I believe the main problem was that Protoss got caught completely off guard. He wasn't just surprised by the timing attack, he was actively playing as if Rush were going to take a 3rd and hunker in for a long game and who could blame him after sniping 2 tanks early. I watched this replay from Rich's POV and he was so casual with his unit production. There was a lot of time that units weren't being made. He also didn't bother to scout Terran's main enough to see his build and was about to take a 4th himself. It looked like he was so sure it was going to be a long game. By the time he realized what was happening it was too late and he hadn't made enough units. He almost held too, despite being so lackadaisacal with unit production. Another thing I noticed from Rich's POV was that it wasn't obvious the moment Rush moved out that it was a 6 fact timing attack because his observer was barely in range and only saw part of Rush's army. He never saw more than 4-5 tanks move out. As Terran was moving out Rich wasn't even producing out of all his gateways. He had 2 that weren't making anything. It's not until Terran was in the middle of the map that Rich started producing out of all his gates. that being said, Rush's timing was perfect. He moved out immediately after getting Reaver dropped so that Toss couldn't use the most effective unit at slowing down the push. Had Rich's observer been more in range and he knew what was happening, he still probably could have used that reaver to slow down the push from the side, but like I said, I don't think he realized what was happening initially. it's also unfortunate that Rich's shuttle speed wasn't done until Terran was in the middle of the map. that too could have been researched sooner.
He ruined his reputation by trying to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars from his fans. He’s a garbage person. Bisu and Sea are also awful people just saying.
@@susugam3004you don’t know about the crypto scam that is 100% the reason for Flash’s absence?!?! Maybe look it up. It was a massive massive massive situation.
@@susugam3004RUclips is silencing my replies. Look it up, Flash set up a crypto scam. Recruited Bisu and Sea to pump it up. So fans would invest. With the plan to then steal all of the fans money that was invested. It was a huge situation. Look it up.
Yes, Rich had an insane good start by killing two tanks early game, then went to greedy thinking Rush won’t push too fast due to tank count. The leg should have done a min ago and he should’ve had 2 reavs but none of them.
Thanks both of you, very good points. He should have put much more work into delaying the push. His reaver harass was really pathetic, he didn’t slow the push, and he didn’t have legs. Even if he miscalculated and thought the early damage meant he didn’t have to commit to early reaver harass OR early legs in favor of getting up the early Nexus, not delaying the push was just bad play. You should do that in any game (am I right with that?)
Rich was late on zealot legs but he was also behind on macro. If you take away the probe advantage at the start of the push then protoss is on equal supply with terran. That's not good and it's an indication that this timing attack is hitting perfectly when the resources on the protoss 3rd have been fully invested but have not paid off yet. I think RT is right that some protosses will figure out how to hold from this position by delaying the push and getting zealot legs in time but it still feels very tight. It seems like it would be much better to get a bit more scouting information to see the 6 factories earlier and delay the 3rd a bit so you can have a few more units for the push. But also if you're investing all that into reaver+shuttle speed you actually need to get more than 0 damage with it! If he had flown his shuttle a bit more to the right he could've avoided the scarab having to path around the minerals and end up dudding. Perhaps the reaver could also have helped more at shooting down some reinforcements while his main army worked on delaying the push. As is, the reaver and shuttles did almost nothing and that was quite bad!
I really wanted SSL Barracks vs Snow to have Barracks actually doing a big macro game like Light but it didn't happen. I'd kill for a Barracks vs Light or Scan or Flash or Sharp or Speed or JyJ or Royal game. Love the casts by the way!
Now I watched on "home of starcraft" channel Soulkey vs Flash BO5. Soulkey won 3:2 I think... It is close between them now and Flash is not even in top shape.. Soulkey is..
No question about it. We have 25 years of game play to review. Protoss rarely wins a star league or the race survivor series. Even the matchup that is supposed to be Protoss favored (pvt) Protoss doesn’t do well at high levels. I Watch the daily pro league matches Protoss get slaughtered every day.
Protoss need to make 6 , 7 differentes units to Win 1 or 2 units Vs ZErg: muta + hidra ; zea + goon+ Cross, reaver, templar, archon, dt+ suttle Vs terran: Vult + tank ; zea + goon+ reaver, templar, archon, dt+ suttle + Carrier + arbiter
Appreciate you taking the opportunity to extract a lesson from every cast. Entertaining and educational
I enjoyed the post game analysis. Really cool to think on the game at a deeper level. Thanks for the videos.
This simple title gave me chills
A new Artosis Cast? Chills.
1 minute after upload and 3 comments already... Artosis watchers are insane
Indeed. Speaking for myself anyway.
chill out

pretty easy when the videos come out at the same time everyday
I'm addicted to chills. Who else?

Ruin, rich, and rush….such creative naming

The Protoss Command Center
And your fascination with Mario and Luigi. We all have our faults.
Love this one a day Broadway! It's so great man! Thanks for all your dedication!!
Rich's bnk was just too high, he should've macroed better

Problem has to be how long Legs took, no? And he didn’t put enough pressure soon enough with the Reaver.

combination of not starting legs ASAP and also not making terran siege tank 3 times

I guess the early push they see no way of stopping gives other races the same feeling of fighting dark swarm and carriers

Zerg is so HYPE!
Good to be back on ArtosisCasts.
So many toss lose due to slow legs.
Do any of the pros ever do 2v2 or 3v3 team games? That would be awesome.
Yes
Saturday chills
Is this the same rich that used to dominate in Heroes of the Storm? lol
Roses are red
Starcraft gives chills
I enjoy protoss
But still get no grills
No girls and you are protoss player? Maybe you mistake terran for protoss? As far as I know Protoss players gets all girls ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Cutie for Rush, ayaya
Chills!
Yes
If terran is down 10 workers at say the 10 min mark, who has the advantage?
Yes
RT, where’s Last? Haven’t heard of him in a while
Rich aka Brain - Son Kyung Hoon?
can someone confirm?
glad to hear that you're finally hopping off the LIGHT propaganda machine and you're finally admitting that RUSH is the better terran.. !!!!

Does Rich have a previous nick?
Sad game.
So glad there is no flash
Since protoss is worst race in the game.........probably.
