Yeah my comment aged well, with Tidal Wave being verified, a level with 200 Frame perfect inputs on 60FPS lmfao, by far the new hardest level. Huge update right around the corner, and Steam has an all time high on GD right now.
I will always have love for the bloons series, been playing since 2013 and fell back in love with the series last year with btd6, don’t know how it never gets praise
I can't even remember how I found btd 1, but I did somehow in computer lab in elementary school and it has never left my roster. Just got the 2 dsiware titles on my 3ds the other night for a nostalgia kick. Something about the series just feels right.
Part of the reason flappy bird dropped in popularity is that it got removed from the app stores by the developer. He felt too guilty about how addictive the game was
I know Bloons Tower Defense started started as a flash game but i feel like BTD5 should be considered a classic mobile game. Maybe not idk. Also Tiny Wings was a pretty great classic imo. Great list! Keep up the awesome content
Not sure if anyone else played it but I think hungry shark evolution should be an honorable mention, I remember playing it in 2014 and its an amazing game imo
Vector, Kingdom Rush, Clumsy Ninja, Timberman, Piano tiles, PixelGun, Score Hero, Beat the Boss 3, Shadow Fight. Those are some of the ones that I remember playing some years ago. Mobile games were so good back then!
Dumb ways to die used to be one of my top favourite mobile games years ago, but when I reinstalled it last year it was really hard to have fun playing it as it has ads now, I don’t often mind mobile games having ads except the ads aren’t after finishing a game, I got one after every mini game which would really disrupt the flow of the game and cause me to lose a lot, especially due to it taking ages to load off the ad
When you dig deep enough into Geometry Dash, you will honestly be surprised at how big the game become, and i mean BIG. From just incredible artworks by GD creators, to achievements that are near impossible, this game is much MUCH more than it seems
Ikr, people have literally used it as a programming software and made games in it, ther are dungeon crawler games, side scrollers, people have made 3d renders, stunning level design, multiplayer events, I saw one video where they basically did r/place in geometry dash. It is so awesome
as someone who still plays GD, this comment is still very much true. although the community has definitely dampened, creators are still making new levels all the time and there's hype for the next update that's supposed to release.
My Singing Monsters was robbed of that A tier. Good nostalgic video though! Loved it! (Personally My Singing Monsters is S tier but I definitely can see how it is not for other people lol.)
Monument Valley really changed my taste in mobile games forever. I can't find any more greater games than this beautiful masterpiece. The only game that even competes to it is its own game sequel itself. I really wish for another sequel to come out someday to quench my desires to find a game that is on par as this one.
There is a game called MECORAMA or something similar. Its based on it, but you are a bot who has to get point B from point A. Its preety cool, and FREE
I’m surprised pocket god wasn’t on the list. I remember how fun it was just trying creative things with the pygmys and trying to figure out with my friends what the hints meant when trying to complete each chapter. Plus there was that cool “rock-paper-scissors” type game that you could play as you unlocked new idols
I remember in like 7th or 8th grade at the lunch table before school started me and my friends would all get together and play it because we named our pygmies after each other. Fun times, now we all got bills and half of us have kids. I still play Plague Inc. though!
The feeling of nostalgia hit me hard enough to send me back to the 3rd grade remembering assembling the boys and making a clan in clash of clans or comparing high scores in crossy road and then came the feeling of feeling old when realizing that these are the classics as if they are relics of a far off past. I'm only turning 20 next month...
Geometry Dash has now grown into a big game with a community that actually contribute a lot to the game by creating amazing levels and just overall uplifting the game
Yeah, some levels even have actual realistic-looking decoration. And the hardest verified levels are some of the hardest things done in any video game ever.
Man I felt so much nostalgia from watching this video. It kind of makes me sad to think all those memories of playing these games with friends or on long trips probably won’t be a part of my kids lives if I ever have any. I know that every generation has a few of those things but its easy to forget and take them for granted until your late night RUclips watching spree reminds you
Even though I know it's not a very long time ago only a decade ago but the memories is flew in my head. Spent your pre-early teen in the early 2010s era is the best time ever happened. Now we're already prepare for family of our own
Geometry Dash moved to Steam and still has a really active community (even today!). Some of the recently-made levels are absolute works of art. Of all the games you've listed, it's one of the only ones that have lasted for this long, which I'd say makes it the best :) Here's an example of a newer level: ruclips.net/video/1O0d1A6GuSA/видео.html
@@SporianSummit I beg to differ. With levels like White Space and Dream Flower, both by Xender Game(and Knots), they’re getting more and more complex. Creators like Hhyper and Spu7nix are pushing the bounds of the editor with things like 3D animated sequences. Also, the latest level I’ve beaten is absolutely wild from start to finish: ruclips.net/video/n_SbIDM8cxk/видео.html
@@Ethan_FPV but the thing is, they arent trying to go outside the box or try out unique things, its all complexity and looks without any unique charm like there was in the past.
