Not only is this blanket quick to make but also affordable. Use your favourite worsted weight yarn doubled up to make the blanket bulky. You can also use a super bulky weight yarn, as shown in the tutorial. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in Oatmeal.

I owe you a huge debt of gratitude.
I've been crocheting since 2019, and while I think I have a good grasp on the art, I certainly do struggle. I could never wrap my head around C2C. Tried it 2 years ago, got frustrated and gave up.
I followed along tonight and BAM! I'm doing it!! I have a whole new world to explore! Thank you! ❤
Side note, your magic ring method is the only method that works and makes sense (for me anyways). So simple and perfect. You are a pioneer!

I have been watching C2c videos, but could never seem to understand how to begin or decrease. Your explanation on C2C was what I needed thank you, for taking the time and for the inspiration to try this technique.

Oh I love it!!! Now I can't wait to finish the blanket I'm doing to do this one. 😅. Last night I searched everywhere to find a textured patern and nothing jumped out. Woke up and bam....here you are. ❤️ Thank you!

Thank you for the tutorial, I have actually worked up 3 blankets, throw size but dislike when decreasing the way the top looks with the slip stitches. I never thought to chain 3, I am going to try it

Thank you for this video. The blanket is beautiful and your tutorial made C2C easy to understand for me. Thanks so much! Now I feel like I understand it well enough to attempt a C2C project. 😊😊😊

Thank you so much for this great tutorial. I am new to crocheting and when I first saw other videos on C2C, felt very lost and thought I would not be able to achieve this stitch. However, you explain it very well. Thanks again.

I’ve never done a chunky C2C , it’s gorgeous, especially in off white! I learned C2C from my ex-husband’s Grandmother, back in the 1980’s!! It has been a favorite, go to pattern when I want something easy, colorful, and quick!! Most of my family has at least one C2C gifted to them from me!

Thank you for this tutorial! I've done C2C before, but I learned to slip stitch the whole way along the edge of the decrease block instead of chaining. That made it very difficult for me to do a border. This is a game changer!! I can't wait to do my next C2C with this technique!

Thanks for the easy to understand explanations and visual showing of how the c2c works - I was struggling a bit with the length vs width (I didn't want a square but a rectangle) and also didn't know how to work the decrease rows. This tutorial helped me complete my first c2c graphic grid blanket and it turned out beautiful!!! ^_^

Thank you for suggestion of using two strands of worsted weight to get a more contemporary look. And I love the border tutorial!
PS. Your instructions and production value are superb!❤️

That yarn is pretty! Im here to see what makes it modern!
I made C2C in the L&T Royal Velvet yarn today about the size of a full size bed🥰
I don't do the 3/6 I do the 2/5. Also I don't chain 3 for the decrease edges. I slip stitch back across and then into the chain 2😄
I'm here to see the edging!
    😄😄😄😄😄

Why did I ever think a C2C blanket was too difficult? LOL Once I got the hang of it, I knocked out a baby blanket in no time. I can't wait to make a few cozy and soft blankets for Winter. Thank you so much!

i enjoyed your video and am definitely motivated to try C2C after watching it. The texture of the blanket using the super bulky yarn gives it such an intriguing stitch definition, making the finished product look complicated. I always wanted to try C2C, but after your video it's been bumped up on my to do next list.
Can you share what yarn you used in the video? Thank you for sharing with us.

    Gauge:
3 tiles by 3 blocks equal to 4" with 9mm crochet.
I had purchased this pattern and can’t wait to make it!!
I’m just not sure how to do the gauge. I don’t know what it means by blocks and tiles. Do you have a picture of what it is suppose to look like and is it 4x4 or just 4 inches wide?
    Thanks so much!!

    • @mjsoffthehook
      @mjsoffthehook  Год назад

I don’t have any pictures, measure out a box, all sides should have 3 boxes and each side should equal 4” to meet gauge (The corner to corner pattern is done in blocks as you can see in the video)
