I am from Singapore, it's been 13 years since my last photo visit to Chau Doc-Ang Giang. I can still recognize the mosque and the stilted houses, the people there are very hospitable and the food is great. Tq for sharing this video which brings back my sweet memories about this place. Oh yeah you are right, many Cham Muslims fled from Vietnam because Vietnamese invaded the Champa Kingdom since 15th century AD. They fled to the neighboring countries such as China’s Hainan Island , Kampung Cham of Cambodia , Banda Aceh of Indonesia , Malaysia , and provinces of Southern Thailand such as Pattani , Narathiwat , and Songkla etc.
Not all but a few. Mostly along the east coast of Malaysia where Cham refugees fled the war in their home country. One example is Pengkalan Chepa in Kelantan state of Malaysia, was a port where Cham people landed. The word Chepa is originally from Champa-Chepa

The Cham people is Malay. They speak same language and write same alphabet , Malay language and Jawi. They are the original people of Champa (now became Vietnam)

@@Turkey99-AtaturkChickenCham (Champa) people speak Cham language which is branch of Austronesian language family, the same language family with Malay and Phillipino even they are living in south Vietnam since hundred or might be thousand years ago, they once had very close relationship with Acheh-Gayo people of Indonesia, and most of them once fleet to Malay peninsula and Java after their kingdom was defeated by Dai Viet (which we call them Vietnam at the present day). Yes the language is not really similar with Malay but it is still closer to Malay rather than Austro-Asiatic (Kmer, Vietnam). Talking about skin color, Malay people and other Austrenesian speaking people have very wide range of skin tone.. some have light skin and some other have darker skin because of intermarriage with other native races like Mon people, Negritos, Papuan/Australian, Vedic people, etc..

Hi Im from Malaysia. Ive been to Kampong Cham in Cambodia in 2012. The Cham muslim people over there are very similar to these muslims in these kampongs in Vietnam in their houses, dressings etc. Very nice video❤

Hi Im from Malaysia. Ive been to Kampong Cham in Cambodia in 2012. The Cham muslim people over there are very similar to these muslims in these kampongs in Vietnam in their houses, dressings etc. Very nice video❤