@@SporianSummit I can kinda see what you’re saying, but I really have to disagree. Literally all 1.9 and 2.0 levels look the same. You had a few outlier like Nine Circles style levels, but in general, we have WAY more creativity today, primarily because of Absolute and the object bypass that allow 800k+ objects.
@@Ethan_FPV ...yet damn near every demon level follows the exact same pattern of how people shove flashing lights and whatnot nowadays even more with arrows thinking players are dumb, and while there are outliers sure its still very common to see ripoffs, even moreso than the 1.7-2.0 days
I feel like Clash of Clans is one of the few games on this list that has enough longevity to where it's still worth playing today, easy S for me and miles beyond any other village builder ever made (trust me, I played a lot of them back in the day)
I still play it from time to time but I don't understand how people enjoy in anymore, once you get to town hall 10+ everything is sooooo expensive and slow to build/upgrade,. I'm also not a fan of the new villages. For me this game is WAY better when you are around Town Hall 4-9.Clash Royale is much more enjoyable even when you get stronger.
Geometry Dash has transcended the mobile game label, not just because it moved to steam but because of how much content you can get out of that $2.00 game. It’s truly remarkable how many creators there are that helped bring the game to a godlike status among mobile games
Dude, you must include the "Beat the Boss". The 3rd part was sick Also "vector" should be included. In addition, "Smash Hit" was pretty hyped while being cool, so take it into consideration
A good mobile game of this era is Dragon Vale, a park/zoo creation game. All the dragons have a unique design, all the in-game buildings have a unique design. This game still gets updates, and events. I love this game, very nostalgic.
I got back into it after like a 7 year hiatus, and though there were a lot of confusing new additions, I got used to it and now it’s as fun as it used to be. Crazy how I first played the game over 10 years ago now.
I lost my save that had several hard to get dragons (Equinox? Definitely some that were only available for a day or two a year) and I was just broken and couldn’t get myself to restart it all
One classic mobile game that goes HUGELY UNNOTICED is Badland. IT was enticing, adictive and had a sort of campaign that was actually quite challenging. Hope you check it out in the future
Modern Geometry Dash is so underrated, just look up a level by Xender Game or Culuc or watch clears of the hardest levels, it's amazing to see the talent and skill people have in this game

Kingdom Rush is another classic that I don’t see many talking about. Definite competitor to PvZ and BTD5 for best classic mobile tower defense. As for other classics, I remember everyone used to play this Mario knockoff featuring a leprechaun called Lep’s World, and there was a whole series of apps. It was pretty fun but definitely feels antiquated in retrospect. Civilization: Revolution was basically Civilization on a phone, it was amazing. Dragon City is also a classic I guess, but it feels like one of those apps that introduced a lot of scummy business practices so I don’t like it that much anymore (I did play it a lot back then, though). I love Cut the Rope, I've always enjoyed how fresh and well-made its animation and designs are. These plus the music just give a cozy feeling when playing the series
Clumsy ninja, dragon vale, and minion rush are also classics that I would play on my dads phone on the way to school. Also kinda underrated but idk how fun it is bc its been years, but zombie catchers. Its a game where you harpoon different zombies and turn them into different flavored smoothies lol
I don't know if that's niche or not, but I loved to play Alto's Adventure when I was younger. It may not be the oldest title, but it definitely is a great one, and I encourage anyone to try it themselves.
Zombie farm is the best mobile game of all time. I was still pretty young so didn’t get to play it as much as I wanted before it was taken off the App Store. Best game of all time
The thing about ny singing monsters is that, from the perspective of a veteran player, it gets far better. Early game is pretty mid but when you have several diamond mines making dozens of gems for you to burn in 5 seconds every day along with hordes and hordes of definitely upstanding citizen monsters it is very fun
The more islands you have, the more stuff there is to do and the easier it is to get currencies. Over the years they have made the microtransactions MUCH less dominating and aside from spending £2 to get rid of ads, I haven’t spent anything on the game and I don’t feel like I need to The game has gotten better and better and is in the middle of its best year yet (also 10 year anniversary). While many other city-builder type games have wilted over time succumbing to microtransactions or exhaustion of content, my singing monsters still stands strong. S tier for me
I still play Plague Inc. to this day. I even bought the PC version on Steam. One unfortunately short-lived game that I absolutely adored was Star Wars Commander which is, unfortunately, no longer available. It was similar to Clash of Clans (which i have never played) but the game design was so good i never wanted to play the game it tried to copy
I agree with most of your rankings tbh. I never played the Room as a kid though (never even heard of it😳). Some games I would add are Dragon Fly (played this a lot in the car with my brother), Hungry Shark Evolution and Bloons Tower Defense! (and maybe the original Piano Tiles, but I think it no longer exists, only the crappy remakes, just like Dancing Line (great music) )
I know this isn’t exactly an “official” classic mobile games tier list, but I do genuinely think the Infinity Blade series (I-III) ought to have earned a spot. It’s a terrible shame that the developers stopped re-updating them to maintain compatibility years ago; they were some of the highest-quality mobile games I’ve ever played.
