Confused? LONG STORY SHORT:
My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. We’re one big, complicated, blended family & every second of our story is on RUclips, you can start from the beginning here: • 8 Weeks Pregnant!
FAQ: Yes, we’re done having kids.
FAQ: Names and ages of the kids: Caden (step son, born in 2009), Lilia (daughter, born in 2010), Tommy (step son, born in 2010), Kyson (son, born in 2012), Kaden (son, born in 2012), Landen (son, born in 2014), Addelyn (daughter, born in 2016)
FAQ: Who are the dads? Gabe (Lilia’s dad), Drake (Kyson, Kaden, and Landen bio dad), Chris (Caden, Tommy, Addelyn’s dad)
Turn the sofa to face the corner where the tv is going, so it won’t be against the walls. It will create a hallway/ transition and then it will be a bit more cozy and everyone will face the tv :)
This was exactly what I was thinking!!!!!!
Same here!
Yes! exactly my idea
Yep was coming to comment the same thing
You saved me some typing lol I was thinking that
Addie is so cute the way she trys so hard to keep up with her brothers n sister! Her jumping on the trampoline n doing the splits! I'm impressed! All your children are so well balanced n kind. A tribute to you, Chris, Mimi n Pops! You, Jess are so Blessed to have such a giving n selfless mom. I salute your whole family!God bless yall. 🙏🏻❤🤗
Jessica, you literally have the sweetest/best kids in the entire world...when they were showing you their mother's day gifts & hearing them read you the letters was honestly so adorable! 😊 love you all so much
Turn the couch where one back side is facing the windows and the other back side is facing the kitchen. Leave walk space between the couch and the windows.
Caden is such a sweetheart!! His reaction to the trampoline was so cute and the poem made me melt ❤❤
@@nleb1993 auto correct messed it up and it actually Kayden
My firstborn daughter just graduated yesterday im 36 i was 16 and pregnant and gave birth at 17. Im the very most proudest mom u could can even imagine! I love ur videos and OMG just wait till lilla(hope i spelled that right) is a high school grad it will make u cry cuz i did!!!! ❤btw me an my hubby have been together since 2002. 4 kid later ..2 girls 2 boys . We are still going strong
I can totally see Mimi living in a tiny house! 💗 The trampoline was a great addition to your new home and your children’s reaction was priceless. 💞
definitely put the couch so that the corner would look at where you want the tv, so one of the ends would kind of extend the hallway to lilia’s bedroom. it will kind of block off the living room but it should still feel decently open. other than that yea get another couch 🤷🏼♀️
I agree with this!
you dont need to get a new couch, just rotate it and it will look alot better
That’s so awesome Lillia got into leadership. Congratulations Lillia ❤❤
Jess OMG your kids are so sweet!! I cried hearing their poems and cards!! I miss getting them kind of gifts my kids are 22,18 & almost 16. I was a teen mom too I’m going to be 38 on the 31st I was 15 when I had my oldest. I hope you & Mimi had an Amazing Mothers Day!!
I would say either put the couch against the wall where the tv is now, pointing at that slanted wall, or maybe against the windows? Or have the couch floating in the middle of the room pointing at the corner where the tv is going. You definitely want the opening of the couch facing the kitchen, that’ll open the room up so much more
Jess you going to have to get this dog... that and the chickens are in EVERY guess😂
Did anyone else listen to the poem cards from the kids and get a little teary eyed? Kaden's got me. All of them were so precious, don't get me wrong. :)
they're such sweethearts. Kyson has the biggest hearts. They all do but Kyson needs to be a poet or a writer. He's such a sweetie
Why do they always want cereal for an AFTER school snack? Lol my teens always come home and eat a MIXING BOWL size of cereal! Like what?! 🙈🤣
I like your moms layout for her ADU--- instead of adding so many sliding doors, which I see she loves, add a long rectangular window that can be opened for fresh air.
