    Welcome Disc Golf fans to the final round of the PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championships! You will notice a difference in the sound of our commentary audio because we recorded in front of a live studio audience for the first time ever! Think live podcast, but for disc golf coverage. We welcome your feedback regarding this first attempt at an event like this. As always, thank you for watching and we hope you enjoy.

      I think it's be great to get video of the commentators during the live coverage to be similar to the previous rounds, and if possible, a separate mic that has less echo. The video isn't as needed but the audio quality hurts a bit, especially with it being the finals of worlds compared to the earlier rounds.

    • @HouseOfMontague1
      @HouseOfMontague1 Год назад +31

      What is the intention of doing it live? I think in theory this sounds great, but there were no shots of the commentators and none of the crowd. Beyond some chuckles there was very little crowd reaction / interaction.
      I’m assuming everyone in the crowd was well aware of the results and that seemed to take away from some of the reactions you’d get from a true live event.
      I almost think the format would work better if it was a simulcast and in partnership with DGN, similar to Manning during MNF. I know that’s difficult since the guys may be playing their rounds, but overall this didn’t feel much different than your regular shows except with a slight hit to the quality.
      Still appreciate you all trying new things and brining more to fans. Would have been cool to do a Q&A after since you had a crowd and allow the live experience to feel more interactive that way.

    Fantastic broadcast. Spectacular play. The quality of everything to do with disc golf has improved so much over the last few years. I know there are fans of live coverage, but I feel this is the pinnacle of coverage. Pristine graphics, stats at the drop of a hat, friendly and intelligent commentary and cutting out all the dry air time between holes. You get 100% filet. Congratulations to Jomez for upping the ante with new graphics, new music and upping the aura of the presentation to match the quality of the play. Thank you for your obvious dedication on a par with the players to getting better and finding new ways to advance the coverage.

    It's amazing to me how much of a mental game this sport can be. You see people make putts from outside circle all the time but find OB and their putting rate drops. You see someone who seemed to struggle on the putting green the entire tournament make a huge bomb of a 80 footer in the most important moment and someone miss the island green he'd make otherwise just because of the pressure.
    I am truly inspired by Paul's mental toughness! Maybe without Conrad's steal last time he wouldn't have won it this year. Sad for Aaron to come short just like that but he should be really proud of himself. Of course the technical aspect is very very important. It's just crazy to me how mentally tough Paul is.
    While watching Paul play his first round I didn't have much expectations for him but at Jomez they said something like that even the guys who were shooting -12 or so won't have their streak goin' forever. It's how they come back after a bad shot. That's exactly what happened to Paul. He found a way to overcome bad streaks and adopt.
    Also I am super happy for Clemons to have played so well! Hats off to him!

    I feel like this is the most real/comfortable we’ve ever seen Paul in an interview. What a champions spirit to fight through those injuries. I was going for Aaron, but not mad that Paul got redemption and played like a goat.

    Paul's putt on 17 is going to be remembered for a long time I think, same as James Conrad in 2021. It won't get the same hype because it wasn't on 18 and wasn't as far away from the pin, but it was every bit as clutch as the Holy Shot in my opinion. Just looking at Paul's reaction to making that putt sent chills through me. Amazing performance from both him and Aaron Gossage.

    • @deanotto1130
      @deanotto1130 9 месяцев назад +1

      It should be even more clutch, as I don’t think Conrad was saying I have to make this. Where McBeth was like I have to make this. Conrad was I have to throw this good enough and give it the best chance I can. As with any long throw in there is a bit of luck as a sudden gust or lack of wind is something you can’t control. Where mostly with long puts it skill and clutch gene ( controlling the pressure).

    This is a worlds for the ages. McBeth had to battle injuries the entire time to get his redemption. The 6x champ has proven to us he simply just wants it more. Climo and McBeth are uncontested GOATS of their eras, and I don't see McBeth leaving anytime soon. To all the people that kept saying McBeth is washed... You're gonna have to keep waiting on that one lol. In the history of this sport he will be one of, if not the greatest, to ever touch a disc. Put some respect on the man's name.

They have to throw it through that gap and wherever they land make the put. I don't think you could find many pros that could do it even 1 out of 10 times.
