Christina Lamb is (by far) my favourite journalist/war correspondent, and her books are unputdownable. This is though the first time I’ve ever heard her speak, and I couldn’t decide if the connection was seriously faulty or if she is has very tremulous tone to her voice. It was very off putting….I think I’ll stick with her books!
Tried to listen to her. I can't. Hope I will never hear a voice like that again.. But I am sure she is a smart woman, with great books. I just could not listen to her. Got too much pain in my soul trying to.

Christina informs us he is uncaring. Who'd have guessed that this would be the case after he ordered the razing of Aleppo, repeated gassing his own people... Excellent insights
These posh British people are always astounded how ordinary people in power turn out to be. I'm not sure why this is the case but it has something to do with social class, and as a result they have unrealistic and hidebound expectations of what power and influence must be
When you meet people they can be different to what they project. She doesn't JUST say he is uncaring. She makes other observations as well including that he came across as being weak. Also that he looked like he was on the way out earlier, and obviously Putin revived his fortunes as a distraction from Ukraine. She speaks of other topics as well and offers meaningful insights especially about parallels with the Taliban and what we might expect from the composition of the future government and consensus-based outcomes. Your inability to actively listen, is the issue here.
Better to read one of her books, or do what I do with RFK and Biden, play at 1.5 or 1.75 speed and it’s more fluid and easy to understand. Shame cos she is very intelligent, whilst RFK is frustration to listen to the lack of common sense 🤷♂️
How superficial of you. I suppose you would want her to fix her hair and makeup as well? Listen to the substance. You're a weird person for attacking something she obviously cannot control.
@@deborahcurtis1385 , I never mentioned her hair or appearance. Her voice is hard to listen too, therefore it is hard to listen to what she said. Very similar to RFK, Jr.
I'm reminded of the comment I read once in, I think, Private Eye that someone had "cleverly avoided being libelous by being illegible". This interview cleverly avoids offending anyone by being completely inaudible - I have no idea what she was saying - possibly she was demonstrating what weak mediocre and unimpressive sounds like!
AND? If you have a condition like a famous person does that make you like them? Can you understand what she's saying? Have you made any effort to? Or do you think that people with a medical condition should be locked up never to go on public shows to give an opinion, (well informed and erudite as it is), because they SOUND like someone else. Take a lookout yourself Mr Borz because you're unimpressive in content.
The New Regime has to be Moderate and not go all out Islamic State and get on with the rest of the free World and build up Trade and respect, then they will be going forward I hope not Backwards,
No but you should be, from embarrassment at making such an obvious and rude remark. Have you never heard 'don't make personal remarks?' What do you have to offer about her content? Nothing, clearly.
Indeed, not modern, and like so many of Russian influenced regions puppet states taking money for protection and to do as told. This may be the opportunity it needed to start taking steps toward modernisation. I also imagine that many of the people will want to return home from the west, and the less Russian interference the less migration at our borders
I thought he was a brutal dictator, absolute evil 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Make your mind up . Nothing wrong with him. Everyone is a dictator to the west and nato, when they want all countries resouces, or regime change..😂
I love hearing britts talking about a leader and their burden of their role, calling them weak when the British government goes after mean tweets. When a leader is too staunch; BAD! If they come of as soft ; BAD! More emotions ! Jail the offenders of your precious feeefeees!

Heard her interviews before It's her voice

Her voice is like RFK Jr's voice just awful
Spasmodic dysphonia, same incurable condition as RFK Jr., Katherine Hepburn, Diane Rehm, etc.
What is she saying? Do you have a transcript that I can read? It sounds like English, but I can't understand her words.

Yet Tony Blair wanted to knight him and he stayed at Buckingham Palace.
How the posh brits loved him at one point, maybe Christina did too

Are they? Is it possible to terrorise a country, gas people and destroy cities and be weak at the same time?
@@chrimbus71 There once was hope !

Thanks for the subtitles.
She is hard to listen too. I had enough of her after a minute and a half. Sounds Ike RFK, Jr., sorry.
😅true

That’s strange, he said the same about Times Radio & we are in full agreement with him on this.

Awful sound!
Did HTS not manage a corner of Syria for several years? If so, how things were there should tell us something about the future.
She speaks like RFK
Even worse than RFK..

Lets hope they can go Forward Not Backwards ,
I think your latter is more like it.
The New Regime has to be Moderate and not go all out Islamic State and get on with the rest of the free World and build up Trade and respect, then they will be going forward I hope not Backwards,
Enough, I can’t understand what she says. Is she crying?

The priesthood is the power, not the king
I heard he has small hands.
By extension, also small ………!
Kind of ironic names: Assad means lion, so lion meeting lamb and the lion turned out to be weak and unimpressive.
They didn't get rid of Assad, Assad stepped down after talks they all knew what was coming well before.
RFK Jr. sounds like he's got a cold.
Weak , medicore etc - sounds a lot like someone about to be president of somewhere. 😅
Almost everywhere
Yes most bullies are weak themselves. Well observed.
Unlike heavyweights like Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss, and Donald Trump. Great Leaders. The best leaders. Very impressive people. *waves hands*
The Banality of Evil.
Will let they say the same as Putin and Netanyahu
Mediocre enough to stay in Power Forever 😂
Maybe Syria isn't really a modern nation state, a flag isn't enough to qualify.

We shouldn't believe a word that lot say
True, with Assad's reputation, I wouldn't trust him to walk the dog.
I thought he was a brutal dictator, absolute evil

His name says it all Asad person!!!!
She said nothing we dont know already 😮
Easy to say from the comfort of a studio in England.
its the Times way, poshos living in a bubble, telling the world how to live, a bit like most politicians across Europe
Meh.
Another nepo-baby.
Assad was brutal but definitely not mediocre