For resale value purposes, I would build it out as an apartment with 3 rooms:
**Living space w/ Kitchen- full size kitchen (small version), not a kitchenette
**Full Bathroom w/ sink, toilet, shower, and stacked washer dryer w a small linen closet(washer/dryer supplies)
**** add big rectangular skylight over the bathroom, or one over the shower
**Bedroom w/ closet
**** add a skylight in the bedroom
*move the entry man-door to the back where she has sliding door or window next to the sink (this will be a private entrance)
*do WALL TO WALL FRENCH DOORS/ BI-FOLDING DOORS on the part facing your yard, and put in a small area with pavers/or a concrete porch area
* flip the bedroom to have the north wall facing your field with a sliding door/huge window for the view
Why do people feel the need to give unsolicited advice, or make suggestions like this.. especially when it's not asked for!! It's clear they have a plan and are gonna do it their way so your long comment wasn't necessary
@@SweetkissesAda your comment wasn't necessary lol. mine just gave other design options. they have an architect, so he/she will come up with a great design. I'm a Construction Project Manager and I work with Architects, Designers, Engineers, etc on a regular basis...
Turn the couch to create a walk away between the windows & couch. It’ll be facing inward to the tv and won’t feel like a separate room but will have its own separate little area!
i’m literally crying at addies poem 🥺🥺🥺 that was so cute
I think turn the sofa so it’s facing the little corner you want the tv, and angle it so you can get around but it will open up the space so much as well as being able to still get round but create a ‘zone’ rather than shutting it off! ❤
I personally like that it is “closed off” because I feel like it separates the spaces.
I would make the area with the couch your dining room and the room your calling the dining room your family/ living room.
Great idea
That’s a great idea!
Turn the couch in front of the window. When its open like that its better to have 2 separate couches instead of a sectional.
Turn the couch so that one section is to the right of the TV and the one that is now against the wall becomes the side that is parallel with the kitchen. That way you can push it in a little so that it doesn't get in the way of the walkway. It will also create a sort of path to that other hallway next to the TV. Then the wall that the couch is on now is open to decoration potential!
I personally wouldn't put the TV on that slanted corner. Trying to slant the couch to surround that one corner will absolutely make it feel closed off and also just more awkward given the squared shape of the rest of the room. Leave that space available for a nice decorative table or something!
You could also get multiple separate couches instead of the big one to open things up more but I don't think that's really the style you are going for.
Put your tv where you want it and then have the couch floating in the middle of the room. It’ll create an open space and then you’ll still have a hallway to the bedroom
I think something that would be really cool for Lilia is Civil Air Patrol which involves a lot of leadership and Aerospace and of the other kids are interested it would be fun for them too! The downside is that you have to be 12 to join so everyone else would have to wait a bit.
Put the large part by the windows and smaller part where you have the broken tv. Cats and kids will love the one by the windows.
Those Mother’s Day gifts made me cry 😭
Nothing better then homemade gifts ❤
Your kids are the sweetest ❤❤
I'm sure this has been suggested but Sofa away from wall flip it so it lines up next the the wall with the arch. It will face the fireplace wall and feel more inviting walking in the main path
I heard that Jess! “My kids in the future!” Can’t wait for that!! ❤
She meant her already existing kids can live there
Put the tv on that wall where you said, and then flip the couches, have one where the tv stand used to be and then have it connect it and then both couches will face the tv
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Wednesday evening and night with the kids and can't wait to see what you guys have in store for your guys future house.
Now she’s taking care of 7 children how thoughtful ❤❤😂😂 I love your bond with your kids!!
She only has 5 kids the other 2 are Chris boys she only be with them when they come to visit
Watching this next clog I’m a row no matter what kind of mood I’m in right now, I mean these always cheer me up anyways!!❤
Your kids are so grateful ❤️
Definitely use that couch for the kid lounge and get one that fits that livingroom. My vote :) 🙋♀️
I truly love your channel. Keep doing the best work.
