You could use the builder pattern to reduce params in one call and do something like `column_builder.new().layer(layer).colors([(r,g,b)])...build()` It does increase the boilerplate but also allows you to set sensible defaults in the 'new()' call and you only have to call the builder functions that you actually need for a given column.
