- You will need a diagnostic equipment to reset the light if your diagnostics won't connect try going in to it as a 2015 I find this works on all 500x

Hi. I'm Michael from sweden. I've got diagnostic equipment from Launch 129E and I can't reset the service lamp with it, everything else seems to work. I'we got a Fiat 500x. In your video you use Autel but I couldn't see wich one. Or do you think any Autel would work.
Most autel will work have you gone in to the vehicles speedometer ect ? To gain access to the service reset menu
My Launch can't auto detect Fiat 500 models at all. But it find VIN code and says is a Fiat model year 2015 thats it. The little red box have not a clue that is a 2018 Fiat 500x. Stupid Launch. Suppose that I have to by another one just for Fiat service lamp. When I manually select 500x can I see ECM. TCM. ABS. and DTCM. I'm so bored with new cars. A Autel it will be.
@@KnifeForge I find now days you'll need a few different diagnostic machines unfortunately... wouldn't recommend snap on

hi what models perform the maintanace service rest looking for one but most dont say aoly say oil reset
If its the diagnostic software most decent scanners will reset if you go though the speedometer interface and will give an option. Also if you can try to go in to them as a different fiat vehicle like a 500l or a different modle of that era you can reset them as most use the same software script
Foxwell 650elite does it about £180 though
thanks its a 500 with the new dash so yep its in dash interface just i was looking to get a obd tool like yours but wasnt sure as they dont say service maintance reset
was looking at this but its just my look it wont access the interface this is on amazon
I'd recommend a launch or newer autel I have used the new snap on and I think personally they are rubbish (my opinion) I also think a snooper or a Delphi clone is the cheapest option and are pretty good 👍
Also I believe that they used the same software interface on the fiat tipo aswell

My parents went to a mechanic for service on their 2018 fiat 500L and they weren't able to turn the notification off after the service. Any advice? We don't have a scan tool and the car has just 12k kms. Is the mechanic just incompetent?
Is there any good reason why you can't turn off this light and notification without special equipment? Seems bad like design from Fiat to make it impossible or downright annoying to do simple maintenance on your own vehicle.
Use a mechanic who is willing to invest in technology that's my advice