Everyone seems so happy!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
STOP that poem that your addie gave you was the exact i poem i had back in 1998- i remember my mom painting my hands for and stamping onto paper that she hung up in my room for 20 years 😭😭😭😭 i was literally just thinking about it the other day and i couldnt for the life of me remember the poem until now
i also had a flashback to being like 18 months old posing for the photo that my mom put that poem onto only because it was the first time i ever saw bubbles lmfao thats how they got me to look super happy in the picture 😂😂 probably my first memory...
2vof my kids did the same poem in kindergarten.
3:53 if you put the tv on the old fireplace wall turn the couch where the back is facing the back yard 💜💜
Your family is so precious, I cried when they gave you their Mother's Day crafts ❤
Pull it off the wall so it doesn’t stick out and put a small, thin console table behind it. Add 2 chairs on the left side. Art/Mirror on the walls, plant by the tv. I think the space works great! You can definitely make it work!
The ending was so cute lilia was dancing at the front and addy was behind her watching her for the next move 🥰🥰 I love how close they are ❤❤
Put the largest section of the couch so the back faces the wall with windows leaving a large walkway behind it. Then divide the remaining sections and add them to the ends of the larger one creating corners. Then you can either put the TV above the future fireplace or on the wall across from the newly setup couch. If you get or have built a piece of furniture that has cabinets on the bottom and either shelves on either side of where you could put the TV. And one longer shelter that goes across the top you could make it look like a built-in piece that also gives you more storage This setup allows you to see from the kitchen to the other wall without anything blocking the space visually making it look larger. You could put a large family photo above your future fireplace. You could add a couple of comfy chairs and a small table with a lamp or sconces to the far wall. Add a blanket ladder or have a movable Ottoman with storage to hold blankets. If you get the built-in you can store board games, puzzles and other things in the cabinets on the bottom and add decor and books and pictures on the shelves which could have glass doors or not.
I’d love a “what Mimi eats in a day” video!
I've been looking for a new video for DAYS! LOL
If the couch goes in two pieces you can always put the long couch piece in front of the windows and leave the other where it is and that would open it up . And you can still put the tv on the wall where you want it
Couch idea…..
Just turn it and put the larger side against the right side of the doorway, to create sorta a hallway effect and it will only block part of the dining area because that will be the shorter side
I love yalls vids so much ❤️❤️❤️
STOP jamming the sofas against the wall. You do it in all of your spaces. A sofa can “float” in the room with a table behind it. Furniture jammed up against the walls does NOT look good. Put a bookcase, or a buffet or some nice piece of furniture on the wall and create conversational seating arrangements with sofas and chairs. Layer the furniture.
Rotate the couch 90 degrees to the left, and place it coming straight out from the archway and turning towards where it was.
Listen, all of your kids are so super cute but can we talk about how insanely beautiful Kyson is?? Hims just so handsome and seems like the softest soul!
I’m in school to be an interior designer. If you prefer a sectional I would recommend a couch that has a shorter back. Put the couch where the TV and open area is now. Add two chairs to where the opening to the kitchen is. Just decorate the fire place wall and put the tv on the wall with the opening to the front door. Sorry this is kinda hard to explain with just words I’m a visual person.
I actually love you guys ❤❤
Every time Jess says "square feet" take a shot.
Yup turn the sofa to face the new TV corner. Have one edge of the couch touch the other wall with the arch doorway to create a "hallway" keeping the living room that open feel
Certified interior designer here
Oh then you can add a recliner or 2 cute comfy chairs on the other side
im crying about these gifts their all so sweet❤️
I would move the large couch lengthwise where that open airway is, the couch would make a hallway and move the tv opposite the couch, you could then move the smaller couch where the large couch is now making sure it doesn't stick out, you would make it an inviting place for your family to gather to watch tv or a movie.
Can you link the trampoline please 💜 love you videos
I personally would get two 3 seater with a lower back (maybe in a brighter colour) sofas and put them opposite sides to the TV (where there are no walls) to create a walk way, but still be open?
