Weird because the gov' charge people property tax who can't afford it. Banks put the mortgages up knowing their customers can't afford it in order to grab back the property which isn't theirs in the first place and then a lot of these homes sit there and become derelict. Landlords are getting greedy and then their properties stay vacant, same in UK, masses of them empty and falling to ruin. Angela remembered Art’s number today and called him on the phone to come pick her up. She wants to leave as soon as she gets her shot. She does not want to be there any longer than that. If she had it her way she’d leave today. Art asked her if he could talk to the nurses there about either keeping her or getting her released to a rehab and Angela said no she didn’t want that. She wanted to go back to the street. (she missed her cigarettes and Monsters!) So I really hope you can convince her to stay. It’s not going to be easy, but I fear every time she goes back to the street you lose her a bit more each time. The street has a strong hold on Angela and change is extremely scary to her. I wish you the best of luck to get her to change her mind. She sounded so much better today, but I don’t think she sees that.
Agreed. They need to keep this community treatment order in place as long as they can so that she can get proper housing and after care when released. So she can have a worker assigned to get her to her appointment for her injection each month and other health appointments and grocery shopping etc. A support worker is essential. Or she will be pulled back to the Street 😢
@@tambourine36She already has a case worker/social worker. One of the requirements for housing is you must be drug and crime free. This is why so many addicts are homeless on the streets. She has to want to get clean. It has to be her choice or it won’t happen.

When I watched that channel, all I saw was exploitation. Many of us had commented and tried to help. I gave up as watching her frustrations and illness were spiraling downwards with no signs of help. that's great but she's only been out from her last admit maybe a month, and she left there on her own accord as they were getting ready to get her into assisted living. Which by the way, she was fully medicated when she left and went back to the streets.

Erik, I love your heart and Jesus too, but I have to agree to disagree with you. As a single mom, veteran and worker, I have to use my funds for food, rent, ect but if someone brought me food and makeup and expensive energy drinks daily, that would free me up money for other things like drugs, if I did them. So, while I agree you are showing love and a way off the streets, doing it day in and day out for the same person does enable her. She doesn't have to worry about food, companionship or even a birthday going unnoticed, all she has to focus on is her high and any donations given to her directly do go directly to drugs. So I would never donate to someone that after 30 years doesn't want the help and leaves whenever it's given. God bless though
Do you know we’ve just raised $1400 in the last month and every thing else came out of His pocket? We don’t allow her to access any of those funds and she understands it’s solely for housing when she’s sober. We have spent tons of time with her so please understand we know what we’re doing and we also thank you for your service ❤❤❤❤
I agree with you. It's a difficult situation. We all want to help Angela, however sometimes the lines of enabling become blurred. That is the reason I won't donate to the Go Fund Me for her living situation. Not until she has some substantial sobriety would I donate money. I admire Erice and the others including Art for all they do, but sometimes it does get frustrating seeing the amount of money they spend on cigarettes and monster drinks. It's such a sad and frustrating situation. I will always continue to pray for her sobriety.

Drug addiction alters cognition and rationale. Once she gets off the drugs she will be able to process much clearly. The main focus right now is to get her to agree to rehab. All the comments about her being selfish is beyond me. Of course she'll be selfish she's addicted, but like I commented minutes ago...LOVE CONQUERS ALL! Well, this channel claims that Art called the police to get her help. I don't know if that's true, but if he did, I'm glad he did. That would show it's not all about money like people say. The problem is she has to want sobriety. She is like a feral animal after living on the streets for so long. The hospital is like a cage and she wants freedom. She doesnt know how to live domesticated and she dkesnt like or trust most people😮

Bringing her food and cigarettes is enabling unfortunately. It’s a tough spot and I don’t blame anyone for wanting to help her. She needs to go without to truly hit rock bottom.
She needs her meds most definitely, not sure if she needs monthly or every 3 to 6 months , it does help, but comes with side effects , I looked them up, it explains a lot more of what we see from her.. I hope & pray she can get help and become the person she deserves to be ❤❤

They difference in enabeling and caring is as wide as the sea do the really believe that giving someone a meal is going to make someone continue to use drugs ? If they are in that mindset they will use on a full or empty belly but having food and water could keep them alive a little bit longer and allow them the choice of getting sober . Too bad she can't stay a little longer because on the phone call that she had with Art she still seems a little out of it and then when she was in rehab last time when she would talk to Art she was so much more coherently. There are a few things that should probably be taken into consideration with Angela. (1. I’m not sure if she will see a doctor right away or what kind of tests they will do but she should have a full STD panel done because there a few STDs that if left untreated can severely cause mental health issues. (2. At age 50 Angela is more than likely experiencing full blown menopause symptoms and for someone with Angela’s lifestyle her hormones are probably completely out of whack…also on a side note energy drinks wreak havoc on women’s hormonal health. So she may have some serious underlying physical health issues that need to be addressed as well. Js. She needs good medical care💯💯🙏🏼♥️
They always look at the medical first which is a good thing. Then address the mental health. Angela has been treated for schizophrenia/bipolar/psychosis since she was very young. If often runs in twins too. And her twin amy is no longer with us. She has led an unfortunate life with her ex trafficking her in the streets and she feels worthless. He left her and she couldn't see her kids she was too messed up. Im sure they will do the best they can with the once a month injection of Risperdal antipsychotic. And that will get her thinking back in line so she can make good decisions again. Lets hope they keep her long enough this time to get her lipoma removed, her teeth looked at and her eye❤❤❤

