    Congratulations, on the new role and I agree to keep that private. I would also love to see some mental health and faith based content as well!

    It's the mopping their house for me.. wow! I have thought about getting into Case Management ever since I found your channel. The home visits was a concern for me. I also thought about Social Work. I definitely have and will continue to pray and ask God for direction. Thank you for the video and I look forward to seeing more content from you.

      Yes, crazy right!? I think you should definitely still try it out. Everyone’s experience is different and I honestly loved it when I first started. Poor management took the fun out of it. Like you said, pray on it! Thank you for watching, wishing you the best in whatever role you decide on 💕

    When I worked as a CM and the clients got disrespectful I gave that energy right back. Yes, I agree it’s a safety issue because I had to go places alone. We had staff assaulted and the agency refused to allow us to take maze. So, people left. They recently gave them raises to keep the ones that stayed.

      Wow, that is crazy that happened! But honestly, I am not surprised. Similar situation happened where there was a lot of turnover as a result.

    Home visits are sometimes scary. When you feel in your gut that this is not safe, follow your psyche. Sounds like you did your level best to incorporate the rules. Moving on was the best thing. Good for you.

      So true , upper management never had any other advice and barely support. An utter nightmare, but somehow I can’t stay away from this line of work.

      It’s hard to tell a human being with normal emotions to accept disrespect, especially when you’re trying to help them. It take a “special” type to handle disrespect to the point that you have to keep taking it from the same individual without admonishment. I did my few years with the public and quickly found out it wasn’t my calling 😂

    I work with a nonprofit mental health organization in KY and I have a MSW and I only get 32000 a year. I use to do case management and I got burnt out after just a year of doing it. the resources in my community was scarce and I totally understand the disrespect from the clients. It is difficult to handle and redirect when your organization or higher ups are not behind you.

    • @slarvadain188
      @slarvadain188 20 дней назад

      $32,000 a year is an insult. Don’t give them more than a year. Look for something in the hospital or clinic. Think about some contract work options.

In regard to what you said about meshing and filming your new job I think maybe settle in and then share what you’re comfortable sharing. I started as a case manager two weeks ago and so far so good I’ll c how it goes.

    I applied for a State on MD job but I feel like they didn't pay enough for it being a state job and everyone I know who worked for them (in certain counties) has expressed how they didn't like it either.

    • @AniyaDanyea

      Everyone has a different perspective, you could go in there and love it, or not. However, the pay is something that may have you reconsider. Do what is best for you at this time.

    Hi thank you for sharing. I for many yrs debated if I should continue my education in the social work field. I have a Bachelor’s in healthcare management which I thought maybe would allow me opportunity to get a taste of case management work. I am currently working in the health insurance field and honestly feeling a little stuck. I hate to say I am yearning for a more meaningful position where I can help make a difference in people’s lives. I just do not know how to start seeking out opportunities without any experience. I would like to get into case management role dream would be working with children and family services. I feel under qualified on a experience level . I would love your thoughts or recommendations on how I can possibly get my foot in the door in the field . Or is it my best bet to go for my MSW? I make no money now. My thoughts are at least I would be doing something more meaningful if I’m gonna struggle financially. 😊 Thank you for work.