1000%, Infinity Blade imo is a gold standard for mobile games and arguably some of the greatest mobile games ever made. I probably poured hundreds of hours into Infinity Blade 3 as a kid and honestly still would be playing if they were still alive. RIP to the goats :(
wasn't the decline in popularity for Flappy Bird because the creator removed it from the Google Store/App Store? i remembered back then we were reminding all those who haven't installed it to have it in their phones before it was gone
The room is so good, it has fantastic graphics, lore, really great puzzles and a masterful atmosphere. It would be a top 5 puzzle game even on PC, its just so much better than all the other alternatives. I paid money to get it as a child, i was captivated and got the other free one, the room 2. Now, about a decade later I actually bought the room 3 and was still captivated by the experience. I wish there would be a part 4.
Loved the video! Definitely took me back in time. A couple of ideas for a part 2: Bejewled and Bookworm. I also really enjoyed Steambirds but I’m sure that one is more niche.
Bejeweled isn't a gamehouse game? Btw, if you do gamehouse's games, my most favorite game is, uh what's it capled again, inspector parker? or something I felt that it really trained us to not go with your gut feeling, but to actually think before commiting to a model you've just created in your head.
Tiny Wings, Clash Royale, Trivia Crack, Minecraft, Threes, Infinity Blade need to be on next one. Also shoutout to Ridiculous Fishing, Punch Quest, and Slayin as less popular games but definitely some of the best mobile has to offer.
I know it's not a pure classic but the two alto games being adventure and odyssey are such perfect time wasters. The visuals on them are so pleasing for a mobile game and the soundtrack is the perfect relaxing melody for a relaxing endless scroller.
One game that should be included if a sequel is done is 2048. That game was and still is a lot of fun. I never got 2048 on the original game, but I have on remakes.
You listed loads of amazing mobile games but if you make a part 2 then please add in 'Pac man friends' it was my favourite game 6 years ago... also 'draw a stickman epic' and 'draw a stickman epic 2' are amazing games and u should include those too..
I like how geometry dash is considered an "old classic" yet it's community is so much more active than it was before, hell even a geometry dash player won the hidden gem streamer awards
Oh boy! I was so excited for this tier list that I needed no less than five diaper changes. Now you have to do a full cover of the Dumb Ways To Die song. Here's the timestamps for each time the elusive Justin F was enjoying COC 11:25
Having CoC anywhere below S is a war crime. I guess it is opinion based so it’s fair, but overall it’s one of the best mobile games every created which is why it’s had more longevity than almost any other game in history 📈
A few games I played religiously as a kid that weren’t on here are Dragon Story, Dragon Vale, and Office Jerk. They were all great games, and Office Jerk gave me so many fun memories
you just have to play my singing monsters for a long time to actually consider it fun ive gotten super far without a single in app purchase, but i started like 3 years ago
Yeah i just don’t care for the breeding I guess, the rest of the game is honestly really cool! I don’t know maybe it is based on the amount of time you put in?
@@Jake.Miller Yes, definitely! The game (which was even slower back then) is very slow in the beginning, but once you start unlocking islands the more and more easy it becomes to unlock new things! I'd totally recommend at least getting all of the natural common monsters on Earth Island before giving up. Once you get there, the progression becomes much faster! :)
These games give me such nostalgia oh my god. One that I was definitely missing is Zombie Tsunami, maybe even Earn to Die, though it's not a phone game. Old pc games that were on Y8, and on Friv are all def nostalgia material.
I love that you included Geometry Dash, i feel like it's not all that often thought of a game where mobile games where still good. Nice song choice for the first few games btw ;)
I cannot think of classic puzzle mobile games without remembering Love You to Bits. I played it a lot when I was younger and it was a such a blast to play when I was on long car rides or on the schoolbus.
Flappy bird was banned from the App Store, that’s why it fell so hard. The creator took it down because it wasn’t designed to be addictive. Of course there have been replicas by other devs, but none like the original. Phones and tablets with the original flappy bird go for a premium price because it’s been unavailable ever since it’s release.
i think the best thing about these games is, that everyone played them. in my school we always compared our scores in jetpack joyride, temple run, geometry dash etc. and it was a special feeling to play those
Games for part 2: Smash hit, Robbery Bob, Clumsy Ninja, Bloons, Shadow Fight, Backflip Madness, Shadowgun, Vector, Piano Tiles, Score Hero, The Trail, Stair Dismount, Samurai vs Zombies, Head Soccer, Beat the Boss
I've been playing PvZ since my 2nd grade till this day.PvZ is just another thing for me it is not a game for me anymore i built some kind of bold with it and when I see this game the nostalgia deeply hurts me.I remember especially PvZ2 had a great story and when I was playing that game I dont just felt I am playing the game I felt myself in that story like I am living it.Additionally the OST of the game is the most mesmerizing part for me.Imo it is the greatest OST a game had ever achieved.