Addicts can't be forced to get clean because it won't work and forcing your addict loved ones to go to rehab won't work unless they want to change. It usually takes rock bottom or A Spiritual Awakening or a religious/Mystical Experience for a man to change or getting sober for your kids.

I think Angela want's all the help, She don't want all the rules that goes along with getting help. The street has been her home for years she's so use to it now. Imaging living somewhere 20yr. and having to move. Even if it's for the better. Her anxiety is working overtime .

She needs medication and that will help once she's stabilized. I'm glad they got her in. Maybe a case worker can help getting her into housing. She needs to get SSI and that should help toward getting her off the street. She diesnt want to loose her freedom-- facilities and hospitals can be scary-- but if she has a safe place to go with help and care several times a week, that could help her greatly.

As a single mom, veteran and worker, I have to use my funds for food, rent, ect but if someone brought me food and makeup and expensive energy drinks daily, that would free me up money for other things like drugs, if I did them. So, while I agree you are showing love and a way off the streets, doing it day in and day out for the same person does enable her. She doesn't have to worry about food, companionship or even a birthday going unnoticed, all she has to focus on is her high and any donations given to her directly do go directly to drugs. So I would never donate to someone that after 30 years doesn't want the help and leaves whenever it's given. God bless though
Do you know we’ve just raised $1400 in the last month and every thing else came out of His pocket? We don’t allow her to access any of those funds and she understands it’s solely for housing when she’s sober. We have spent tons of time with her so please understand we know what we’re doing and we also thank you for your service ❤❤❤❤
I agree with you. It's a difficult situation. We all want to help Angela, however sometimes the lines of enabling become blurred. That is the reason I won't donate to the Go Fund Me for her living situation. Not until she has some substantial sobriety would I donate money. I admire Erice and the others including Art for all they do, but sometimes it does get frustrating seeing the amount of money they spend on cigarettes and monster drinks. It's such a sad and frustrating situation. I will always continue to pray for her sobriety.

It's just a frustrating situation, especially after she refused to go to sober living after her last rehab stay. I pray this time will be different. Bringing her food and cigarettes is enabling unfortunately. It’s a tough spot and I don’t blame anyone for wanting to help her. She needs to go without to truly hit rock bottom.

Well she was in the other place for at least a month. I don't know what the circumstances was that time but this time was a court order.
She needs her meds most definitely, not sure if she needs monthly or every 3 to 6 months , it does help, but comes with side effects , I looked them up, it explains a lot more of what we see from her.. I hope & pray she can get help and become the person she deserves to be ❤❤

The injections are usually monthly some every two weeks and Bloodwork. They keep people who are non compliant with meds stable

God bless you but everyone has made life so comfortable living on the streets, Why would she want to go to Rehab where she can't smoke and evidently she loves her freedom.Some people do not want to be under anyone's rules they love their freedom.
There are a few things that should probably be taken into consideration with Angela. (1. I’m not sure if she will see a doctor right away or what kind of tests they will do but she should have a full STD panel done because there a few STDs that if left untreated can severely cause mental health issues. (2. At age 50 Angela is more than likely experiencing full blown menopause symptoms and for someone with Angela’s lifestyle her hormones are probably completely out of whack…also on a side note energy drinks wreak havoc on women’s hormonal health. So she may have some serious underlying physical health issues that need to be addressed as well. Js. She needs good medical care💯💯🙏🏼♥️
They always look at the medical first which is a good thing. Then address the mental health. Angela has been treated for schizophrenia/bipolar/psychosis since she was very young. If often runs in twins too. And her twin amy is no longer with us. She has led an unfortunate life with her ex trafficking her in the streets and she feels worthless. He left her and she couldn't see her kids she was too messed up. Im sure they will do the best they can with the once a month injection of Risperdal antipsychotic. And that will get her thinking back in line so she can make good decisions again. Lets hope they keep her long enough this time to get her lipoma removed, her teeth looked at and her eye❤❤❤

She needs medication and that will help once she's stabilized. I'm glad they got her in. Maybe a case worker can help getting her into housing. She needs to get SSI and that should help toward getting her off the street.
She diesnt want to loose her freedom-- facilities and hospitals can be scary-- but if she has a safe place to go with help and care several times a week, that could help her greatly.
