Man that heated wet suit came in just in time. Hope everybody had a blessed and happy thanksgiving. As always great info and video from Hank and Mike. You guys rock. 💯% squad
So I have some standing timber in a lake that was left before flooding a lake beside/in the channel in some places. Bottom depth 40-50ft and the trees extend up to 25-15 feet. below the surface. I do not have FFS, just SIDI + traditional. I have some DD crankbaits to bounce off the cover, but I also will be trying some "old school" active sonar. Any suggestions for working in the trees? I had planned on weedless dropshot, maybe some jig+minnows on cheap reg and weedless jig hooks. I have a plug knocker so maybe spoons but I don't want to spook them off before having a chance either. Maybe even go vertical with a swim jig? A precisely tuned float n fly? Any suggestions? The timber is scattered on channel swing sections so it ought to be a great winter holding area.
Sounds like you have a plan. I love to toss a minnow rigged on a Weedless hook (the Weedless Ned hooks work great) vertical. And arig, or big glide also
Slow day today but I did catch a few on a Keitech with an underspin, caught 10+lb channel cat on a shaky head. I thought I had hooked into a mondo bass.
I love December my birthday Christmas and great fishing. I just ordered some more of those duo bayruff 85s they are one of my new favorite baits I’ve been using. Thank you Hank for another informative video. Tight lines 💯 #HUNDOSQUAD
If you ever wonder off on the Ft Loudon side and want to get on some good ones Haller at me. The only reason I said something about TN A rigs, was that I'm pretty sure I've seen that bank you have been on more then once up north. Thanks again for the vids man. I really do appreciate all the work you put in. I love the content when im not able to put my boat in the water at loudon
Bassgeek you running that Flashpoint with a snap and split ring? I been getting fouled up real bad with that thing. Haven't tried removing the split ring yet.
Good choices there Hank. I'm loving that AT Eclipse head with a 3.5" Bass Munitions Patriot swimbait. And it's hard to beat a jerk bait right now too. #100percentwatchsquad

Thanks happy Turkey Day
What lake are you on in TN that you can throw an a rig with 5 hooks. I have only seen 3 hook set up
If you are on the VA side of South Holston you can use all the hooks you want
However I was in Va when I filmed this
Right on man, no disrespect, glad you were able to get on some bass in VA dude. Thanks for the vids hank. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Take the split ring off if you’re using a clip or just tie strait to the clip. Hope this helps.
Great baits
Thanks!
