Would it be advisable to use gusset plates in the base frame assembly for the FEA analysis? Because most practical base frame assemblies have many webs and Gusset plates interconnecting the base frames.

Is there a difference between Frame Analysis and Stress Analysis tools used in Inventor?

The main difference is the type of elements. In frame analysis you work with beam and bar elements that are simplified with line elements. In inventor simulation (not Nastran) you can use shell elements and solid elements. In Nastran you can combine the three types of elements.
