Thanks for the vid and details on this. Funny, I just got back to CT last night from riding in Moab over the last three days(riding trip of a life time 😎). I got the Tusk hose kit while I was away and am about to head out and do the thermostat delete on my 22 250 XC-w. Its a fairly simple job, but I thought I'd look for vid on it to make sure I don't miss anything.

Thanks for the view and subscribing! Hope you had good weather in Moab. I love that place! Did you drive the whole way? The tusk silicone hoses are a superb value compared to Samco. Let me know how the installation goes and how you like the Tusk hoses. Will you be posting any Moab videos?

@@ronnies2wheeladventures Two days of sun and nice temps, one in rain, wind and cold(on Slick Rock no less 🤣)
Going through tons of footage from Moab is whole other project, but I will be posting vids . We flew out and rented bikes from Tyler at Ride Moab Industries. I use many Tusk products.. Usually they are an amazing value, these hoses seem to be just that..

Any chance you can tell me where to get some of that pool repair hose?

Go to any pool supply store, like Leslie's, if you have one in your area . If you know a pool repair and maintenance company you probably could buy a small piece from them for just a few bucks.

Nice radiator protection! What brand is that?

Was on the bike when I got it. Never heard of them but they make some good stuff. The website appears to be in Europe. Not sure who US suppliers are. www.artafon.com/gb/

Did you have to bleed the coolant at the head? Water temp sensor. On my 22 TE300i I have to do that.

Leave the radiator cap off and I put a little coolant in and rock the bike from side to side then put a little more in and rock the bike from side to side. Rinse & repeat until full. You will hear an air burp at some point most likely. Should work same on a two-stroke as well as a 4-stroke.

on my TE I also have to loosen the water temp sensor and let some coolant out. I’ve been through it before.

The KTM manual says to do what @4JMcCart said. I also have a 2020 KTM xcw 300. While I’m sure the side to side does a good job the thermostat is a high point and some air might get trapped. It’s really easy to do when flushing or changing hoses on the radiator. Thanks for the video creation and sharing your experience and knowledge!

Hello, did you need to replace the t piece or just the hoses?

The T-Piece is the thermostat. If your goal is to remove the thermostat then you'll need to leave that out and just use the hoses as described on the video. Skip to 5:49 in the video

    How’s it running

Runs cooler for sure. Hottest part of the Summer yet to come. Fan doesn't cycle nearly as much. This mod works best in warmer climates.
