When I was younger, I worried I couldn't gather together more than 2 bridesmaids. However, now that I'm getting married in 5 months, I have 8 of them. I was lucky enough to establish a great relationship with a core group of girls in college. While we all live in different areas, we talk all the time and try to coordinate a time for everyone to meet once a year. I couldn't possibly choose between them, so I have 8. But the one thing I forgot-the more bridesmaids, the more money. I have to buy 8 sets of gifts, 8 flower arrangements, a bigger house to rent for Bach party stuff. So just be real with yourself.

One thing on save the dates. I feel like they are important if you are getting married in the summer. So people know if they are invited and can plan their summer vacation ahead of time.

Getting married on July 1, and you both have been life savers!!! We also are having a 90ish day engagement which is crazy!! Also we are trying to hit a $4k wedding! It’s definitely possible to have a bomb event, lovelies, research and use your resources (borrow lots and resell!)
As someone who watches Jamie there were a couple times i was answering with her because I've seen her videos 😂 we need more of this duo!
I'm having a cocktail ceremony, since our wedding starts at 7:30pm. No dinner. I was not going to do a seating chart until my grandma said, "remember your cousin Steve's wedding?" I did not because that was 20 years ago. Apparently, my grandma went alone with all 4 of her youngest grandchildren. We couldn't find a group of 5 chairs anywhere, and everyone was super rude about moving, so she had my 2 sisters on her lap, the one boy in the chair next to her (because patriarchy), and I ate standing up. She was traumatized by this. Now my cool cocktail lounge space is full of 10-top tables.

This was so helpful! Especially the tear down because I have not even thought of that. I’m getting married in less than a month 😱 I sent my save the dates through a Facebook group!
Lots of good info! The table thing happened at my sister's reception. They didn't have assigned seats and we kept having to make new tables but ran out of centerpieces and it was just silly.

Asking people to travel across the country and stay in hotel, could use more than 3 month advance. Most will have to use vacation time and look for bargain travel rates. Save the date before before Jan if wedding year. Many companies gave people sign up for vacation (by seniority) as the year vegins

I was thinking of getting the day of coordinator but my future sister in law convince me other wise since she's a photographer (she's also a bridesmaid) and also our photographer is her coworker and friend ( photographers are on a schedule as well and can help out depending on who you have) I'm definitely trusting her with a list and for her to find out the hours where things will be done.
