I use to say to my students, "There are many ways to say the same thing". I believe there is a good example here... We have many ways to say "tired", for example. Fatigued, exhausted, drowsy and lethargic. Good common words to replace "tired". There is another common word that was missing, though. At least, I use to use it a lot. I have here a very good advice for others; watching English film with English subtitels. That helps a great deal, later you can use audiobooks, first in English, later in your language but then at hthe same time translating them into English. This is what do and it keeps my English vocabulary always fresh and on top.

"Commute", "lethargic", and "drowsy" were the unfamiliar ones, but I actually know the rest.