Then a few cool chairs, that way when your family get together they can face each other for convos or they can cuddle on the sofas to watch a movie. Plus when you have parties you can then move the sofas to the inside walls (as noone is gonna be watching the TV) so you have a big open space for games, dancing.. etc.
Hope that makes sense.
Looks like you guys had an awesome day! LOVE YOU GUYS!!
get two love seats and a chair with end tables so it’s more of an open living room
I’m so excited for Mimi and her tiny home. The trampoline was a great idea.I loved the kids reaction. The kids cards were so cute I hope you and Mimi had a good Mother’s Day.🥰
i love ur vlogs i wait for them all the time
for the living space, i reccomend getting a new sofa that doesnt look like that one a smalller one, and 2 extra regular chairs. put the tv in that slanted wall and push the couch more to the middle so it wont stick out!!!
put the couch in the other side so everyone on the couch is able to see the tv! than on the other side of where the couch is leaning against put 2 chairs and 1 table there to look more cozy
For the couch I think you should turn it so it’s facing the corner and the tv is on the middle little wall so it’s more open if you want it to look more open!! 😊
I think for the couch you should put the long side on the wall where the TV is so I won’t feel as closed off in the kitchen and you can see the TV better
Slide the couch towards the window. They’ll be walking room around it all and it will be more centered and you’ll be able to push it forward so it won’t be in the doorway, maybe 🤗
I just love watching you guys......you are a good mom
Your kid are so sweet ❤❤❤❤❤
Turn the couch along the wall with the window like long end along window and short end devising kitchen and living room. It’ll open it ip a lot more
I’ve never heard of a springless trampoline! That would be nice!
One of my mutual friends has the same Oopsy Daisy shirt that Addie was wearing😂
Maybe try turning the couch? Make the back toward window ,so everyone can see the tv if you mount the TV where the fireplace was.
Move the sofa to face the corner and then if you do put the tv up in the corner put the white stand underneath it and then put floating shelves on the other wall and add decor
That’s exactly what we do at our dance studio to
I think you should put the couch over by the windows, put the tv on the angled part of the wall!!
Put the couch in front of the windows, flipping it that way will work, and then you can add some chairs on the other side where the couch is now.
That is a sweet Mother’s Day card so is all her gifts
Ideally you’d flip things around and have a couch facing the fall it’s currently on, creating a walkway between the couch and glass door toward the hallway
My Mother bought us the same trampoline an it latest at least 8 years and we are 3 kids. I loved it!
Hi Jesssfam good morning happy Thursday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of all of you
Hi!! I think the tv should go on the normal flat wall where it is now, not on the angled wall
Just rotate the sofa making kind of a walkway from the arch door. That way a large seating area is also facing the TV where you want it to be. May not be what you want at the moment but will be fine for now and you have bigger fish to fry right off I am sure. Priorities!! A right now solution can wait. You have a nice couch, a TV for the kids to watch and so on. I am sure it is bugging you more than them...LOL! Move on and come back to it later!
i am always mesmerised by your eyelashes, what product do you use? p.s love the vlogs :)
Put the back of the couch against the window, and it will then conveniently face the tv from anywhere someone is sitting. It will open up the room more.
All of their things made me cry
Heyy Jessica ❤are you doing Addie’s room just the like her own room
Rotate it. Especially if you're going to put the TV in the corner. Or separate the 2 pieces if you can.
Put the couch in the center, it doesn’t need to be on the wall and then maybe add that console table to that wall. 🤔
My kids names are aliza andrea isaac an isaiah!❤❤❤
The kids are going to live outside this summer. ☺️
Love the videos 😊
Do they still do the podcast?
I’m so early I love your channel❤
Mimi should just get an RV in the backyard. Would be perfect.
Where is Mimi's husband
I love that u guys are so positive but so real at the same time also can I get pinned please
That living room needs a sofa and love seat. It’s not quite the shape for a sectional. If you can’t walk all the way around the back of a sectional it can really make the room feel small.
Can you put the couch along the window and the TV on the wall across where the couch is now?
