  • Our next stop on our #Montenegro holiday was the town of #Petrovac, decorated with lush green trees. Petrovac is a town with a 600 metre long sandy beach, quiet and perfect nature. Another name is "Petrovac na Moru".
Petrovac Beach and St Nedjelja Church
We liked the town of Petrovac, which is only 17 km from Budva, which is the district of Budva. We were told that buses also go to the town, but although we waited for a long time, the bus did not arrive, so we had to go by taxi. After a journey of less than half an hour, we arrived at Petrovac beach and a beautiful sea welcomed us on the sandy beach. Right in front of us, a beautiful and lush green island attracted our attention. An orthodox church lies among the greenery. Its name is St Nedjelja Church. It is possible to get to the island by boat. For 20 EUR you can tour the bays and go to the island.
    Kastia Castle
We walked to the end of the beautiful Petrovac beach and took a break at Medusa Restaurant. It was a sweet restaurant extremely close to the sea where you can make beer potatoes. You can find the menu prices in our video. After our break at the restaurant, we walked back along the beach and headed towards Kastia Castle from where we started. They are all very close to each other. It is a small town. Maybe it will take you 2 hours to walk around the whole town. If we take out the long walking path. It is possible to see Petrovac as a panorama from Kastia castle. You can take nice photos.
All you need: Hiking trail "Reževići"
Directly from the castle, we experienced the health walking path, which is read as Rezevici, but the original name is Reževići. It is a long and perfect path. It was very enjoyable to walk on the road overlooking the pine trees and the deep blue sea. It is also very suitable for the elderly as there are benches in places and you always walk in the shade. You pass through 2 tunnels. And the tunnel is dark :) And the end of the road leads you to an abandoned hotel and a small beach: Perazica Do Beach. It took about 2 hours to walk the whole way without resting, counting the way back.
    Sveti Stefan
We took the bus from Petrovac bus station to Budva, which leaves every hour, and drove to Sveti Stefan, which is about 10 minutes away. And the bus dropped us off at the panorama, which allowed us to take some nice photos of Sveti Stefan. From here we walked down to the island. With Ivana Vidoni Beach you can enjoy the sea on the perfect stony beach with a view of #SvetiStafan.
The story of Sveti Stefan, the Monaco of the Adriatic
Sveti Stefan is an old fishing town dating back to the 15th century. The island is named after St Stefan. There are also several old churches. In the 1950s and 1960s the entire small settlement was converted into a hotel. Sveti Stefan, the Monaco of the Adriatic, is owned by Amanresorts. For this reason, only hotel guests are now allowed to stay on the island. Other visitors are also allowed to enter the island, but must pay an entrance fee. Another way to visit Sveti Stefan is to book a table in a restaurant. Unfortunately we were not allowed to enter the island when we arrived. I think it is under restoration or closed for a long time.
On the way back from #SvetiStefan, minibuses go to Budva. For 2-3 EUR you can prefer minibus instead of taxi. Have a good watch already....
