Praise God! I'm here right now. My wife died in a very traumatic way in October 2023, as if just dying wasn't traumatic enough. My dad, a man of God, died in November 2023. It has been a rough 10 months and seems God has forgotten me. He has been silent this whole time. Yet, in the darkness, I keep telling others, "Keep crying out to God in the dark and lonely times. He hears you and He will help you." He has certainly been helping me giving me His supernatural strength. It just seems like He is not there for now. I needed this. I love Paul Washer. Thank you. Anyone going through similar, read Isaiah 41:8-20 everyday. It's helped me tremendously. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ!
I remember praying, "God I want to believe in You, in Jesus dying and resurrecting as the Bible says. Please give me faith." I got a thought saying, "Why do you want to believe?" I responded, "Because I believe that Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life and that no one goes to the Father except through Him/You." I then burst out laughing and crying. Hallelujah!!!!
Yes that’s true, God will never leave His children. Paul Washer didn’t say that God will literally leave you, He is saying that God can take away the sense of His presence (that He is with you) so His children learn to trust that He is with them weither they feel it or not.
@@BronsonLivesHere209 what about Christ on the cross? “Why have you forsaken me?” God in that moment literally forsake him and let Jesus pay the price for our sins. You could say in that moment God “left” him. Would you agree?
@@BronsonLivesHere209 I see this in the heart of the psalms all throughout. Psalm 13, Psalm 22, Psalm 42, Psalm 44, Psalm 88 to name a few. Certainly God never casts us out and never leaves or forsakes us. John 6:37 - All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. But we sometimes, and for some people often times in various seasons, experience times of difficulty and longing for God when we struggle to see him. I think this is what Paul Washer is referring to. The cry of the heart that says with the psalmist “Where are you God? Why have you forsaken me?”
