Church sells out shows everywhere he goes- not just in the south. His fan base is comprised of people from all walks/races/colors/creeds, etc. He's been all over the charts for quite some time. He's had country/rap/rock songs all hit the charts. You just been sleepin' on him. He's been around more than a minute. RHEC CREEK SQUAD!!
His biggest demographic is Michigan and Indiana, actually. His last album was Rock and hit number 10 on the Billboard charts. He has hit the Billboard charts several times on Rap, Rock, and Country over the past 3 years.
Part of the reason he refuses to sign with anyone, is because he does NOT want his words censored. If you listen closely, he commented on hispanics, asians, blacks AND whites. He was including EVERYONE. He is NOT racist, although many people try to claim he is.
When he said “got black dudes like gah damn” he was basically giving a shout out to the RUclipsr SimbaTV , Simba reacts to ALL of upchurchs videos & says “Gah damn” quiet a bit lol. It was just a shout out to him. The Asian & amigos lines were him just having fun & definitely not meaning any harm by that. He’s definitely not a racist by any means & you’ll learn that the more you react to him
I'm from Michigan and he said his 2 biggest fan base is Michigan and Florida... he has been on the billboard charts like 57 times and is a independent artist in rock rap and country... so he is clearly doing something right lol and the more you listen to him the more you will realize he is far from being a rascist and is trying to unite people
Try hi-deas 1 he talks about his feelings on race a little. But all the hi-deas 1 thru 6 are great. Also his longtime girlfriend is Puerto Rican. He doesn't see color. The rebel flag is about southern heritage to him nothing about race. Great reactions to him though and I hope you do more.
When you have time, try “Huckleberry” or his "Alpha Omega" remix. I think that his flow and wordplay are insane in these two tracks but it would be very interesting to have your advice from a technical point of view.

He wont sign with a label or mess with the "mainstream" because he stays true to himself. He has an insane fan base far beyond just the South.
His biggest fanbase is out of Michigan, and he is rolling all over the country, from Florida to Cali, nationwide.
