's a go to for whenever I'm feeling down and could use literally any smile.
The variety and talent in the animators, the clean music and transitions, the absolute insanity of finding the perfect voice clips, the subtle and hilarious bits/references..... I don't know how to describe it. This is just such an amazing piece of genuine art to me and it's something truly special on its own. Absolutely beautiful and thanks to everyone involved with this. (Special shout outs Beatrice Bulteau and Tom Waterhouse for my favorite little bits of animated gags. Beatrice with her bass walk and Tom for his subtle "God Dammit Ross" before the climax.)

The closest you'll get to that is an old composer called P. D. Q. Bach, supposedly a decendant of the real Bach's brother or something, but that's made up. All his stuff is hilarious. Just search him up.
As a music student who was studying to become a conductor and/or music teacher, I need to say that this sounds simultaneously amazing and TERRIFYING...like, theoretically, it could work, but you would need a bunch of really talents musicians who can all play multiple different instruments AND who have some training and/or experience in comedy, because otherwise, it wouldn't be NEARLY as entertaining as this was...but also WOW, THIS WAS AWESOME