None of the D tier are supposed to be D tier. Especially dumb ways to die. Thats a easy S tier. Also PVZ isnt even close to the best tower defense game ever made, that has to go to BTD 4, BTD 5 or BTD Battles Also u missed hungry shark games and those games where you’re a ninja going in between 2 buildings Edit: the game is called Ninja Jump Master
Ok let me just say that this guy put both GD and Jetpack joyride in the right place, however how could you possibly put subway surfers in b?! I had never seen anyone disgrace such a classic like that
i still think about a lot of these games to this day, but thank you so much for reminding me of my singing monsters. i used to absolutely LOVE that game
Who here remembers MEGA JUMP? That game was LEGENDARY. It’s been stuck in App Store purgatory because it’s incompatible with the current versions of iOS, and it seems like the developers have abandoned it. If you find it, you just see tons of reviews of people saying to bring it back. I still miss it to this day…
Will say, MSM isn't S tier, but feels more A tier if you're into games with combining stuff as long as you've got a small semblance of patience. Yeah, you can make in-app purchases, but just getting rid of ads is all I really did and it's the only thing I've bought. Ntm, everything comes back at some point.

I swear Fun Run was actually goated with friends. Playing it during class against your boys hyped me so much, same with flappy golf

When you dig deep enough into Geometry Dash, you will honestly be surprised at how big the game become, and i mean BIG. From just incredible artworks by GD creators, to achievements that are near impossible, this game is much MUCH more than it seems
Hola am gd creators
Ikr, people have literally used it as a programming software and made games in it, ther are dungeon crawler games, side scrollers, people have made 3d renders, stunning level design, multiplayer events, I saw one video where they basically did r/place in geometry dash. It is so awesome

as someone who still plays GD, this comment is still very much true. although the community has definitely dampened, creators are still making new levels all the time and there's hype for the next update that's supposed to release.

Monument Valley really changed my taste in mobile games forever. I can't find any more greater games than this beautiful masterpiece. Geometry Dash moved to Steam and still has a really active community (even today!). Some of the recently-made levels are absolute works of art. Of all the games you've listed, it's one of the only ones that have lasted for this long, which I'd say makes it the best :)
Here's an example of a newer level: ruclips.net/video/1O0d1A6GuSA/видео.html
the modern GD demon levels however are getting more and more bland overtime with very few exceptions.
@@SporianSummit I beg to differ. With levels like White Space and Dream Flower, both by Xender Game(and Knots), they’re getting more and more complex. Creators like Hhyper and Spu7nix are pushing the bounds of the editor with things like 3D animated sequences.

Over the years they have made the microtransactions MUCH less dominating and aside from spending £2 to get rid of ads, I haven’t spent anything on the game and I don’t feel like I need to
The game has gotten better and better and is in the middle of its best year yet (also 10 year anniversary).
I know this isn’t exactly an “official” classic mobile games tier list, but I do genuinely think the Infinity Blade series (I-III) ought to have earned a spot. forgetting to rank Bloons and Shadow Fight 2 are crimes most unforgivable
I don't get why Trainyard doesn't get mentioned, it was on the top 10 charts for a while during the dawn of mobile games, back when absolutely everyone was playing fruit ninja. Trainyard was by far my favorite.
monument valley was like one of thosede games i begged for bc it costed money. playing it when i was 11 was so surreal and it forever changed how i view art, gaming, and stories. i will die on the hill on monument valleys greatness
After seeing my singing monsters when he started rating monuments valley or whatever sorry if somebody is offended (which nobody cares about) my brain just started going la la la a lalalallaa laaaa LA LA LALA LAAAAAAA
Great video! I agree with the majority of the placements. If you ever make a Part 2, I hope you can include Vector, Dead Trigger, Asphalt (series), Minecraft Pocket Edition, and Pixel Gun 3D. 👌
A suggestion for the part two: the Infinity Blade saga, game III in particular. I don't know why, but something about these games won't let me forget about them even after all these years. I haven't thought about Cut the Rope or even Fruit Ninja in years, but something about IB3 has scratched an itch nothing was able to ever since.
Also, Duet. My ass is still burning from that one.
Interesting, I didn’t play that one (or duet) but I could check it out for a part 2! Thanks!
I’m flabbergasted that bloons TD isn’t on this list. It is the godfather of ALL middle school games.
I loved Angry Birds and Cut the Rope as a kid.
I still love them honestly
